My car was towed for some reasons and i thought it was a battery issue. I told them that I replaced my battery one year ago but they did not tell me anything about almost 5 years battery warranty, which I could save about 310 bucks, including a diagnostic test at $135. Although I did not replace my battery there, but my mechanic in VA told me that actually that was the first thing once I said I changed it one year ago, I could get it free under the warranty. To make it short, they fixed the car and reset the electronic system because they said ABS light was on. They are very friendly and patient but definitely very overpriced. They provided a courtesy shuttle, which I thought very neat. However, they recommended me to replace the serpentine belt and they quoted about 200 before tax. So, I had to call my mechanic in Fairfax cuz I work in Fairfax and he told me that it normally costs about 110 and no charge for the diagnostic test. I couldnt tow to Fairfax. This was the only reason that I got repaired here. This morning, while driving on 270 S, my car was like slowdown-go and wobbled-go quite a few times and ABS light was on. So, I had to pull over my car. I do not really know what happened and that was really scary moment and my son was sitting in backseat. I never experienced before and I am not sure what happened to my car. Even though they are very nice and friendly, I wont go back because not only everything was way overpriced, but also I have doubts that they are reliable. **Updated** Andy called me back after I was done writing this review and explained about what the diagnostic test was for because all lights was on my dshboard and even my smart key wasnt working. I am still not sure that was really necessary to find out that my battery was shorted. Also, I told him that what my mechanic in Fairfax did to me the other day. Instead of just replacing the serpentine belt, he actually pointed out that what it was caused. Without removing that cause, even though I replace the belt, I would highly have the same issue next year. So, he removed the cause by lifting the engine and moving around something- not exactly sure what it was and replaced the best so that I would not worry about this belt issue any more. This is what I was trying to say about their reliability. Overall, they are pretty good people and their customer service was very good. I am not criticizing their services but more likely I am trying to write about what has happened.

I have been going to Precision Auto for years now and have never once had a problem with them. This time I had gotten in an accident in Rockville and instead of spending the extra money to get my car towed there I got it towed to a place closer by that was recommended by AAA. Once I got there the people were friendly enough at first when they thought I was going through my insurance to get my car fixed. They gave me a quote to fix my car at a little over $3000 and it wouldnt be ready for like 5 days. This seemed a little high to me and once I found out my insurance wouldnt cover it I decided to get a second opinion. I told Andy over at the shop what happened and then emailed him the quote with pictures to look at. He graciously took a look at them and that day got back to me informing me that he felt like some of their pricing seemed a bit off, but he couldnt tell for sure unless he saw the car. Once I told the other shop that the insurance company wasnt going to pay and I wanted another quote their tone changed and they said the first quote was high because they thought the insurance company was going to pay. When I told them I still wanted to get another quote but would let them give me a real quote this time, they turned mean and refused to even talk to me. So I had my car sent over to Precision Auto where they took a look at and saw that it wasnt as bad as I was originally told. In the end they were able to fix it in a day and it only cost me $800. PRECISION AUTO SAVED ME $2,200 OF MY OWN HARD EARNED CASH BECAUSE THEY ARE TRUSTWORTHY AND HONEST. If you need work done no matter where you are go to them.

I had my car serviced at Precision for several years until I moved to Frederick last year. I was always happy with their work and recommended them to other people in the Germantown area. However, driving to Germantown for an oil change seemed to inconvenient. Two weeks ago I brought my car to AAA in Frederick for an oil change. I started using them after I moved. After the oil change was completed the service representative came to tell me that they found a leak in my rack and pinion steering. They recommended that I replace the entire steering mechanism because it was a safety issue. The cost for labor and parts would be approximately $2600. I told them that I had not noticed any drip under my car. They said it was a slow leak and it was blowing back onto the undercarriage. My car is 8 years old and I was reluctant to spend that much money on a car that was only worth $8700. I called Precision and made an appointment for a week later to have them give me a second opinion. They put my car up on the rack and then Andy brought me into the shop to show me what was going on. He showed me the entire system and said he saw a small amount of fluid underneath but he didnt think it was significant enough to warrant doing anything more than keep an eye on it. So I am not going to do the costly repair, especially with AAA. Thanks Andy, for taking care of my car so well and for helping me avoid a huge expense. I think its worth it for me to bring the car back to you guys from now on!

Great thanks to Bud, Andy and Steve and even P.A.s driver, Ben, for all of their help in resolving what turned out to be a more complicated repair of my 2000 FORD Ranger than first thought. I first brought my truck in for repairs and to resolve the "check engine" light being on, as I was facing a VEIP deadline. They did a thorough review and provided me with a list of expected repairs, of which I approved. They have nice software too, providing detail and pictures in e-mail. After repairs were completed the "check engine" light came back on again a week later. Bud, Andy and Steve had the truck back in and completed some more detailed repairs. It was determined to be one of 2 problems, we tried their first suggestion and repairs were made with no cost to us. However, the light came back on again proving that the alternative diagnosis was the problem. At this point to avoid any further inconvenience to us Bud and Ben picked up the truck from our home to effect the final and successful repairs, again with no further costs to us. All told, my truck and I are happy motoring again and we passed the VEIP inspection. Special shout out to Maria in the office who kept up communications. Thanks to all and see you in 5,000 miles.
