MY EXPERIENCE GOING TO THIS PARTICULAR BARBER SHOP WAS HORRIFYING. FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN THE FRIENDLY FACE BARBERSHOP LOOKED FRIENDLY BUT IT REALLY WASNT AT ALL. THE RECEPTIONIST (MYA) HAD AN BAD ATTITUDE AS I SIGHNED IN FOR A HAIR CUT ( NOW AS A REASONABLE PERSON I UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYONE HAS BAD DAYS BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE TODAY ) NOW THE SHOPS POLICY IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE NO APPOINTMENTS.OK KNOWING THIS TO BE THE POLICY I SIGHNED IN TO WAIT MY TURN. SHE TOLD ME BEFORE I SAT DOWN I HAD 3 PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME. SO I SAT DOWN AND WAITED I SAW 4 PEOPLE GET THERE HAIR CUTS. 2 1/2 HOURS LATER FINALLY A BARBER WAS FREE BECAUSE I ASKED HIM I WANTED TO ASK THE RECEPTIONIST MY PLACE IN LINE, BUT HER ATTITUDE WAS SO BAD I WAS FEARFUL TO ASK. SHE SAW THAT I WAS TALKING TO THE BARBER AND TOLD THE BARBER TO SKIP ME AND TAKE THIS RANDOM PERSON WHO JUST WALKED IN ( HE DID NOT EVEN SIGN IN ) I KNOW THAT HE WAS RANDOM BECAUSE HE ASKED HER IF HE HAD TO SIGN IN SHE SAID NO AND SENT HIM OVER TO THE BARBER THAT WAS FREE THE SAME ONE I WAS TALKING TOO. THE BARBER DID NOT KNOW I WAS ON THE LIST AND TOOK HIM. WHAT WAS REALLY MESSED WAS SHE WAS TALKING WITH THE MANAGER WHILE SHE WAS DOING IT AND THEY BOTH LOOK AT ME AND SHE FROWNED AND THEN SMIRKED AT ME. DONT HAVE TIME FOR THE BULL S*** JUST WANTED A HAIRCUT AND GOOD SERVICE. I WILL NEVER COME BACK EVER. ( THE FRIENDLY FACE BARBER SHOP ON THE TOP FLOOR IN WHEATON MARYLAND WESTFIELD MALL).

Terrible shape-up I received. Way too expensive, they told me the shapeup was 15 and then charged 20. To be fair they did offer the correction on the price but I was too annoyed by the cut I let it go.The worse shapeup I have received. In fact I left wheaton mall and crossed the street to top barbers where the barber there fixed everything friendly faces messed up. I paid for two cuts that day but it was worth it as asking for the friendly barber guy to fix anything was impossible. He was offended everytime I asked for him to take it shorter or whatever . Top barbers cut hair much better. I dont regret paying for two cuts. Now I know where to go the first time. Avoid friendly faces unless you are short on time. They get a star because they always have spots open.

Customer service was terrible...my brother and I waited almost 45 minutes before he was in the barber chair. There were several barbers just sitting around doing nothing. Not one of them thought to come to the front and ask if we needed a haircut. I took my brother to ask what the hold up was and one if the barbers said that he took us that someone was available. That was a blatant lie and its safe to say we will not be going here again. Not all of the barbers give good haircuts. And they charge $24 for mediocre work. Ill be going to The Dashery down in D.C.

I hope Im not jinxing myself, but I always get the most talented barbers when I go in. Being a woman, my hair styles/preferences change often but the barbers here seem to be able to always give me exactly what I want. These last two times I went in for designs, not just any designs, these are pretty sophisticated and abstract. The location is so convenient, too, I couldnt ask for more. Love this place!

Sat through being disrespected and "side-ridiculed" by an employee(s) as my son was in Marks chair being cut. Ring leader had no nuts when I said something. He didnt seem to expect that I would stand up for myself. No genuine support for what was happening by our barber. My family had been going to the shop for over a year... No more of my hard earned money will be given to this establishment.

This place used to be my regular spot when Pat worked there. Went back after a couple of years at a new regular place and got the worst hair cut of my life. The barber took 40 min to give me barely a trim, and spent the whole time ordering a lackey to run and get him food to eat. Waste of time and money, and Ill need to get another hair cut within a week anyway. Wont go there again.

I went in for tendonitis in my wrist. I came out with pain in my forearm. The session was very painful. I honestly feel that the acupressureist was trying to injure me, or perhaps he didnt know what he was doing.

I love Friendly Faces for one and only one reason: Kenny. I dont know anything about cutting hair and all that but he gets me and always delivers an amazing job. Respectful, funny and really professional.
