Soooo, im reading the reviews and thinking Jeezhuhs! We in trouble... true to many of the reviews, the lines were long...starting at 9 AM! The staff is sassy - saying things like "I cant interpret that for you sir, you have to read it for yourself. The instructions are right here." Or "We all dark-skinned sir, you gonna have to describe her better." I was like "whomp whomp whooooomp... another debacle in the USPS Customer Service chronicles." BUT THEN, my phone died, and I actually started paying attention to the other patrons. The staff is not rude, just sassy... turns out the guy with the from was trying to get her to fill it out for him - she ended up pulling him to the side, whispering a few things to him and helping him out (he left his glasses and couldnt read the form - she read it to him, pointing out where he shluld write what). When the other customer with the impeccable total recall skills finally remembered why he came so early, the postal worker identified person in question and was able to get her. Yes, they prolly could put up more signs about where not to park, or that if you only need to drop off a package, come up to the front, but they are aware of the environment and adjust as necessary ( e.g. opening up a new line when the line was long). When i did get up there to send my pkg to China, Ms. Jackson was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and quick! Much faster than my other experiences with commercial carriers. I recommend them, and i would go there again.

Oh this place sucks. Package will say its delivered at your front door....I go down 4 mins after they claimed to have delivered it, and I see nothing. I actually go outside to look around and nothing. This has happened too many times! They will misdeliver your package and of course your neighbor wont bring the package to you out of the kindness of their heart .... they will just keep it. I have gone up to this post office to speak to the person who delivers my packages. She arrives with an attitude claiming she delivered my package already. She said a man answered my door and took the package but since no MEN live in my house then she delivered it to the wrong house. How about you look at the package to confirm your at the right house then??? Common sense. I spoke to her supervisor personally (took him like 30 mins to get to the window) and he doesnt tell me anything a customer wants to hear. Basically telling me to give her a break. Your employee just said she delievered my package to the wrong house and Im suppose to give her a break? And she gave me attitude? He needs to be fired along with her.

At this point, I hate the post office so much that if Fedex and UPS were required to kick me in the nuts whenever they delivered my packages, I would still choose their service over USPS every time. About 4 days out of the week, my carrier is great. But I can tell when somebody else is on the clock. Packages are either constantly late, go missing, or are mis-delivered and the most theyll do to recover it will be to leave a notice that basically reads "hey we probably dropped off something very valuable here that we werent supposed to. Mind giving that back?" Its a huge pain in the ass and people dont have time to keep looking out for their carrier, just to make sure theyre doing their jobs right. The postal office itself is hardly any better. Parking is extremely scarce and the neighboring businesses will not allow you to park there. You WILL get towed. If you can manage getting through the poorly air conditioned waiting area, youll get hit with an expensive charge to ship. Do yourself a favor. Go online, print your shipping label and just drop it off at the front.

Never leaves notices on the doors about missed packages although it says so in your email notifications. You show up the next day because the message specifically says either schedule a redelivery or go to the post office and pick it up. But when you get there the package is out for redelivery. There is no new update because it was never actually redelivered. Who knows where your package is when 2 day shipping was selected and paid for. So either your package is lost somewhere or the person at the front desk was too lazy to look for it in the 12 different places they sprawl peoples packages everywhere.

Minimal delivery services, went to pick up my mail and Im still waiting in line. Just got called out of line for p/u only and we have to wait on a supervisor. Now were being told all the carriers are out and theres nothing they will do for us (of course no supervisor appeared). The saga continues. After waiting 10 more minutes a supervisor finally appeared. I explained the package I was waiting for is time sensitive, yet I was told the same "the carriers out with ALL the mail now and if I dont receive package today there will be delivery service on Sunday." We will see.

I couldnt give it 0 stars but I wish I could. Why are these people so angry and rude, WHY?? It makes no sense. I tried to take a box in to mail to OK. I simply asked for some tape and was treated like I ask for them to produce a diamond from their butt cheeks. You cant even get stamps, or ask them for your parcel without a lot of attitude, rolling eyes, heavy sighs and indistinct mumbling. UGH. I go out of my way to go all the way to the post office in Brentwood just to avoid having to deal with these lazy, rude, hostile people. You should also.

Worst post office I have ever dealt with, constantly losing our packages or dropping them at the wrong houses and we never get them back. Their customer service is horrible and rude, acting as if I am wasting their time when its their job. After we filed a change of address they ignored it and took our packages to the incorrect address and we cannot get them because the people are claiming they were never dropped off there. If suit land would have paid attention to their system saying the address then they wouldnt be such a horrible place.

Long lines, poor parking, Ive had so many packages lost through this post office or delivered to the wrong address, when you call for help the phone just rings and rings, and on top of all of that...I paid extra for a scheduled pick up at a specific time and lo and behold no one showed up. I remember when I got notice in the mail that they were going to close this post office and I voted against it. Now Im not sure if it mattered to keep it open with this poor quality of service.

Worst System ever. I have not received my mail since the beginning of March only to find out that BOTH change of address cards I submitted were never put into the system. Now no one knows where my mail is.....I called 1-800-ASK-USPS for an investigation and have heard NOTHING to date. The Supervisor at Suitland is the worst in giving information or TRYING to come up with a solution. I JUST WANT MY MAIL; AND NO IT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED TO SENDER.
