I wish I had the words to describe this post office. Im pretty sure that the first requirement on any job application to work there is that you check the box for Highly Incompetent. Last week, my mail carrier Ryan lost one of my packages. When I called this post office, I was told that he specifically remembered putting it in my mailbox. But he delivers my mail at noon, and he didnt scan this package as delivered until 5pm. Im pretty sure he had finished his route by then. Then the man I was speaking to hung up on me while I was talking. I went to the post office where the excuse given was, "He said he doesnt know....maybe he put it in the wrong box. Sorry." Yesterday, I had another package that was scheduled to be delivered. I called the post office and told them I wanted to pick it up, but they put it on the truck to be delivered. Apparently a new girl had just been hired and my route was her guinea pig. She didnt deliver the package. I went to the post office again. This time, the supervisor working was helpful, and he did call me at 5pm to let me know she just didnt deliver it and it was still on the truck. Day one was clearly a success for her. He told me he would put it on a shelf for me to pick up today. So I went back today. A different woman was working the parcel pickup window. She just could not find my package anywhere. I tried to explain my situation, but she kept walking to the back instead of listening to what I was saying. She spoke to Ryan who swore he had delivered everything to me, even though I tried to explain to her numerous times that another woman delivered my route yesterday and seemed to only deliver part of the mail. Luckily, another woman came back and found my package sitting on a shelf after I demanded to speak with the supervisor from yesterday. Oh and while I was waiting, another man was looking for a package that they had lost as well. Losing one package is a fluke. Lying about delivering it on time when your scan says otherwise, hanging up on me, telling me it was probably delivered to someone else and theres nothing they can do, not delivering ALL the mail in your truck, and then not listening to customers when they try to explain what happened is INEXCUSABLE. They all look at me as though they cant understand why I am angry when I keep having to go in and try to track down everything they have lost. I also want to reiterate that all of these occurrences happened within ONE WEEK. The people working the counter are also rude. One man was trying to explain what he needed shipped, and I literally heard the woman cut him off and say "I cant help you" while he was speaking. He FINALLY got her to understand what he needed. I really hate that this post office delivers my mail, but I will drive across town to mail anything personally.

We just moved to the area, off of John Tyler Hwy and it seems that we have had the same unfortunate experience of being in a nice area with the unexpected surprise of extremely poor postal service. I almost want to purchase a P.O. Box at another nearby post office just to ensure that I get my packages and my mail. My mother has sent me two separate packages and both were delivered to a neighbor, who was kind enough to bring them to us...along with other pieces of our mail that they gave them both times. Ive also been waiting on important documents that were sent out 2.5 weeks ago and now I will miss my cutoff date to register for my next semester for college (need these documents) due to the lack of dependability of my new post office. Not to mention that my husband put a bill in our mailbox to be mailed with the flag up on Wednesday night. I went out Thursday evening because I noticed that our flag was still up and there it was. We never got our mail that day and the bill was still in the box. I tried to call them and I just get a busy signal. Clearly they have the phone off the hook and I need to come in and try to reason with those who have no common sense. Can I please stop paying the "postal" portion of my taxes and use the money to get a PO Box elsewhere?!

Their phone number doesnt work. It will just ring and ring and ring but when you try to call them back, it wont let the call connect and will just hang up on you like its disconneced. Sometimes the people there are ok, other times they are rude and ignorant and ton let you get a word in edge wise. If they try to deliver a package and youre not home or cant answer on the first try(Im dosabled and it can sometimes take me a while to answer the door) then they will never try to deliver that package again. They will just keep it at their post office until you miraculoysly can get up there during their ridiculous hours of operation. I HATE the USPS, and its because if crap like that.

Incompetent and disappointing service. This post office has lost two (on separate occasions) of my packages over the last two years. Both after leaving the post office were scanned as on route to delivery to my house, but never scanned when they arrived (if they ever did), and I never received my packages. They give USPS a bad image and sometimes I wonder if they lost the packages or kept them for themselves. Not only that but it is extremely difficult to get a hold of them on the phone I always had to drive up there to talk with them. When shopping online I pick anything but USPS.

The phone number listed here always seems to be busy. I have sat in the parking lot with two other cars and called the number and its still busy... The folks at the counter at times can be a little short with you when asking questions but they tend to get things done and know a lot about what your doing. As far as my mail carrier, my normal one is great, but when ever he is off my mail is always super late and no one person leaves it in the same spot... which is hard to wrap my head around seeings how my office has a mailbox that is labeled on the inside of the box as OFFICE.

I have been to this PO three times, returning mail that is supposed to be delivered to friends who are away for the summer. The PO has their forwarding address. I check the house and find mail in their box. The PO cannot get it right. I wait at the counter for a supervisor for a long time, then tell him/her that the items I hand to them need to be forwarded as per the request of the homeowners. "Well take care of it," I have been told three times. Hah! Fat chance.

Its on the William Mary campus. Its been mostly good but its the bad experiences that make me dislike this post office. I went to pick up a book that had been delivered over a week ago which I somehow did not pick up earlier with several packages earlier that week. I was accused of having already picked up the package and then told it was lost and I would have to be reimbursed. Really, is it that hard to keep track of packages?
