This really happened: Arrived on time for a scheduled passport appt for my husband and daughter. After 10 minutes we were acknowledged with a "What are you here for?" as we were standing at the Passport window. My husband told the woman that we had a 3:00 appt. She asked if we had brought our photos to which I replied that I was told when making the appt that pictures would be taken on site. She huffed and told us to "go wait by the chair" and walked away. After about 15 minutes a different woman came out with a camera and instructed my 2 year old daughter to stand up on the chair. A few more minutes go by as Im watching her try to take a picture. She had no idea how to work the camera and told me that it was broken when i could clearly see that she didnt know how to zoom in. She leaves to find someone that can "fix" the camera. 22 minutes later a different woman comes out, takes the pictures without a problem, and lets us know shell be right with us. 13 minutes later I walk up to the window to over hear her telling two other employees that the pictures werent printing out. The manager shrugged his shoulders and instructed her to tell the customers that "It aint working so they cant get their pictures." Then he rambled on about how long it would take to order a new usb cable for the printer. The woman couldnt even look me in the face when she told me to go some where else for photos, bring them back, after making another appt, and then they could process the passports. After I said that we would just go to a different Post Office a man standing behind her raised his voice saying "Ok, then go!" Commencing Rant: Are you friggin kidding me!?! I wont get into how frustrating it is to keep a 2 year old calm and quiet for an hour of nothing to do or the smell of an old sweaty man standing so close I could see his nose hairs go in and out of his nostrils with every breath. Im usually a very tolerant person and can navigate through unpleasant situations with no stress. But this was one of the most unprofessional experiences Ive ever had. The truth is that I totally understand equipment malfunctions... stuff happens, but I wouldnt even be writing this if someone.. anyone, would have at least been courteous enough to say something like "Sorry for your inconvenience." or "Can we reschedule your appt as we order a new cable?" Just an ounce of kindness would have made a difference. No way Ill ever step foot in that place again. When I got my passport it was less then 5 minutes at the Clarksville location which unfortunately has been closed down. I now have a full grasp of the term "going postal."

I rarely give things an "I hated it" 1-star review. The pity is that this USED TO BE a very good post office. Now, though, lines are long, workers are defensive and disgruntled and dismissive of customers, and management seems chaotic (or barely existent). Calling is completely useless. These guys sent all of our mail back to sender when it piled up in the box and got sent to the post office by our carrier. The carrier never left us a notice (typical). I went to the post office anyway, but they "couldnt find the mail." In fact, the mail WAS there when I went, but the worker made only the smallest effort to try to find it. After it became clear that all the mail was returned to sender (including our IRS refund!), we were then told that we had to speak to the manager to get mail re-established. We tried calling four or five times, but the manager only works between 10am and 2pm (and cannot be left a phone message or reached by email). Pretty good for a GS-14 or 15 job, eh? My husband had to take time off work to hunt the guy down, only to find out that we didnt, in fact, have to do anything for mail to get re-established. Once we picked the mail up, it was automatically re-established. Completely assinine. Last time I called (a week or so ago), I got patched over to the manager because I was trying to find a package and was having (yet again) problems with my carrier. This seemed like a new manager b/c (a) he was actually there and (b) he was meeting with our useless carrier that day to go over various complaints. So, maybe the situation will improve. Id recommend the Wincopin office, but one of the two fantastic employees there has left and the other is overwhelmed with no replacement for her buddy in sight. I suppose that office was working too well. Between our carrier and the Oak Hall office (which is where our packages and mail go if theyre not left here-- and were told they cant leave packages, though randomly they will), its gotten so bad that we now have a box at the UPS store on Centre Park Dr. The young men that work there are great and one of the women is really good. Theres another women that has an attitude mixed around a wide load of incompetence. Overall, though, Id give the UPS store four stars and tend to use it whenever I can to avoid Oak Hall!!

Not really sure why Google is displaying 5 stars like this place is even mediocre. The service you get here is actually garbage. Read the other reviews and youll see why. Id give this place a 0 if I could. I had a package delivered from Korea which was delivered to the wrong address on 6/22 and to this day, I know just as much as I did on 6/22. I called the office multiple times with about a 50% of actually receiving an answer. When I did receive an answer, I was told that only the manager, Denise, could help me with this issue. On numerous occasions, the reps told me that only Denise could help me, and that she currently was not in the office. On numerous occasions, I was told she was either in a meeting, or they would transfer me to her phone, which would just keep ringing with no answer. The reps told me to give them all my information (callback #, tracking #, etc) so that they could get it to Denise. At long last, I finally managed to get a hold of the manager, Denise, on 7/10. When asked if she had been notified at all, she said no. She asked me why no one else had helped me, and I told her what all the other reps had said to which she word for word responded "They lied." Turns out, she was on vacation, so either there was zero communication to some of the reps that she would be on vacation, or they knowingly made me wait for a phone that no one would pick up. The manager told me I could expect a callback by 3pm. I am now writing this on 7/19 without a single response, and zero progress on my package. Im honestly close to just giving up on the package. Its actually unbelievable how terrible this place is. Pray to God that you never have a situation where you have to deal with this place. Its a nightmare.

I got a package from EyeBuyDirect 12 days ago which is sitting at the OakHall PostOffice in Columbia. Atleast the tracking number says so. When I called, someone at the post office put me on hold from 4 pm until 6 pm (Jul 08) so that I can talk to the supervisor Elizabeth Brodnax. I waited for over 2 hours and I hung up around 6:15 pm! A complaint to USPS customer service meant I got a call back which said they spoke to the Manager and the manager spoke to the mail-man and the mail-man couldnt recall an item for my house.. Like he knows me and the packages that came to my house 12 days ago?! BS. There is no mention as to why the hell the tracking number says the package moved through their system and says even as of now that the package was out for delivery on June 28?! And today is July 9th. The customer service solution is to dispute it with merchant as they never got the package at the post office! But what about the fn tracking number? Can anyone be intelligent enough to explain if a shipping label moved through the system without it being attached to a package?! And it is true that they come to your door to deliver a package that requires signature confirmation. They will leave a receipt that we missed you and you have to stand in line to get a package. They get paid tons for a job that requires minimal qualifications, and the job is to deliver the package. And even there they want to take shortcuts! Talk about being professional... Id be happy when the day comes that this tax payer funded welfare service goes down. 99% of the postal workers think that they are privileged and everyone is at their mercy (incompetence!?)
