I will advise all to not go here. Let me share my experience with these guys as a lawsuit is being prepared. I have an 07 Nissan 350z and I was having rims switched out with some custom marble rims that were done by another company. During this experience they had a young guys use an impact wrench to remove and replace the lug nuts. As any experienced mechanic would know that you have to use a torque wrench on these aluminum locks I had. Well the impact wrench stripped almost all the nuts and even seized one nut on the front left tire assembly and on the spacer. After sitting there for an hour watching this individual use a chisel and hammer and drill and utterly destroy the spacer and wheel stud the young man said he had an appointment in Virginia and that he would be back in 30-45min to finish getting it off and this was at 4pm on a friday afternoon. If you have lived in the area everyone knows you will not make it from Waldorf, MD to Springfield, VA and back in 45min. So I had to call a couple friends at another company to close down their work to come over and help me because these people had no mechanics available and my car sat on a lift with one tire on and me with no experience on freeing a seized nut on a wheel stud. Well the owners uncle had the nerve to argue with me and tell me it wasnt their fault and that he had a date with his wife to close up their shop and use watever tools to get the seized nut off. My buddies Sean and Jeff worked until 730pm when they finally freed the spacer and nut by cutting it off and that is when the worker arrived and was like "sorry I hit traffic..oh you guys are done?" Well to finish up this story... They made me pay full price and they told me to make up for it they would replace the spacers that were ruined and the wheel stud. This happened almost 5 months ago and I still have no new spacers and my car is still on 4 out of 5 studs for my front left tire. Worst company ever and they had the nerve to leave their customer there and tell them to fix there problem and i could use any tool. Never happened to me before. Everytime I tried to contact them the owner was always busy or not in and then I deployed overseas. So best believe when I get back I will be visiting them with my lawyer.

I am the owner of a 2003 BMW 530i. The original wheels began to develop air pockets in the clear coat which then started to eat away and destroy my wheels. The first shop that I went to appeared to be impressive with their matching company t-shirts, fancy garage and Ipad presentation,,,,,but they couldnt even determine if my wheels were 1 piece or 2 piece rims. They wanted to charge me to find out and then said that they could even damage my rims in the process.....this was something they just wanted me to understand. After I phoned Shawn at Sharper Image and sent him a photo of my wheels, he was instantly able to tell me that they were 2 piece and assured me of his experience working with this type of wheel. I can be a very picky customer, and I left my car with Shawn on a Thursday with very specific instructions. My car was kept indoors as requested, my terribly eaten away rims were restored to NEW, my bent wheel was straightened to perfection, my 2 piece rims were painted EXACTLY the way I asked, Shawn and his staff were all very very professional. Sharper Image knows how to treat their customers and the price for the work COULD NOT BE BEAT! Again I say, I can sometimes be a very tough consumer to please, but my experience here was nothing short of GREAT! I would highly recommend Sharper Image. I picked my car up clean as a whistle and looking like new money!!!!

Terrible! Unprofessional shop, tools and staff. I had them pick up my wheels for straightening and reconditioning and they somehow ended up worse than before. The wheels that they insisted were straight still had the bend that was visible from 10 feet away. I specifically asked 3 times before they picked up the wheels if they would be able to match the original finish on the wheels and they guaranteed they could. Well, they ended up just spraying them all a completely different color, they couldnt have been farther off. The managers response was "thats a hard finish to match". In addition, all the wheels had fresh deep scratch marks all over them. They blamed it on the machine they use to mount the tires to the wheels and said they cannot prevent that from happening...wow. Its hard to find a good wheel recon shop around here, but you are better off with whatever shape your wheels are in now.

After taking damage to a tire and rim at highway speed on Friday night, I was able to find this shop online Sat AM, and Lauren was extremely helpful in the office, offering to help find a temp tire while I ordered the matching tire to my set. The shop is a bit hard to find if you are going there, but again they were very helpful and fair with the pricing, as they conducted the repair as I waited. It looks fantastic (no visible damage and matched the rim paint quite well), and again I felt it was quite a fair price for the time it took to repair and make it look right. Ill be back to have them touch up my curb scratches.

Despite the fact that I was a little apprehensive about how messy this shop appeared inside and out (and about some of the questionable reviews on here), these guys straightened two very bent wheels I brought them, with 1 day turnaround, and the finished result is very acceptable. They were able to get 2 VERY bent wheels under .040" total runout, and these wheels were basically octagons when I brought them in, with many bends around each wheel lip. The staff members were very friendly to deal with. I will use this shop again for wheel repair, they know what they are doing.

I scratched, or more like scraped really, two alloy rims on my car and took my car here for repair. I brought it in in the morning and had my car back later that afternoon. They did a great job at repairing all of the scratches and you couldnt even tell that it had gotten into a fight with the curb. The best part is that they even detailed the outside of my car for free! I will definitely be coming back here and Ive already recommended them to some friends.

Ive been dealing with sharper image for few years now. Between custom work and repairs on my wheels i couldnt of asked 4 better experience. They treat me like family and they treat my car like its their own. They have a customer 4 life!!
