Working with Shani McKay was extremely refreshing. Total pleasure to work with. She is the total opposite of a pushy agent who is just trying to pocket commissions. Rather, Shani was a natural who did not pressure us at all to make any commitments. She was happy to show us apartment after apartment as if she was a friend trying to help us find a place we were really in to. No gimmicky sales tactics at all. She didnt shove her agenda into the discussion. I valued her honest input. Very genuine person, great vibes. Her communication was A+++. She was always available for a call/email/text. She got back to us right away to answer all our questions. Very flexible, worked with our payment schedule even if it wasnt ideal for her. What really proves that she cares about client satisfaction is that even after she was paid, she was still very helpful & responsive. Many agents will disappear after they get their commission. Shani, on the other hand, reached out to me to ensure we were happy with the place after we moved in (which we are, I love my new place). One night, I accidentally locked myself out of the apartment. I texted Shani for advice and she helped me out with instructions for finding our spare key (Life Saver!!) Shani goes above and beyond, and if/when I need the help of an agent in the future, I wont think twice. I will call Shani right away. If you are looking for a genuine, helpful agent, Shani is your girl :-)

After having a horrible experience finding a new home when I moved to Boston last year, it was such a relief meeting Christiajana Wohland from NextGen Realty. After asking me some questions to get a better feel for my personality and needs, Christiajana helped me find the perfect apartment in the North End that was everything I had hoped for and more (not to mention it was even listed below my budget!). Not only did she help me find the unit but she even helped when it came to finding our other roommate. Additionally, Christiajana was really flexible and convenient when it came to signing papers (my cosigner lives overseas so obviously that created a delay in the process which she was really understanding about) and she kept a very honest and open dialogue with me throughout the process- beginning when we were looking at apartments to finding roommates and finally to signing the papers. I loved that Christiajana, along with her colleagues at NextGen, werent pushy like my last broker and, instead, they really put effort into making the apartment hunt a pleasurable experience. I would 100% recommend NextGen Realty and especially Christiajana Wohland if youre looking for an agent who actually cares about you and your needs during the process rather than just making money.

I had never worked with a broker before in securing an apartment but I am very grateful that I did. I moved to the Boston area from San Francisco and was living in Maine while working in Boston, so finding time to look for apartments, let alone go see them, fill out applications and do paper work and credit checks was not something I could do very easily. Matthew Nasif was incredibly helpful. When things did not work out the first time with some of my paper work he proposed another idea, and when that fell a bit short he had yet another idea. Later that week he sent me a picture he had taken of my stamped lease and the keys to my new apartment. It was a very happy moment. This was the only apartment that I really liked, it is very nice, and the only one I actually went after and despite the numerous setbacks he continued putting effort into making this work for me and in the end it paid off. Had it not been for Matthew Nasif, I would not have the apartment I do right now and Id still be doing a 6 hour round trip commute from Maine every day to go to work. I also wouldnt be living close to the wonderful girl I am dating here in Boston, so she is very grateful as well. Ask for him specifically, he negotiated a great deal for me to move in and got me the place I wanted!

I had the pleasure of working with Motaz Hadaya, an agent with Nextgen Realty. He was the best agent I have worked for thus far while living in Boston. He is extremely quick with communication, hes up-front, practical, and honest about the rental process, and he consistently went beyond what I had expected from an agent in such a frantic market. Even after we had signed the lease, he continued to do things like try to get the landlord to install a washer and dryer for us, which to me was beyond expectations. He also could have easily thought the job done after receiving all the relevant fees for his services, but he continued to get back to me quickly with questions I had later on. Another thing that I really appreciated was that he was always on top of the specific details about my search. Ive worked with other agents who were probably swamped with clients during the busy seasons of the Boston real estate market, and I found that I had to keep explaining my needs and circumstances to them. Motaz, however was consistently attentive to my needs as a tenant throughout our time working together. I would highly recommend him as an agent. I really am so impressed!

I have come to Boston from London UK to help my son renting a place for next academic year. I had some specific requirements and certain price range in mind. Luckily I have happened to contact NextGen realtor Felicia Hayes before I came. She has found a number of options for me and was with me right from the start kindly taking me to see the options and has helped me to find what I was looking for. The whole process of paperwork was smooth and easy, Felicia was ready to answer every question I had and made some valuable comments and suggestions easing my anxiety and worries. Felicia was accessible by phone and email at all times, she works around her clients schedule making meetings when it suited me. I am going back to UK feeling happy that with Felicias great help my trip to Boston was successful - I have completed my task and my son will be living comfortably and happily next year. My whole experience with NextGen Realty was very pleasant, I know that Felicia s colleagues are ready to help in every way they can as well. Thank you very much, I hope for long term sincere relationship with this company in general and with Felicia in particular!

Let me clarify my rating: 1 star for the fee, 5 stars for Aleksandra. I recently employed Ms. Aleksandra Frasheri of NexGen Realty to help me find an apartment in Boston. She was really the only person who was willing to spend time helping me from a distance, since I was relocating from South Dakota. She went out of her way to help me, giving tours in the evening in person, even then showing me other places via FaceTime when I wasnt physically in the Boston area. She was a delightful, professional, personable, and competent rental agent, and I appreciated working with her, and for all the effort she put in. That said, I think paying a months rent to have an agent perform this service is a bit excessive. I tried to get some of it back for writing this review, but she wasnt buying it, proving that she was either very ethical or just unwilling to rebate any of the fee (or both). Now that I am in the area, I know that there are many property managers who will rent directly, including most apartment complexes and management companies, such as Newman Properties, and, now that I know this, Ill deal directly with them next time.
