I read so many great reviews and was very excited to experience Yella. I emailed Amy Clinard to reserve a table for a Tuesday night. When we arrived they had our table ready with no wait. I ordered the sangria which was tasty, hints of cinnamon and mint. The water they served was lukewarm, not so good but nothing is perfect, right? We ordered the crab cakes but they arrived burnt on the outside and watery on the inside. I was hoping it was a mistake and that it would correct itself with our entrees. My wife ordered the chicken which arrived in just a few minutes, hmm... It was very dry and the sides of potatoes were burnt, served at room temp. I ordered the Kibbeh which was over salted and the lamb was over cooked and dry. I wrote Amy about our experience and she offered us a $25 Gift Certificate to try Yella again. Did I mention the fly in the dining room? We decided that it would be best for us to spend our time at a quality restaurant rather than try Yella again. I hope this review offers new customers a better experience.

I had an absolutely perfect time here. Came in for a family dinner, so having a kids menu was a good start. The menu is very diverse and is a modern Mediterranean. We shared some appetizers that included a salad, grilled octopus, the Hummus Warma, and Lamb Sliders. All of these were spot on high quality. We actually had a second Hummus Warma. For main course I had the Lamb Papardelle and it was no less than on of the best Papardelle dishes I have ever had. And I had a lot. I also tried the steak which was ordered also and the sea food dish. Absolutely everything was amazing, even the side dishes of French fries and risotto with truffles. For dessert we had the vanilla ice cream and pana cota. Again, amazing stuff. Service was quick and friendly and consistent. If I could give 6 stars I would gladly do so.

A very tasty Mediterranean restaurant with good service. The food might not be entirely authentic to picky tongues, and is on the pricier side, but for being a tiny establishment in a small town its delicious. This is a great place to go for special occasions or just a nice dinner. The waiters were quick to serve us and very friendly; my only complaint would be the size of the restaurant itself. With just a few tables, and even those crowded close together, its sometimes a challenge for the waiters (let alone the customers) to navigate without bumping someone or spilling something. If youre not in a large group or at peak hours however, youll find a splendid high-end dinner waiting for you.

On any given night I would rate Yella a 3 star experience but the food, although overall fairly tasty is inconsistent from dish to dish. I do like the Falafel but the Tabbouleh is heavy on chopped tomato and oily. Flat breads are creative but too cheesy. Most entrees are tasty but if you are looking for traditional Middle Eastern fare it is masked with eclectic culinary influence. Dining room is tiny, busy and very loud on Sat nights so better to visit during the week. Overall a good spot to eat at for Andover but not one I would frequent often due to above stated and pricey menu.

Been here a few times. Quite pricey, but the food is generally great. Once I had the Med Chicken and it was outstanding, another time it was dry and tough. Like to think that was an exception. But it was still covered in a tasty balsamic reduction. Sides are expensive. They serve you a little bowl of complementary hummus dip with chips when you first sit down, but I always want more. The wine is has been carefully selected to provide you with a good compliment with your meal.

The atmosphere is nice, intimate, table server was good. But the food! The dressing on Fatoush salad and tabooli tasted heavy and dark, as if the lemon was done with bottled juice. The meat pies were hard and crisp on the outside, non-traditional, and the filling, although tasty, was also non-traditional. When I bit into one, oil from inside it flowed down my shirt. Definitely on our list of places to avoid.

An very nice dinning experience at Yella. Food and service were both excellent. Called for reservations at 5:00pm, but all booked. They had a cancellation and called back at 6:00 to offer us a 7:30 reservation. How often does that happen? Best table in the house. Owner came out and chatted. We look forward to going back!

Lovely spot hidden away on a ßide Street off Main .... I was surprised to find it not crowded whereas La Rosas a block away had a line .... dine AL fresco or elegantly inside ... unpretentious and well prepared delicious food ... I had the truffled wild mushroom and spinach pappardelle ... absolutely delightful ....

The entire place is the size of a small living room, service is slow and people are banging into you the entire meal because of the tight small quarters. Staff isnt on the ball, expect to wait for anything you request. There are better bets out there for a special night out.

Ive been here twice. The first time everything was impressive, the second time I got a salad that was mostly iceberg and lackluster. The zatar chips are really where its at. If you come here, order more substantial meaty protein dishes and obviously the zatar chips.

My friends, I recently visited Yella, for the second time, and it was, again, amazingly good. Once again, the food, atmosphere, and service were all wonderful. I strongly recommend it as a great restaurant. Jay

The food was below mediocre at this place the service was the best part. If youve never eaten at a Greek/ Mediterranean place you may think this place is good.

Best Falafel in 20 miles. Owners are really nice. Parking was a bummer until I found the alley that goes to the public lot.
