Everytime I go to Pure, Im confident that my hair will look fabulous. How many other salons can you say that about? Ive been a customer of Jenny for over three years, and the service has been amazing. Im not the most directive client ("Um...can you make it pretty? Whatever you think would look good"), but Jenny always knows how to cut and highlight my hair so that I leave feeling like a bombshell. The prices are are a bargain for her level of expertise. I lived in London for 18 months, but I would only cut my hair with Jenny when I was visiting Boston. 4 months after a cut, I would still receive compliments on my hair. I also must mention Id contact the salon a few days before I wanted to come in, and Jenny would always find the time to fit me in. Now that Im back on this side of the pond, my hair continues to constantly impress, and I always share my secret.

I started seeing Frank for my hair about 6 years ago and followed him to Pure when he switched companies. He does exactly what I want when I ask for something and he comes up with something awesome if I tell him to do whatever he wants. His color ideas are especially fantastic and I always leave feeling excited about my new look. Im the type of person who gets bored with having the same thing over and over and I dont always know what I want - Frank is perfect for me because he just gets it. I have since moved across the country, but I still make it a priority to make an appointment with him when I come back to visit my family. I have been happy with other hairdressers before, but its tough to find someone on the same level as Frank. If youre looking for fun or youre indecisive about what you want, hell know what to do.

Jenny has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost three years now and she is wonderful! She is very professional and personable. I am very particular about my hair and Jenny always gives me what I want, makes great suggestions and tips, and knows a lot about styling, products, and the science behind hair coloring products. She also knows what colors work well with your skin color and will be the most flattering. They use Goldwell, one of the best color products Ive ever had used to color my hair. The salon has a great decor and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. All of the stylist their are great and each visit to Pure Hair Design is a lot of fun because everyone is really friendly. I wouldnt go to any other salon in Boston. I highly recommend Jenny and this salon!

Frank has been cutting my hair for years and I wouldnt trust anyone else with my locks. Frank never ceases to amaze me with his (apparently limitless) talent. I trust him 100% with my hair and with every visit give him free rein to do what he wants to my tresses. He has an artistic eye that is evident in the meticulous degree of skilled cutting and hair-styling he exhibits with every cut, color, and blow-dry. Whether youre looking for an edgy, "look at me" do or a more tame, classic cut, Frank is your man. This guy has the Midas touch---after hes worked his magic, your hair will transcend reality. Hes really that awesome!!

Very cool, hip atmosphere. Easy to book an appointment online. If you have curly hair, you NEED to see Derek!!! He is a godsend! He listens to what youre looking for, what youre currently unhappy about with your hair, and will work with you to get the look you want. They also stock DevaCurl products, which is nice. The staff is friendly and the place isnt too far of a walk from the Orange Line, but there are buses you can take from the Tufts Medical T stop to get you closer. I havent been here for just a trim or anything like that, but if youre looking for stylists and people who know what theyre doing with hair, go to Pure!

I went to pure hair design because I heard really fabulous things, however I left pure hair design with possibly the worst haircut and highlights I have EVER and I mean EVER had. They staff was incompetent and flat out rude. Not only did I receive a haircut I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy it took 3 hours to get. This salon should be condemned, left with an extremely low self esteem and the prices were awful too. Save your money and let your child cut your hair, it would probably turn out better than visiting pure hair design. They should change their name to purely awful.

Jenny is the BEST! I have been a loyal client of Jennys for over 5 years. When I 1st started seeing her I have virgin hair and I was scared that I would end up with a stripped head of highlights. I researched my new city and found the article in Allure talkin about Jenny and Pure Hair. Allure has never steered me wrong. Jenny is amazing and makes my hair look so natural and beautiful. Since my 1st few years with her, Ive moved all over the country and when Im in town and I try to see her, she always makes time for me. She is the best, I love her and the girl can do hair!! <3

April is my stylist and she is AMAZING!! Everytime I go there I just tell her to do whatever and I ALWAYS walk out loving my new hairstyle!! She knows exactly what do to! The salon is so nice as well...everyone is so friendly and you feel like you get to know all of the other stylists too. It is a whole experience. The parking is easy, they even have wine, great magazines...and the place has beautiful always changing artwork which is really neat as well. I HIGHLY recommend the salon and cant wait to go back and get my hair done again!!!

After years of being a salon commitment-phobe Ive found a happy home at Pure. Ive been going to Jenny for cuts and highlights for years now. She does a consistently amazing job on both fronts -- even when I bring her crazy pictures she can replicate them beautifully and customize for my face and coloring. Not only does she do a fantastic job, but I love chatting with her! The new salon is a nice upgrade; airy, soothing and immaculate. 5 stars all around from me -- Ive referred all my friends and they love Pure too!

I have been a client of Jenny at Pure Hair for a number of years. Recently she highlighted and cut my hair the day before my daughters baptism and I was so excited about all of the compliments I received. I had been feeling like a frumpy, sleep deprived mom and she really helped me feel better. The color was fabulous and lightened my hair and my mood. She is particularly great at helping me make a change but staying in my comfort zone. I am looking forward to scheduling my daughters first hair cut with her one day.

Jenny and Apryl are not stylists, they are artists, and pure hair gods to the highest degree! I have not ever had any other salon that was able to create a more natural hair color then Jenny at Pure Hair! I will definitely recommend then to my friends and family. You have to check out their weekly specials as well. I am a girl who definitely likes to find a great deal, yet still receive quality at the same time! I am their biggest fan, and would not go anywhere but Pure Hair for my families needs.
