I have been to many salons around the Boston area - Studio 27 is a cute salon with a comforting atmosphere. I typically go for a wash and press, I have had consistent results each time (I value a good press since I have been chemical free for 8 years now) I have been going for over a year now. I was initially worried about the location since it can be quite busy, but I have braved down there in rush hour traffic after work to see Blessing, my hair always is grateful for it. A pet peeve of mine has been time at other salons, sometimes I would just block out half my day for my hair, not at Studio 27, I am in and out (Im sure this depends on what you get done and quantity of hair). Another thing I personally love is there is an app for the salon, so I can book it, save it to my calendar, and when I go in my card is saved so thats another convenience for me - no more runs to an ATM or waiting in a line to pay for me! I could go on and on but youll have to check out Studio 27 for yourself!

I know when men are searching for a place to get a great haircut they wouldnt think of STUDIO 27 because we specialize in ethnic hair care but Leno our master cutter is really something special. I am the owner writing this review but I just have to tell you about my experience from a clients point of view. I can truly say Ive never received so many compliments each and every-time I leave his chair. The precision cutting, the way he styles my hair and of course the tea tree treatment. The invigorating feel of the tree tree and scalp massage nearly puts me to sleep but the best part is the confidence I have with my fresh new look. He always puts a smile on my face when he says check yourself out "Now you look like a movie star!" I then take one last look in the mirror and say to myself "Thats what Im talking about!" I asked to get my hair done by one specific person but someone else did my hair. Blessing was obviously available yet told another stylist to do my hair. That was a bit rude.The owner Sean did tell me that he would note it for my next appointment if i ever book one again. My hair came out "ok". It wasnt as blown dried straight as i wanted it. The lady didnt use the correct brush. luckily i had another hair appointment the next day with a different salon; I would have screamed if i didnt.

Super clean place, comfy couch and a big tv to keep me occupied (i was very early), water was easily available and offered to me within a minute or two upon entering, everyone was friendly and professional. Leno took care my hair and it was the best cut i have ever recieved! I am from western MA and always to go to salons for my haircuts, this one takes first place by a mile. Will be going here as often as needed! I recommended you do as well!!

Blessing has been my hairdresser for more than 10 years now and I have always been happy with her service. She is very knowledgable and she is the only person I trust with my hair. She is not only a great hairdresser, she is also a great person , very friendly, nice to talk with. The salon is very clean and the rest of the staff is also very friendly. Gong to salon 27 is an over all a very relaxing experience .

BLESSING is without a doubt the best African American stylist in Boston. She is clean and actually gets your hair done at your actual appointment time and your out becuase she does your right right through. She has a few other stylists who I have never personally been too but Ive seen their work and they are talented *must make an appointment * they have online booking and paying.

I have been coming here for almost 1 yr and always left happy with my hair, service and attention. Blessing is attentive and great with hair. My scalp is sensitive and hair is thick so it needs a special touch of which Blessing has. The place is always clean and welcoming. I recommend this place.
