Recently went in for a gel manicure with Van and was extremely disappointed with the result. The nails werent properly set under the UV light and she buffed my cuticles until they were actually bleeding. The Gel was also all around the skin bordering my nails so the manicure lifted after 2 days and half of the polish began peeling off. When I called to tell the salon they were completely indifferent and unapologetic. I told them that I would never be back, and that I would be reviewing my experience online. They did not once offer to fix my nails or apologize for the painful/subpar manicure. Additionally, I found it absurd that new clients be subject to a guided tour of the salon prior to their appointment. Mine consisted of being quickly led around the space by a girl who mumbled so incoherently I didnt know what she was showing me half the time. Practically none of the areas were private and it seemed the modern decor (of which I am a fan in most circumstances) consistently took precidence over the privacy/comfort of the client. There is an "internet cafe" where you can sit and browse the internet while you wait for your appointment (which for me, was 1/2 hour of waiting!) that consists of uncomfortable stools and the cheapest netbooks you can imagine. It is definitely not a relaxing environment as you feel you are on display to the rest of the salon. An internet lounge is a good idea but they really fell short on the execution. Also, you can help yourself to a beverage- water with lemons (with dirt from the lemons floating in the dispenser), stale coffee, or loose leave chamomile with no visible means of brewing. Overall, I got the impression that they blew their budget on the salon remodel and couldnt afford to properly execute any of the finer points, nearly all of which pertained to the comfort of the client. The manicure was cheap enough at $45- but ended up costing me another $35 somewhere else to have it removed/replaced. Really wouldnt reccommend for any nail service, or to anyone looking for a relaxing enviornment in a salon/spa.

I gave an honest review of Indra Salon after being a dedicated customer for over 3 years...instead of calling me to address me directly, they "Flagged" my review as inappropriate so that other prospective customers couldnt see the truth. Unforunately, they will probably flag this too....but those of you who are lucky enough to see this, do yourself a HUGE favor and stay far away..... My hair was so ruined by this salon it took me 4 visits to another stylist to fix it. Good luck.....

Susan is a perfectionist at heart which is why this detailed work is always finished to flawless perfection! My Favorite reason for this service is NO MASCARA! Ok, I am not one to criticize but, this place has the worst service possible and charges ridiculous amounts of money to actually ruin peoples hair. For the price, you are better off to go to Newbury Street. Atleast you wont have to worry about your hair being completely damaged. In addition, you will get treated like a person, instead of just a number! There are better choices for the money spent!

I had been going to April for about a year after having grown out one of the worst haircuts I ever had from Marc Harris. He had cut into my hairline with a razor and she just continued to cut into it as well, so it never grew out. My hairstyle would lose shape and color would fade within 3 weeks. I have stopped going there. I was spending about 200.00 every 3 weeks. It was ridiculous!!!!

Totally apreciative of the Loose Aveda Teas, and Keurigg machine that brews a fresh perfect cup of coffee. My niece works at the salon but still i feel unbiased because im also a guest. The young owners are trying the best on a budget to create an experience for their guests with plenty of attention to detail.

I made the mistake of going to the lowest level of hair dresser. I went back to her to fix it and then to another stylist, but my hair still looks awful!
