After Googling the net for their website I was really surprised to find such a negative review for these guys. Im really shocked and I feel I have to share my experience since it is so very different than the last reviewer. Ive been coming here for quite a few years now. Bob and Chris have been very good to me every time. They are always friendly to me and Ive never had an issue with them. This is why I kept choosing to come back. I had recently bought a new car and came to them for the inspection. I was nervous about letting the mechanics at the dealership perform the inspection and I wanted my own mechanic to do it. I m very glad I made that choice. Chris was very concerned about the condition of the tire tread. He told me the tires didnt pass inspection. He then showed me the grooves in question and explained in detail exactly what was wrong with them. He gave me a nice, new rejection sticker. Both Chris and Bob also went very much out of their way to help explain things to me and how I should go about handling it with the dealership. They knew the dealership was going to give me a hard time about it and they gave me some great advice. I was not pleased with the dealership, but out of that experience it really solidified how I feel about Main Street Auto. It helped me figure out where not to buy a car ever again and also where I should always bring my car whenever I need anything. You dont go to the mechanic for a good time. Finding one you like is hard. With that said, I think these guys are awesome. And while I can t speak for the previous reviewer, I can say that I dont have a bad word I can say about them.

I went to this garage a few weeks ago, I needed a quick oil change & I was driving by they gave me a great price and very quick! So I asked Chris about replacing my 2 rear tires he ordered them & installed them,price was ok and service great, with ALL that being said my Dad who is just retired, and is a military vetran with not ALOT of $$$, needed some work done on his 2002 Camry, I sent him there (unfortunately) they told him 800$ for a new power steering line installed, ok I thought sounds kinda high, then to find out they must have been the ones who were high, I took car to another shop just to see; they said 135$ installed!!! Obviously had them do it and working GREAT!!! Thats a HUGE difference!! I felt bad for recommending them to my Dad, cause he almost had them do it cause we didnt know what that costs & we put our trust in them and came very close to getting screwed for a extra 465$ thats ALOT OF XTRA $$$ If you ask me. This is no joke, no reason for me to knock them, they are knowledgable, just VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! I HAVE WRITTEN ESTIMATES OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED...off by 50$-100$ is one thing but 800$ versus 135$$ is crazy!! I had a transmission installed in a old Dodge pick-up and it cost me 900$, main St auto wanted 800$ to install a power steering hose. Dont take my word for youll see yourself,just shop around!!!!!!!!!

Main St Auto Services has become like family in my household. 15 year old car brought to them that the dealer told my wife and I would cost about $1,000 to repair. We paid Main St Auto $85.00; the issue was with the aging exhaust system, dealer was honest and explained that they dont actually FIX anything, they simply replace parts. Replacing the front exhaust pipe that needed a new flange was a very expensive way of getting the task completed. We have subsequently brought two more cars to them and purchased one used car from them. They act like keeping my cars road worthy is their job and as a result, Ive stopped thinking about when parts might need replacing, Chris, Bob, Steve, Les and Dave have taken that job off of my shoulders! One thing to note; that negative review from 5 years ago was entered by someone not brave enough to use his name. These guys get worse and worse every year, DO NOT GO TO THEM. I buy my own oil and filter and was able to get a change done for 10$ last year, this year the last three times I have gone there they went up to 15$, then 20$ last time and now they tell me they have to charge a minimum of 30$ for the use of the lift plus the 20$ for the change...I STILL HAVE MY OWN OIL AND FILTER. He will find the smallest thing to bring to your attention in order to make a buck, save yourself some time and money and NEVER go here.

This place is awesome! I presented them with a challenge that had stumped many before them for several months. Main St persisted and in the end provided a creative out of the box solution. They even followed up after a week to be sure all was still good! Love these guys and you will too!

The only place to go if you need work done on a Miata. Got my 4 wheels alingment done professionally, and quick. Could even bring my own specs!
