I took my car in for my state inspection and ended up paying over a thousand dollars to get my car fixed so it could pass. That wasnt the worst part. The worst part is the mechanic who "fixed" my car banged the heck out of it to replace two ball joints. My car started making weird noises after they "fixed" my car and were too busy to look at it so I took it to someone else and he noticed grease everywhere. The guy at DAE cut the left outer cv boot in his melee with the hammer he used to loosen the ball joint. DAE was good about fixing the CV boot. Ill give them that. But the noise was still bugging me so I took it to someone else and he found out that the left front ball joint that was just put in was bad. Well I cant blame that on DAE. I think it was just a bad part. And they were good about replacing that defective part too. But after the defective part was replaced I took my car to have my tires rotated at Costco (free service to people who buy their tires there) and they found one of the lug nuts was "cross threaded"? Not sure if thats the right term. But they had to snap it off in order to rotate my tires. I called DAE to tell the manager about it and he denied that it could have been their fault although they were the last people to remove that tire. sigh... I just told him to have his mechanic be more careful. And that NOISE! I finally took my car in yesterday and when my new mechanic lifted the car up and examined the left front where all that banging took place he found that the left dust shield was mangled up with hammer marks all over it. It looked like it was bent in too close to the wheel and so my new mechanic bent that back into place. He also checked my brake pads and tinkered a bit. Noise gone! I will never ever go back to DAE. Overpriced and shoddy workmanship.

I am a long time customer, and I would trust no one else with the service or maintenance of my familys automobiles. I recently had an engine replaced in my 02 Honda Civic. The repair estimate was incredibly informative and there were no surprises when I picked up my car. Its not everyday that you have to go through a major repair like that, but they had the experience to guide me through the process. I have and will continue to recommend Danvers Auto Engineering to anyone looking for top quality auto service.

Weve used Danvers Auto Engineering for more than 10 years and would never consider going anywhere else. They are all about customer service with competitive prices and an obsession with the details that keep your vehicle running safely for many years into the future. We bought a used 1994 Ford Taurus for our daughter that is still on the road today and running safely and smoothly for a college student/child of a friend because of the care it had received over the years by Danvers Auto Engineering.

I asked for an estimate for replacing the water pump on my Honda Civic. They gave me an estimate for very nearly $850, including over $400 in parts and $400 in labour. I could order the exact same Honda genuine parts for barely half the price. Furthermore, theyre charging $89.50/hour for labor, yet their estimate is that it would take them about as long to do the job as it would if I did it myself (without many of the tools a shop would have)? Thanks but no thanks.

I have made another trip to this auto shop, this time without an appointment and they still fit me in with a smile. I can even get a ride back to my house if the work will take more time than I can wait for! I have used this auto repair shop for over 10 years. Their work is good and they STAND BEHIND IT! That is worth a lot to me. Everyone knows "You Cant Please Everyone" but you cant put a price on Safety and standing by the work you do!

Our family has been servicing our cars at Danvers Auto for many years and wouldnt go anywhere else. The owners and staff are friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. They keep us on track with regular service reminders, and the work whether minor or major is done right the first time. We feel that we get high quality service for a fair price done by people that we trust. We highly recommend them.

I needed a wheel alignment, and decided to give them a try. The owner told me the cost, and made an appointment over the phone. The work was complete within the 1 hour time estimate, while I waited. They also noted that I had 3 tail light bulbs burned out, even though I didnt ask them to check. The work was done well, and within the quoted time & price. I will definitely go back.

Ive been using DAE for more than 10 years. Collectively, my "fleet" has more than 500,000 miles on it, at least in part I ascribe this to the care theyve taken of my vehicles in that time. Theyve always been responsive, and have been very clear in letting me know what HAD to be done, as opposed to what was just good to get done. I wouldnt take my cars anywhere else.

Long time customer, would not bring my cars anywhere else. Workmenship is top notch and you pay a fraction of the price the dealers charge. If you need a lift back to work, no problem, it is part of the service they offer. Pleasant people to deal with, quick & efficient repairs, at a reasonable price, what else can you ask for. A pleasure to do business with.

I give them average for the service, I was in and out quick, think they did a good job, but when I got the bill I was disappointed, about $80 for oil change and tire rotation, maybe that is the going rate but it seemed expensive to me
