Abdon provide exceptional service. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The office has a great collection of 1960s and 1970s display for your eyes wonder around. Jimmy is friendly and honest about the type of service that provide. He is an expert in his craft, taking time to communicate to you about the issues with your vehicle and give honest opinions that can save you a lot of time and money. As a local mechanic, Abdon is the first place you should call. My Acura 1999 TL Check Engine Light came on while driving. I called few places around Dorchester and had to wait a few days for the next available date and time to have the car look at. I found Abdon on yelp and heard great reviews, so I gave them a call. Jimmy was able to take 5 mins out of his time to look at my car. The problem was fixed in less than 3 minutes and I was on my way. Jimmy is kind to had not charge me for his service. Compare to the other guys who charges $75 just to look at the car. I cannot thank you enough. Jimmy is a life saver.

Great experience at Abdon Auto Repair. Jimmy does a great job. The source of a rattling noise in the rear of my car was diagnosed properly and an observation was made about another issue that likely should be taken care of in the near future (my rear shocks). Jimmy gave me the prices and options, I was happy to have all the recommended work completed. The car rides much better now with the new rear shocks, balanced tires, and new rear sway bar bushings. His pricing was fair and the turn around time was quick. I was even willing to have the front struts replaced figuring the shocks and struts saw the same amount of wear over the years but Jimmy was adamant that the are doing great and there is no need to replace them. Thank you again Jimmy and crew at Abdon Auto!

I brought my car to this garage based on the location and rave reviews I read online... the reviews were spot on! Jimmy is a great mechanic- very honest, personable and happy to clearly explain the issues with my car as well as my options for repairing it. To top it off, the prices are better than anywhere else Ive looked. Im so happy to have found a local mechanic to rely on! =) PS- the garage is less than a block from the T so its very easy to drop your vehicle off and then take the train to wherever you need to go.

Great mechanic. Took my car here for a couple years and only stopped as I moved to Wisconsin. Jimmy is honest and prices are more than fair. When hearing that I was moving out of state, Jimmy gave me his card and said to call him if I ever wanted to get a second opinion on a repair estimate. Wont find a better place in the area for auto service / repair.

Great mechanic. My car was making a terrible noise. I thought it was toast. Turned out it was leaking and out of oil! He couldve told me the engine was damaged but was honest. Said that Id gotten lucky. I only was charged for an oil change. There is no mechanic Id trust more.

Went to get my plates changed because a bolt was rusted and they didnt even charge me! Ive been back many times since and every time they do a great job without jacking up the price. Theyre also very friendly. If there was a six star rating, Id give them that.
