I came in to his shop with my truck idling rough. He was extremely nice and friendly right from the start. He came right out to my truck to take a look. He hooked up his scanner and advised me of my issue. I had a vacuum leak somewhere but we both couldnt find it at the moment. He said he could run a test for me if I were able to leave it with him for a little while. I agreed, and so he ended up doing a smoke test, found the air leak, fixed it and didnt charge me much at all for the repair. The fact that he went out of his way to help me so quickly despite being so busy. The way he was so friendly and easy to talk to and everything else about this place will make me always come back for future repairs. This was my first impression and it was a great experience. Thank you!

Kyle was outstanding. In many ways. The night before I brought my car to him I had the whole front end of my car completely apart trying to locate an airbag problem. I put my car back together and brought it to Kyle. I pulled up to his shop AT THE TIME WE AGREED AND HE WAS THERE. All I did was explain and he immediately located the problem. It was a humbling experience to say the least. Then to go the extra mile he brought my car to get inspected for me. Kyle has an approachable personality and his performance is dialed in. He will remain my family mechanic. He is a rare breed because he is a mechanic not just a part changer. Thanks Kyle for your service and your hospitality!

I have gotten my families vehicles serviced at Essex County Auto repair for several years. While it is out of the way and not as conveniently located to me as many other auto repair shops, i would not take my vehicles anywhere else to be repaired. After a horrible experience with the local Toyota dealer, I decided to call around for quotes. Boy, am I glad I called here. The service is excellent. We are a 1 car family, and they took me home and picked me up the day they had my car, the quote given was spot on, and most of all, I felt a level of honesty from the owner. I was visiting Andover, MA from New York City with my family. The power steering hard line on our 2008 Camry broke and we were almost 4hrs from home and needed a vehicle. Not only is Kyles professionalism outstanding, but he is also well dressed in multiple ASE certifications, and is constantly up-to-date in all areas regarding automotive and diesel services. Fully operational shop with the most up-to-date tools and equipment, there is certainly no job to big for them to handle. And by far one of the cleanest and welcoming shops in the north shore area.

I have been hanging on to my 1986 SAAB 900 for 15 years, When I found planet Saab several years ago, I found I could trust Paul to repair and service it for hopefully another 15 years. Very reasonable prices and he goes over everything on the car to be sure its OK and ready to go on the road again. I know I can recommend Paul for anyone who has a Saab and wants to meet a REAL honest expert mechanic who loves SAABS, too. He even fixed my radio.

This place does great work at a fair price. Kyle is extremely professional and knowledgeable and has helped me out numerous occasions with my car. He always talks me through what work needs to be done before he repairs it and even drops me off at my house when i take the car in for work. I live about a mile away. I also had him check out my "new" used vehicle before i purchased it. I will be bringing my new car to him as well for any work.

Before finding Essex County Auto, I was always anxious about whether or not I was getting ripped off by my dealership or mechanic.
