Ive never had such a frustrating experience at a service station or repair shop; the complete disregard for customers, service, and professionalism is appalling - its beyond reprehensible. Sadly, the service Ive received from Living Social hasnt been any better... although Ive been unable to schedule my remote starter installation - and in fact, havent even been able to talk to anyone about it - Living Social has failed incredibly as well. Ill spare you the details of all 27 phone calls (literally; I started keeping a spreadsheet after the 5th try), but between myself and my assistant, weve been told "the guy who handles remote starters" (thats our name for him, since weve been given various names for "the only guy" who handles them, depending on the day) is on vacation (for three weeks now, apparently), "at the other location," working with another customer, and more. In 27 attempts to schedule an appt. to use my Living Social voucher, NOT ONE EMPLOYEE has been willing to take my name or number, or pass any sort of message along. Awesome service! Of course when I tried to just cancel my Living Social voucher, they were able to talk to someone who "guaranteed they could get me right in!", so they wont process a refund. Over the next 4 hours, we tried to call 8 times and got nowhere. Ive now had to file a dispute with my credit card company, and just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, though given their attitude, Im sure they dont give a flying fedora. My advice: avoid at all costs.

$21.99 oil change! 29 point checkup on car for free! I was told by the manager "were under new management"", which I think was designed to allay my fears as regards old management. I was asked to sign the receipt, being advised that the oil change was 21.99 and the rest was "tax", for a total of $25.36. During the hour it took to get my oil change and give me my 29 point review (there were 2 other cars in the garage), I thought about how my bill went from 21.99 to 25.36 on tax. My new pal took me out to my car and advised, there are problems, Boss" and proceeded to show me over $2,000 worth of vital, urgent repairs. We then went back to the desk to check out. I reviewed the final bill to see a $3.50 "shop supplies" charge. When challenged on this additional charge, I was told "everyone charges a shop charge". He also said, you reviewed the bill when you signed it. I said that was also when you told me all additional charges over 21.99 were tax. He got very defensive and raised his voice when asked if the $3.50 was tax". Obviously not. As it turns out, their regular oil change charge is $24.99 plus tax. So their special was nonsense. I will never go back.

They tried to screw me over right away. My exhaust mid-pipe rusted out and fell off producing almost racecar sounds due to exhaust not going through the muffler to be quieted down. So I went in, they took a look and told me straight up that they my cat was too rusty (total bs) and theyll have to weld it on both sides and it will cost $360. So the gist of that is this: they would create a total hack that would cost major money to repair if any component of it goes, they reuse all my parts, labor takes about 1-1.5 hours and for that I have to pay $360. That figures to about $200/hour to create an awful hack out of my own worn-out parts. Obviously I said "hell no" and went to my usual mechanic. He charged me $280 which included about 1 hour of work and a brand new mid-pipe (about $190 with hardware). So before you go to visit these goons you should think about it twice. Chances are theyll just make you pay for repairs you dont need and dearly at that.

I took my car there because of engine noises & the engine light. They looked at it, and said I needed a new Distributor Cap & Rotor ($400). After getting the car back, it was ok for the first 30 miles, then the engine light came back on, and the noise was even worse. A different mechanic took a look, and said the car had severe engine damage (not caused by Midas). He said the repair they did was the quickest way to get the engine to quiet and turn off the engine light so they could charge me a repair fee and get me out the door. The true assesment would have been a $2500 engine repair, one which was probably not worth it in light of the age and value of the car. Since Midas would know they, he figured that getting me to pay $400 was better than nothing as they knew I wouldnt go for the $2500 repair. TOTAL CHEATS! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!

I Called and asked if they are capable of welding an aluminum bung onto aluminum air intake tubing. Granted, not a typical task for a exhaust shop that works primarily in steel but they told me that "You cannot weld aluminum" - not that they do not have the equipment, but that it simply cannot be done - in a very as a matter of fact manner before and after checking with one of the tech guys. If anyone has ever seen an aluminum bicycle, then theyve seen welded aluminum. Id suggest staying away from these guys, as either they will lie straight to your face or are not very saavy. Both are dangerous to trust your car or wallet with.

Desiree was dead on. Gina and Sam are obviously fake. Sam left 3 five star reviews at Midas locations in Worcester, Framingham, and Auburn, and 3 bad reviews at Monroe (Midas competitor I am guessing) ALL ON THE SAME DAY, I dont know if they could have made it any more obvious... Unfortunately like many of you who might be reading this I did buy the buywithme voucher before I checked this, however I was able to call buywithme (guilt city now) to request a refund (they gave me a credit). The 10 dollar you save on an oil change by using the vouch is not worth the risk of dealing with a business like this.

The reviews by Gina and sam are obviously fakes. Gina just happened to review two Midas locations (Worcester and Framingham) on the same day -- seems unlikely. Sam not only reviewed three Midas locations in Worcester and Framingham, but also left very poor reviews for three Monroe locations close to those Midas locations. I was seriously considering buying a Groupon for Midas in Worcerster and/or Framingham, but doing this kind of stuff is slimy. Just think about what other types of slimy things they will do when trying to sell you something.

The staff was very informative, I felt I was well taken care of and the service exceeded my expectations. I had a few quotes from other garages on replacing a catalytic converter by none nearly as low as Midas. I usually do all the work on cars myself but couldnt handle the welding required to fix this one, I did however check the work after on a lift and it looked very professional and i was very pleased. This shop defiantly get my recommendation.

Great customer service and mechanics. Matt the manager was able to take the group on my wife bought me with on issue and the mechanic Mark was upfront an honest about my car needing fluids flushed from the coolant, power steering and break lines. These guys were fast and professional and knew when to refer me to AAMCO their neighboring shop for transmission line work that they could do but where not as equipped to complete. Thanks Matt and Mark!
