June 28, 2015 Raphael took all the time I needed to explain my options to me despite the fact that the machine later turned out not to be worth fixing. He did diagnostics but never charged me even though I offered to pay. February 2, 2016, update, Raphael and Daniel were formerly employees of the shop but now they own the shop. Daniel answered all my questions and offered helpful ideas about how I could save money and get computer to run faster and to get the battery to last longer. I brought a dead laptop in, paid $200 total including labor, and cost of new solid state drive. The next day I walked out with a machine worth $500-$600 February 7, 2016 update Im thrilled. Its so fast now that it feels like cheating. I had them put in the solid state drive because my old disk died. But it would have been worth doing even if the disk had not died. Im going to do my other laptop too, even though theres nothing wrong with it. 2 reminders for new customers. They will do troubleshooting, no charge, if you do the work there. I noticed on my receipt that they have the option to charge you $45 if you dont have the repairs done there. I brought a computer in and I didnt have repairs done and they didnt charge me. But I suppose they could. I had my operating system reinstalled. Im really glad I did because that got rid of every trace of malware and bloatware. But I did have to reinstall all my programs and reset all my settings, which was fine with me. Also, when you reinstall your operating system, it will have to do a lot of updates. It did that automatically for me, but it was just a little slow at first, while it was doing that. A few features didnt work well at first. But after a while it just started getting better and better as all those house-keeping tasks got finished. Im thrilled. These guys are great. Its unbelievable, in this day and age, to be having the owner doing the actual work. Im totally spoiled now.

After sputtering along for longer than we want to admit, my wife’s 11-year old Dell desktop PC with Windows XP finally gave out. One morning it just wouldn’t turn on, denying my wife access to years of recipe files she had created in PageMaker, a hobby that didn’t justify investing in the newer InDesign software. We purchased another Dell desktop and called ProHelp to set it up and transfer the files from the old hard drive to the new one. Daniel was quick and efficient at setting up the new PC, unfazed by my wife and me looking over his shoulder. He asked a lot of questions to set preferences that would work best for my wife, advising us along the way about features we were unfamiliar with and may or may not want active. Transferring the old files was easy enough. The real challenge was reinstalling the obsolete PageMaker program on a Windows 10 operating system, a situation Daniel had not encountered before. My wife had the original installation disks, as well as some upgrades. Daniel made several attempts, all the while explaining to us his thought process as he tried different combinations of disks, installation codes and earlier versions of Windows. Finally on his third or fourth attempt, success. We were so relieved. My wife and I were very impressed by not only Daniel’s knowledge, but his patience and tenacity in figuring out how to install the PageMaker program. We firmly believe that anyone else would have given up after a few tries and declare it couldn’t be done. We are so glad to have discovered Pro Help. They will be our “go to” for whatever IT support we need in the future.

I brought the same computer in 5 times in one month. The problem was never resolved. But I did pay them about $200 in labor, and $250 in new hard drives in order for them to find the problem. later I took the computer to an amateur who resolved the problem by resetting the bios. The hispanic technician here seems to lack some basic computer knowlegde but you wont pick up on it, unless you are a computer guru They were not very professional as far as taking responisbility for repairs that were not effective. i was quite calm but assertive in asking them to re address the issues. On two occasions, it took two weeks for them to get back to me even though they had already handled the PC for the same issue previously. often one employee called me, to discuss the PC, but a different one would be working that day. I think they should have put this customer in priority at that point. Make note that this is with the new management who has taken over.

I had a great experience at Pro Help. I had a really bad virus on my computer and Daniel walked me through everything. All of my files on my computer were gone and he recovered them. He put in a lot of effort and time and the price was extremely reasonable. I would recommend coming here for any computer problems. They are so helpful and personable. Daniel worked with me and around my schedule to help get everything done. They are truly dedicated to their jobs and looking to help you not screw you over like the big companies. I also dropped off my iPhone that was damaged. They looked at it and couldnt fix it, but didnt charge me anything. Their customer service is above and beyond what you will get from a corporate store.

Had an excellent experience at Pro Help Computers. Had some old cad software that just would boot on a purchased windows 7 machine. Returned the machine to have it checked. (Pro Help) spent over 1 1/2 hours working on the machine and resolved the problem. This was a HUGE relief as a new copy of the software would have cost several thousand dollars. They saved the day and my wallet. I very highly recommend Pro Help and will refer all that need computer help. Thank you and crew...Best of luck in future business.

The management here is amazing! They always find a way to fix the problems my mum and I have. Even the most difficult things are so easily taken care of. For example, the mouse pad on my dell laptop had been disabled by something I had touched. I looked all over the internet to see if I could fix it, but I found nothing. When I visited the store, within minutes they had fixed my problem. Now I can use my mouse pad and the laptop is working better than ever.

I had an old computer that needed up dating (purchased here, several years ago. it was too old. Raphael helped me graciosusly to pick out another excellent Dell.. he was good at transferring old files onto new for me to work on cleaning up or retaining when i got it home. The old computer had Windows XP version. I did get a tune up with it last yr. This year it ended up with a virus. I trust PCExchange to come to whenever I had problems to resolve.

I had a nice experience at the PCExchange after a miserable one at the Geek Squad. I dropped my laptop off after the Microsoft automatic download stopped it in its tracks and left me with a blue screen I could not get out of and after a bad trip to the Best Buy and Geek Squad. I was able to drop off the laptop and return a few days later to pick it up. Couldnt have been simpler...and the price was reasonable as well. I highly recommend them.
