First, if you are looking at this, then you should read all of it; you will find this very helpful. I needed a place to take my laptop, so I did some searching on the net. I took the time to read the reviews for each place I considered. The reviews for Dover Computer Repair (DCR), were very compelling for me to use them. As stated in at least one review, they were very helpful on the phone and in it of itself, I found them the go to repair shop. They know what they are talking about and they know just how to repair your computer the first time out. I took my 5 year old laptop to them to replace the display cable. As promised, they had the job done in a few hours. All of the DCR employees are very knowledgeable and I found that they also have integrity, people you can rely on and the best part is, you get more than you expect. When I took my laptop home and tried it for the first time after the repair, I discovered that not only did they repair it, but they made it look as good as new and work as good as new. I’m telling you my machine was so clean, I could have had dinner on it. The display was clean as a whistle, the keyboard has never looked this good expect for the day I bought it. My fans were all cleaned out and you can barely here them run. Yet my machine has been well used for 5 years and after service at DCR, like new, really!! Last thing you should know, they will not cheat you with an absurd price for the repair. If you are unsure as to if you can afford the work, talk to them, they can most times tell you upfront what it will cost. They are well worth your time to give them a call, you won’t be disappointed.

If you want a truly exceptional, professional maintenance team of experts to treat your computer to a day at the digital spa, dont settle for any less than the crew at Dover Computer Repair. I brought my computer to them on a Friday for a thorough cleaning and upgrade to the RAM and hard-disk drive. After the weekend, I picked up a squeaky clean, high performing "Screaming Meanie" that doesnt just surf the web, it Jet-Skis through it! Dont let their immaculately clean front lobby fool you though; their thoroughly kempt appearance belies an ability to get the job done, no matter what, PERIOD! These folks arent afraid to climb under the hood and get grease under their nails. They dont say they think outside the box, they say "What box?" You dont have to face the maintenance of your precious link to the rest of the world all alone. The internet is a sea of cross currents, undertows and jellyfish. I get depressed when my computer works just fine.....that means I dont have a good reason to stop in and see my favorite computer geeks. They have the magic touch that makes my world whole again. Whenever your computer is acting up, I highly recommend that you stop in and give your computer a chance to be fixed by the greatest guys in the Dover computer world. An analogy for computer knowledge, to me, is the difference between processed food and home cooking. You get a lot of unintended ingredients in processed food, but the real computer knowledge is like home cooking---all good ingredients melded together by an experienced hand. The difference is in the quality of taste for food and in the computer, a reliable response to quality service. They can fix things that others would perhaps throw out. Give them a try....you wont be disappointed.

I have driven by this store for quite a while but only had occasion to stop in last week with a small problem which was fixed immediately. While there, I asked about a Mac laptop I had at home that was in dire need of upgrading. They were very helpful and gave me an estimate. I decided it was a great price, and I had been very impressed with their customer service. I took the laptop in and three days later I had a new solid state drive, operating system, and RAM. What a pleasure it was to deal with these gentlemen. I dont normally like to part with my hard earned money, but I was happy to give it to them because they provided exceptional service and customer service beyond anything Ive seen in a long time. I would feel very comfortable recommending them and hope they are around for a long time. Thank you!

I went there yesterday with my Samsung galaxy S2 Tab. Talked to them on phone and got a price to replace the charging port. I said ok. They wanted to see tablet to make sure they ordered the right part to replace it. I thought Id replace internal battery as its a year and a half old while they had it open anyway. When I got there they took a look and gave me a new cord. This one fit snug and worked great! Its on charger as I write this. Its actually charging up instead of slowly losing power as I use it. This has been going on for last 3 weeks. They couldve ordered parts did work, but they were refreshingly honest and charged me two dollars for cord!!! Yes that 2 bucks!!! Had an excellent experience with this company/shop. Have a high end gaming PC and damaged the mother board. I brought the PC in and the staff was super helpful and polite. This was on a Friday and they had to order the same mother board because it has a unique set up. Said they would most likely have it done by next Thursday. It was ready on Tuesday. They kept me well informed on what they were doing and provided the diagnostics for me on the same day I dropped it off. The cost was very reasonable (minus the replacement motherboard which wasnt under their control) for the repairs. I will totally go back there if I get other problems and recommend it to those I know.

Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and accessible. It was a relief to find Dover Computer Repair. Peeling away the noise, crowds and lights of chain computer places, DCR listens to your questions and concerns and meets you with a prompt answer as well as repairs. DCR can help from a distance by remote if necessary, but their shop is a nice place to drop in to. Hours and place are both convenient. Once youve been there, they will keep you in the loop should you need anything in the future.

This review is based on 2 telephone conversations with the technicians at DCR. What a pleasure dealing with 2 knowledgeable, local, English speaking individuals. I called back twice because I had to speak with a Microsoft technician based in the Phiippines, in between, who could not help me with a Microsoft caused problem that crashed my laptop. These guys gave me several repair scenarios and discussed the possible fees with me. I look forward to meeting them in person, about an hour from now.

I know I am in the best hands when I call Dover Computer repair. They always troubleshoot with me over the phone first to try to solve my problem. They are not trying to make money from a simple fix. If I need to bring my computer into the shop I always get it back in a very short time. I highly recommend Dover Computer for any computer issues.
