The only complaint I have about Lunenburg is the postal "service" but unfortunately, a significant one. Was traveling nurse for years, lived other places and receiving mail was never an issue. Not once. Until I moved to Lunenburg. They seem to epitomize everything youve ever heard thats wrong with postal carriers with no accountability. Stuffing my box with someone elses mail even after talking to them numerous times, writing my name on and in the box itself, writing on mail that isnt mine and returning it explaining that the person doesnt live at that address. And when my box was full of mail wrongly delivered to my box, then they held it and I had to pick it up at the post office. Nothing has changed after 2.5 years. They stopped delivering my mail, returned it to senders and said I no longer lived at the address. Bills, purchases made online, personal letters etc, were never delivered and caused quite a mess. Have been in several times to try and resolve and nothing has changed. Update: I spoke with Bill McBride (supposedly his name and the supposed station manager whom he initially referred to in the third person.) After blaming me for all the mail problems I am having, he told me (Direct quote) " make sure your box is labeled with your name on it." This was after having said three times the box has been labeled for over a year. (This is not an issue of occassional wrong mail, as he tried to claim. This is a systematic delivery problem causing a full box that would not otherwise be full.) He then said, "we deliver based on address not by names." Fascinating. Never heard that one before. So what good is labeling the mail box? If I travel and will be gone longer than 30 days, I must forward my mail and then it will resume to my residence when I return. Lol. Right. They cant handle delivering the correct mail to the correct address when Im in town but I should trust them with a more complicated process of forwarding my mail and then resuming to my residence when I return. Got it. Truly, its this kind of interaction that makes any concerned, thinking person distrust the basic intelligence of humanity or at least the post office in Lunenburg.

This is my 2nd time getting packages from this post office since I am new to town, but I always make sure that my address is correct so as there is no error on my part, but we cant quite say the same for this particular driver. I know this is the holiday season and mistakes happen but when you are sitting home waiting for a package to arrive and you go online to see its been delivered and you know that no one has been at your home and when you go outside to see just by chance maybe you didnt hear them when they came. Well they delivered the package alright but to whom? because it sure wasnt me, I called the post office and the guy says oh yeah I remember that box I will have to call the carrier and see where he delivered it to and get back to me. Well I called them again for a third time and this time the lady who answered was very helpful at least she was able to tell me where the package had been delivered and I was able to retrieve it.

Consistently have packages out of this office marked as delivered on tracking, but arent-- or marked as "couldnt find house", when its right next to the street, and no other carrier has this issue. Having to call the office for almost anything shipped via USPS gets very old. Very frustrating. At the minimum, stop updating the tracker incorrectly.
