This is my breakdown of the gym on a 100 point scale. Weights: 19/20 - they have almost everything you need, and some things you dont. Was sad to see no counter-weighted pull up machine, but thats just me, so -1 point. Cardio: 20/20 - They have LITERALLY every machine you could want. And most have TVs on them! Couldnt ask for more here Classes / Extras: 20/20 - There are tons of classes going on, and tons of rooms for them. The rooms can be used for whatever you want if there are no classes going on. Management: 10/10 - They all seem very friendly. Mens Facilities: 5/10 - I want to score this lower, but Im trying to be fair... the lockers are great, they look nice, they are clean inside. Great! There are free hair dryers just laying on the nice large vanity areas.... The real problem is... open showers. Its just a big ol open shower. This, isnt a huge problem from MY point of view, as Im not very modest... however... the problem lies in the old men that litter all gyms. They literally just STARE at you naked in the shower. This is also an issue for me because its $87 a month! My old Golds Gym... Work out World... AND planet fitness (I moved a lot) ALL had private showers, and theyre prices were considerably less. So, if you have another place to shower, this place is GREAT! If you dont... and you dont want to be eye raped, then consider something else.

WORST GYM IN TOWN.... I used to be a member here, and it is the worst. Most expensive Gym in town. Family membership is over $1,800 for the year. Front desk staff are not friendly. Locker rooms are old, damp and musty smelling. Basketball court has sooooo many dead spots. There are guys that play in a basketball league that show up very early. If you are playing on the court they either kick you off or walk in the middle of your game and warm up. We are talking over an hour before their games. Poor is dirty and cloudy. Equipment is older, and not updated enough. Racquetball courts were cut down from like 6 to 2 years ago. They are in bad shape and need updating. Membership staff and Management are rude. They changed my family membership after 3 years of having it the way it was set up, and tried to get more money out of me. When I talked to them about it, they were rude. For a club that is such a rip-off with their prices, i cant see why the club is in such poor shape. I think it is because the only other club in town for too many years was Gold’s which was so far away, but thanks to the new Gold’s and Planet fitness, that is no longer the case, and Longfellow has lost hundreds of members according to someone that I know that used to work there.

I have been a member at Longfellows, Natick for one year. In that time I have enjoyed using the many pieces of equipment in both their ground and upper floors. I have seen the equipment being serviced regularly. The pool is fine except for the extraordinary bad behavior of many of the children who break rules by running near the pool and other unbecoming behavior! I do not, as suggested by a prior reviewer find the rules outrageous. Rules are for safety reasons and should be adhered to thereby making daily trips to the gym pleasurable rather than an irritation! Many areas of the establishment has been updated such as the men and womens locker rooms, lobby etc.. I have always found these areas very clean before and after these renovations. A new space has been opened up on the second floor for yoga which I hope to join in the near future. The cafe is nice and clean with a good healthy menu. I have found all staff members extremely pleasant and helpful in the gym, reception and offices. In addition they offer extremely competent and diligent trainers. In summary, prior to joining Longfellows, I checked out a number of gyms in the neighborhood. In comparison they proved to be badly run, dirty and overpriced for what they were offering.

This club does not update facility, does not keep it clean, even after I specifically requested management to upkeep the women locker room in better condition. Frequently walking in to disgusting bathroom/shower conditions. The club does not hire more cleaning crew when it is busy time, so the locker room is filled with pool of water, clumps of hair, etc. There were times where they just put a yellow tape over broken tiles or broken shower heads for months. It also has inconsistent lap pool rules. My daughter and I were swimming laps, and were told to get out because my daughter was too young. However, there were other times we were told to only use lap lanes. It seems like their own staff need to get the rules right. After several embarrassing encounters, I finally decided that I will take my entire family to join a different club.

I joined the club in March 2010, this club has the worst management, worst owner ever. If you think about joining the club, think twice before making any decision. Try the club first, meet with all the people that you will see including managements. The pool is alway full with people, no space to swim, too many kids there in the summer. Tennis has court fees, front desk people are not friendly. DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB!!!! No refunds on your membership what soever, so dont make the same mistake I did. Find other clubs that are more friendly place and makes you want to go there often. The owners name is: Laury, he is very unprofessional, no people skill, dont care about the customers and dont care how they feel and what they are unhappy with. Laury doesnt care!!!

For me the equipment was fine and the pool was fine. What bothered me was the staff. They were rude and constantly yelled at everybody even if they were 2 feet away from them. The staff need to check their attitudes. And the rules. The rules were outrageous. There were some rules I could understand like dont run near the pool. Then there were others like you cant dive except on the diving board and even children cant change except in the changing room! And there were thousands and thousands of rules. I think that the staff of Longfellow needs to try out all of their rules an see if they actually need all of those. The kids have less fun and no one wants to have less fun! It was a one star and I would never in a million years come back.

I really like the Longfellow Club. The pool uses salt water instead of chlorine so it feels great on your skin. The water exercise classes are excellent and you do not have to sign up for them, just show up. The nutrition program is amazingly good. The cafe, although small, has a great selection of healthy food. The clubs management is very good about making programs that work for individuals and families, and interested in green technologies, The staff is very supportive, with great instructors. There is a lot that is offered, we love the club. I think some of the front desk staff have occasionally seemed like they dont know much about the programs, so that is an area that could be improved.
