Let me start by saying that my wife and I had High hopes for Dave Myers at Real Property Management Metro Boston (RPM). It turned out to be a horrible experience to say the least. Saying it was shady, dishonest, and incompetent would be an understatement. My wife and I contacted RPM to hire them as a management company for our two family home. We had an existing tenant downstairs and needed them to find a tenant for the second unit, and to oversee various maintenance jobs and improvements on the property. First off we were encouraged to use their contractor "because they could guarantee the work" and informed me I had to pay for everything up front with cash from the escrow created on our account ($500) as they do not accept credit cards. This “contractor” in fact turned out to be Dave Meyers the property manager doing the work. Worse off is that he would make up prices for the jobs as he went. For example a "sliding scale" for snow removal ranging $50 - $120, $75 charges for emergency after hours calls, and his labor for doing some lite yard work at the property was $75/hr plus tacking on and additional 10% for materials as well. Our experience with RPM (Dave Myers) has been unforthcoming and incompetent almost every step of the way. From providing the son of our unit 1 tenants 18 year old son keys to the second units apartment to show the unit (Subsequently had an underage drinking party in the unit and trashed it), to executing a lease that was incorrect in almost every way (only $50 security deposit collected and a verbal agreement to collect the remaining, no socials, improper documentation…), to allowing tenants to move in with this illegal lease, to not providing information for burst pipes and subsequent damages on the property and approving work by their "contractor" with no receipts provided, to inadequate quarterly reports ($75 fee for those as well). My wife and I have been continually stunned by their negligence, lack of attention to detail, and no communication to us as to what is happening with the property. Dave Meyers even went as far as to call me a “dick” and hold my funds due hostage after canceling the contract. Unbelievable! Stay away from these franchise hacks, and my wife and I will be reporting their conduct to the Better Business Bureau as well.

For over a year now, I have worked in an office next to Real Property Management Metro Boston. Over that time, I’ve not only seen how professional Dave Myers is in conducting his business, but have personally benefited from his expansive knowledge of real estate: specifically his expertise in issues of tenant rights. I had a bad situation with my landlord where he was failing to address legitimate concerns I had with my unit (mold, appliances in disrepair, etc). I didn’t want to be an annoying tenant or to just stop paying my rent, but I needed these issues addressed immediately! With Dave’s help, I crafted an informative and non-threatening email to the landlord about the items of concern. Once the landlord realized that (I knew) I could have sued him, he was so grateful that I was willing to work with him instead that he immediately addressed the issues without any hard feelings! Whether you need property management services, or just want some advice, Dave brings his passion for real estate with him 24/7 and is always glad to help out!

No star rating. My experience with Real Property Management Company and Dave Myers has to say the least been challenging. I found them not to be responsive to the maintenance requests submitted. Eventually they were fixed close to 3 months after asking. Managed a property where the tenants below left bed bugs, apartment was not inspected in sight left the other units to deal with bug issue. Thank goodness the apartment below me documented when she submitted the maintenance request for her findings which as back last week in December and then again on March 6 or 7th. I believe it the property manager or company inspected the unit after it was vacated this issue could of been dealt with accordingly. I was never notified by the property management company that they were treating her unit and her unit only. I called expressed my concern and that is when they decided to treat all six units versus 1. I never received a phone from Dave or the company.

Horrendous experience. I put down ~$900 in advance fees for RPM Metro Boston to rent out a vacant property of mine. An entire month passed and the unit was never so much as advertised for rent (not on Craigslist nor RPMs own site -- not anywhere). No work was performed to prepare the unit for rent, though I was sent several outrageously marked-up quotes by Dave Myers. Communication was non-existent: my experience was one of unreturned phone calls, ignored e-mails, utter non-performance, and ultimately more than $2,300 lost ($600 to RPM + $1,700 in lost rental income). I echo all the sentiments of the other negative reviews here. If youre looking for service or professionalism, I implore you to look elsewhere.

Dave at RPM is a great property manager, and brings a lot more to the table than most PMs Ive hired in the past to manage properties. He has a background in business which is invaluable because he gets that I try to run my rentals as a business, and he helps me do that every step of the way. He is responsive, knows real estate inside and out, and has a great network of tradespeople, brokers, etc. to ensure that my properties are always handled professionally and efficiently. Would highly recommend.

I have referred many people to Dave Myers of Real Property management and he has been professional, responsive, and easy to deal with. My family owns alot of real estate and honestly we have had the worst experiences with other management companies. Dave has exceeded my expectations as a property manager and I could say that I would recommend him and his company to a close friend.
