Agent redlined us. After asking where we were living now, and for my boyfriends name, she referred to my boyfriend (who is a recent college grad) as a "problem", and told us that our application would be denied despite my own income. She refused to provide a baseline acceptable income, and repeatedly said that my income/credit history/etc was insufficient. She insisted that only one person in the rental having a fulltime job would not be acceptable. Claimed that the landlord would be concerned about our rent being affordable when we currently pay $350 more than their asking price. She said there was serious concern about my being fired. When I asked if single renters were being shot down because they might be fired, she said that she was just "offering scenarios". She said that she would be willing to process our application, but that we were going to be shot down anyway, and that it would be different if I were not dating him. Apparently our situation would have been acceptable if we were family members/friends/etc. I informed her that I was no longer interested. Their website currently offers 4,000+ rentals. We were apparently unacceptable for all of them. She did not even attempt to showcase other properties where we might not be a "problem". The best part is that this is actually the second instance of this behavior with this agent, the first of which occurred earlier this year. Her name seemed familiar and I looked back at our email exchange.

Not at all happy with Westcott. We bid on a property first thing on a Monday morning. A few hours later we received a counter-offer, which we responded to - and accepted - within just a few minutes. We didnt hear anything at all until the following afternoon (even though our agent had left several messages) & when they finally contacted us it was to say that the seller accepted someone elses offer!! We were never even given a chance to outbid whoever "snuck in" & sealed the deal. Very upsetting, especially given the fact that we accepted their counter!! When all was said & done they basically said "too bad, its out of our control". We wont ever again even look at a property with their name attached to it .

They are the scum of the earth. Plain and simple! They are unethical, dishonest and unprofessional. They do not return phone calls, do not follow through and are rude both in person and over the phone. During one attempted conversation, they put me on hold for 17minutes and then hung up on me. I went down there to see them in person and was told by Melissa that the broker (Joy Riley) would come out to speak with me. I waited in the office for 40 minutes without being acknowledged. I proceeded to write a letter, of which the man at the front window "Michael" was reluctant to accept and relay. Stay away at all costs!

Buying your first house can be a stressful process, but Westcott Properties did everything they could to make my experience as easy and smooth as possible! The house I fell in love with had a few issues that made it not quite as easy as a traditional sale, but everyone at Westcott was so knowledgeable and knew how to handle every bump that came our way! They never stopped advocating and fighting for what was best for me, and therefore I ended up with the house I wanted and a great deal to boot. Id highly recommend Westcott Properties to anyone looking to buy a home!

If I could give this company zero stars, it would be one too many. I reported Ms. Riley to the DBR (the saga is too long to recount here but trust me, it was an amazing story) and at least got them to make her pay a fine. Every real estate professional I told about my story was hoping shed lose her license because what she did to me wasnt out of the ordinary. Hopefully Citibank has ceased using this company to sell their REO properties.

Never answers called her assistant she put me on hold then transferred to joy and was hung up on. Ive emailed her multiply times and called and left messages many times. The assistant was surprised when I called back and asked what that was about.(i was on a land line). There are some real issues going on over there and I dont know what it is.

By far the least professionally run real estate brokerage Ive ever come across, and with the amount of laziness and dishonesty, it is amazing that theyre still in business. To Westcott, buyers and sellers are not human beings with lives and emotions, instead theyre just seen as dollar signs.
