A heartfelt thanks to Tbros (Trethewey Brothers). I live in LA and was in Boston to visit the current exhibition of 17th-century Dutch paintings at the MFA. I was staying in a basement apartment rented through one of those online services. It was arranged by a friend who was going to come with me, but he called it off at the last minute because of a family emergency. Since I already had a plane ticket and my accommodation paid for, I decided to go by myself. The apartment was nice and the landlord who lives upstairs had left the key under the mat, so I didnt get to meet him. As it turned out, he was out of town. I found that out when the first morning after the day I arrived, the proverbial crap hit the fan. Not literally, but close. The toilet clogged up completely, and overflowed. Then, when I lifted off the top of the toilet tank, I pulled on something in my attempt to stop the water from running and it broke off. It was a nightmare. The landlord was not home, but there was a note with emergency numbers. I called the plumber number. The man on the other end couldnt be more helpful. He knew the landlord and said he would send someone over immediately. He was not kidding. I swear, within 10 minutes the doorbell rang. Boy was I happy to see him. It took him less than 20 minutes to fix the problem. The "thing" I accidentally broke off was no big deal he said, it needed to be replaced anyway. Before he left he cleaned up everything, and he did it with a smile on his face. Really, he could not have been nicer. The landlord was going to be billed directly, no worries there either. Tbros is a class act, thats all I can say. Highly recommended! Oh, and the exhibition, absolutely phenomenal.

When I received the quote, I was pleased with their professionalism and willingness to answer all my questions. However, the quote didnt include an essential component of the job! Something that was VERY obvious if you knew anything about piping heating systems. Of course, once they fixed my part of the problem and I realized that there was more -- they said it was obvious that the piping was wrong. WHAT? So, you didnt see that the first time. Also, I was uncomfortable giving them my payment information because I didnt want them to process the payment without my approval -- Of course, they proved me right. They processed my final payment without approval so I wasnt able to hold them to the contract by holding the payment .... SUCKS! Now, I need to pay additional to fix the problem? I am going somewhere else ....

T bros is an excellent plumbing company. I run a busy maintenance department at a property management company. We have always had issues finding a good plumber to take service calls. We started using T bros a couple of months ago and our tenants could not be happier with the service they provide. We are constantly receiving high praise for their staff and professionalism. Im very happy w/Tbros. Our boiler set off the fire alarm on a weekend morning, it was cracked and a big mess - melted solder and everything. They came quickly to diagnose the problem, ordered a high-efficiency replacement, and did a beautiful job of re-installing it and re-plumbing with the correct pipes (cheap condo conversion the 80s had the wrong pipes for steam heat). Also, they went the extra mile for insurance adjuster.

My 5-star review is long overdue (I simply forgot). Tbros came out to our house in Boston and fixed our pipes which froze during that extreme cold snap in early march. We were trying to sell the house and we were not living there at the time it happened. Our broker discovered the leaks and he suggested calling Tbros. It was quite a mess (4 leaks) but Tbros took care of it. It was perfect. Thanks guys!.

Very sad to say that after hunting down someone to come talk to me about a remodel, they never showed up. Im a neighbor and want to support local business, but am so disappointed in their inability to return a phone call or even show up, I will tell others who are looking for plumbing help not to call these guys.

I live within a mile. I called with 3 days notice and waited home all morning. When I called they said they were running late, could not provide a time, didnt bother to call me, and didnt seem bothered that they could not send someone over in a 4 hour window. Would not recommend!!!

Great plumbing company! We had used them in the past, for smaller things and always to our satisfaction. So when we decided to remodel our bathroom we called them first and Im glad we did. Friendly people, courteous and clean. No complaints. The bathroom looks fantastic!

Horrid service. 2 trips (and bills) to do 1 job, and it failed. Made error of calling them again after they broke lots of pipes to fix a clog! NEVER do business with them if you value your home or money.
