Ive used Gentle Giant before and it was a smooth, happy experience. This time I found the movers to be on time, highly focused, friendly and hard working. Both the move out and the move in were seamless. A problem did develop because the estimate I was given was off by quite a bit. I talked it over several times with the customer representative and, after a week or so, they decided to roll back the charges. I was treated with courtesy the entire time, and needless to say extremely pleased by the companys decision. In addition, a piece that carried high emotional value for me was broken during the move. Fortunately it was a clean break; Gentle Giant immediately provided an expert restorer who came to my home and did the fix right there in a hour. This is a proud company with a deservedly high reputation.

This wasnt my first time using Gentle Giant, but this was the first time I didnt bother bidding any other companies. Consistent with my experience from 2002, Gentle Giant was great at every step. Responsive to my inquiry, helpful as I completed my inventory, very competitively priced (50% of Zillows estimate for the move), on-time, professional, courteous, and very careful with all of our worldly possessions. Everything was where I wanted it when we were done. They took apart and re-assembled furniture expertly, and there were some items they moved and I dont know how they managed to get it out of the old place and into the new without disassembly. I have highly recommended Gentle Giants to all of my friends, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to you! Very satisfied customer!

We hired a so called reliable & local moving company to move some furniture from my house to a storage facility temporarily for construction purposes. The mistake I made was pay to pay them in cash and when we were able to inspect the furniture when we got it home we knew it was damaged from that prior moving company. So, needless to say when I hired Gentle Giant to move my furniture back to the house, I could see how professional, courteous, caring and personable the crew was with all our furniture. They took the time to cover most of the valuable peices and very careful during the entire move. I cant say how happy my wife and I were with GG and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to any of my friends and relatives. They were great! Steve from Milford MA

Updated Review (8/1): The Company apologized for the delay, took full responsibility, and offered me a refund. They have some logistical issues to work out on the box supply side of the business, but once this is corrected, I would consider using them again based on their professional demeanor and sincere efforts to fix a mistake. Review Excerpt (7/31): This is for the moving box supply service Gentle Giant offers. I requested boxes on a Monday for delivery on Wednesday to pack for a weekend move. On Wednesday morning, I was told the driver called out sick, but that they will send the boxes via FedEx. Its a Friday afternoon at noon, less than 12 hours before my move, and I have no boxes.

Our most recent experience confirms everything we have experienced in the past with this company....straight talk from the moment they pick up the phone, a decent price, helping us organize the move day, punctuality and super communication and then there are the guys that do all the heavy lifting. The team takes great care of your valuable things and doesnt lollygag. Everyone on the team works together and responsibly to get you out and get you in as quickly as possible. Its the first and only call we have made for every move we have needed professional help with. Makes choosing a mover simple!

A professional, respectful and polite team of three moved my elderly mother from her long-tme home to a retirement community. The guys were wonderful to work with and made us all feel very comfortable and confident that the move would go smoothly - and it did! They carefully wrapped anything that would scratch or potentially get soiled. We were assigned a move coordinator who was always available to answer questions pre-move. He even called a few days ahead to make sure we were all set. Three cheers for Gentle Giant!! I highly recommend this company (we used the Somerville, MA team). If/when we move I will choose them without a doubt.

I had a fantastic experience with the men from Gentle Giant Moving Company. My move was local and nearby but still very emotional for me. The wonderful man who helped pack and move my things Where caring and thoughtful and tremendously helpful in the whole process. I couldnt have asked for better people in this transitional process to my new home. They also maintained their sense of good humor and patience as I continually changed my mind about where to place large pieces of furniture. The foreman was endlessly patient with me and in addition, had a fabulous sense of decor. I would use these same men anytime.!

Wonderful experience with Gentle Giant. From the moment I called, I dealt with very courteous and professional people and whenever I had a question, it was answered promptly. The total cost after the move was well under the low estimate quote I had received and this is due, Im sure, to the awesome movers we had. These guys never take a break and are efficient and respectful of both your belongings and you as their customer. They even took away some trash for us and happily disassembled some furniture that we hadnt beforehand. I would highly recommend using them and definitely will again if I need to in the future.

Our experience with Gentle Giant was wonderful. Not only did they move all our furniture and belongings, but they stored them for us for seven months, without any problems. Their move/load staff were extremely careful and efficient during the loading and unloading of our items. Their support staff quickly responded to any questions and were extremely helpful when information was requested. Jeremiah, Mark & Martynas were so Accomodating, Polite, Helpful, Patient Friendly and Personable...They carefully moved all my belongings carefully and wrapped all my fragile ones and made sure our family was completely taken care of at the end of the move. 5 stars all around. I am very happy with the moving service I received from Gentle Giant crew Mindaugas, Deividas & Gelmis from start to finish. I had a very old bedroom set that was refinished and over 50yrs old and very heavy that had to be removed from a 3rd floor house and many other pieces of furniture for my move. They were very professional, courteous and pleasant. I highly recommend them and I have recommend them to my realtor, family and friends I am totally amazed at their work ethics. The Best! Thank You!
