Future and existing customers: please be aware of the company pricing issues. I called them to look at my central A/C which stopped producing cold air. There were no issues with setting up the appointment and the technician came just on time. The price for the visit is $99 which is OK except why it has always to be $99? Why not just $100? It turned out that the issue was with the A/C outside unit – the run capacitor failed, a very common issue and easy to fix. Just replace the part and A/C runs fine again. The technician told me that he already replaced the capacitor and quoted $343 for it. And this is just for the part, the labor (15-30 minutes very easy job) – additional $91. The price for the part looked very suspicious to me and I googled the part - Turbo 200 Motor RUN Capacitor – and the price for it on Internet as between $50 and $65. Note: this is the most expensive capacitor as it is universal and can be configured for many applications and A/C unit types. So, the quoted price was 6 (!) times higher the market price. When I asked for less expensive, not universal part price the technician quoted me it for $199. Later I found out that the market price for such capacitor (Motor Dual Run Capacitor, 60/7.5 MFD, 440VAC) is between $10 and $30. I understand that each company pushes its profit up to the extent possible but trying to get it to 600-700% is totally outrageous. I refused to pay that much extra, ordered the part online and two days later installed it myself. The total repair cost is $30 vs quoted $434.

Id like to Thank everyone at HD Air for the awesome service you provided me and my family recently. From the receptionist answering the phone for the 1st time to the thank you fruit basket we received, HD Air has been top notch all the way! They (Steve) were the most thorough in taking the proper measurements for the free estimate consultation. All other estimates took 10 minutes or less. Steve was here for 90+ minutes answering all my questions without BSing me. The Mini-Split System installed was done very professionally by Joe and his electrician. They were very kind and just showed up and did their work. No smoke breaks, put little booties on their feet everytime they entered the house, cleaned up after themselves. The installation they did was great. My wife and I are very satisfied the work performed and would gladly recommend them to others. A week after the work was complete Sydney mailed all the proper paperwork for the rebates we were entitled to with places for our signatures and addresses to mail them onto. We look forward to working with HD Air in the future (but hopefully wont have to)!

David & Hurley does NOT "fix it the first time or its free" like their slogan says. I paid $74 for a guy to tell me I could hose off my AC unit or call to make an appt for a maintenance call. Mind you this is July in the middle of a heat wave. A maintenance call is another $150. If that doesnt work..a service call - $99. So remind me again when the "fix it or its free" part comes in? I was the last appt on a hot day...you dont have to be a genius to know the guy just didnt want to do more. Mind you they were an hour late. A different company came who Id highly recommend...said it had nothing to do with maintenance (after I hosed it off) and that it just needed to be charged. Dont waste your money or time with these people.

My wife and I spent hundreds on expensive service contracts for our boiler and central air. This spring we had Hurley and David install a brand new high efficiency central air system. When we first tried to use it yesterday, it did not work. They did not even test it when they installed it. Then with all the money spent on service contracts we called for a tech to come out and fix it last night and he refused because he was more than an hour away. This morning, trying to book a service call for today they said they were all booked up for today and wanted to wait until tomorrow, which I could not do. Their equipment and service is HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!

I put in a request for service now on a Sunday, didnt hear from anyone, called the service on Monday and told them had no hot water, boiler light out. I am a previous customer. I advised the very pleasant young lady that I have a 95yr old mother in the house and she said, I understand, we dont have anything until next Tuesday. What??? I wasnt offered anything after hours or as an emergency. If no hot water with a 95yr old mother in the house is not urgent, what is? So I declined "next Tuesday" and went to home advisor and got a reputable service that is rearranging his schedule to get me seen today. Sorry HD you just lost a client.

I am a loyal customer for 10 years and used to receive personal care. They used to send out cards or call the customer to clean their furnaces. This has not happened in the last few years. When I spoke with the receptionist today to make my appointment I mentioned this and was told that the company is too large now and cant do it. She had an attitude about it which I did not appreciate. I use to like doing business with this company, but now I think I will start looking for another company that cares about the customer. Also, my son needed a new furnace and this company gave him an outrageous price.

Worst service ever, called them and scheduled an emergency appointment at night. 30 minutes goes by, no call, no one shows up. I call them back and they refuse to figure out where the service technician is, they will only take a message and I would have to wait for a call back. Then the lady on the phone hangs up in my face. Call back, again they refuse to help in any way or give me any info on an ETA. So i cancelled and went with another service. Worst customer service ever. They have zero empathy and the people working the phones are the worst.

Hurley and David is an excellent company in a time where many companies are cutting corners and letting money / time dictate their quality. Their technician Luis Cruz is top notch and he went way above and beyond any service weve had from any business lately. I would recommend this company over any other HVAC company in this area. They not only have a great reputation, but they have the technical skill sets to back it up. Plus they are not pushy, trying to force sell you a new system like other companies often do.

Do not believe them when they say 24hr emergency service. Called at 11pm about a faulty pilot light twice to ensure someone was coming. Tech called said he could be there at 2am or someone could be there first thing in the morning. I agreed to the first appointment in the morning and guess what? Nobody showed! Called them a third time and was told no call order was scheduled and none was available for a week, due to their payment club plan members getting priority. Thanks for the nothing Hurley and David.
