I dont even know where to begin with this gym! DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! After my visit here yesterday, I cancelled my account right away! I have been working out at this gym for a year now and was already on the verge of cancelling my account after the countless machines breaking down and not being fixed, unsanitary machines (nobody even bothers wiping down their machines before or after use and I have yet to see an employee clean a machine!), hot tub always being filled with all men making it extremely uncomfortable for women as they stare you down the entire time. The last push for me was bringing my sister in for a 2 week free membership and being completely HARRASSED by a sales guy (Blake) within seconds of sitting down with him to go over their promotional sales. We sat down and he asked her minimum 2 "goals" that brought her to the gym. After the second question, he asked "so are you going to sign up or not?" My sister insisted on trying the place out before she considered it and word for word this was his response..."If you arent going to sign up then why would I give you a free pass to work out here? I am only going to give you a one week pass and you can only use the cardio equipment." He then turns around to the punk a** guy sitting behind him and says "she came in for a free pass, I shouldnt even let her have one week should I? She isnt signing up today." Lets just say "Blake" seen an ugly side to me and so did their "manager" who did eventually pull the guy aside and have a talk with him but insisted we could not use the pool if my sister didnt sign up! When signing up they sell you a package and assure you that you could bring in people to try out the gym for free for two weeks with classes and pool included! I have had two others sign up after they used their free pass with me! To say the least, I would rate this place a 0 if I could. I have never seen such immature, unprofessional, filthy workers in my life!!!! Save yourself the hassle!

This is a very good gym in a nice location. The janitorial staff and the staff in general are pleasant people who make you feel welcome. I particularly enjoy the wide variety of free weights that they have to pick from as well as the weight machines that correspond with each muscle group. The facility has excellent additional options for those who may want to partake in something other than the typical cardio/weights workout routine. The gym comes with a cycling room, several handball courts, a basketball court, sauna, and a swimming pool and hot tub. One of the best things that I enjoy about the gym is the juice/smoothie bar. It is very well equipped with whatever a casual/hardcore exerciser would need to get ready for a workout or to recover after a workout. The gym is not perfect however, at times it can be very crowded particularly early in the week after a typical work day. However, if you are serious about your workout there is usually always a substitute machine. At times there can be multiple machines that are down or out of order and that can be annoying if you are looking forward to a particular workout or exercise. As I stated earlier the gym is not perfect but it does not warrant some of these reviews that I have been seeing. Especially comments left by those saying that the gym is filled with Arabs and its dirty. Those blatantly ignorant remarks are the works of those uncomfortable with themselves and their own insecurities. If you are in the area and are looking for a gym come in and check it out and make your own decision.

If youre a woman dont go here. I dont go to the gym to be harassed and cat called by nasty men. The same men monopolize the hot tub and stare women down and harass women they think are good looking. Its the same Arabic men in there every time i go. They sit on the edge on the hot tub and intimidate women that come in. I heard them say the same stuff to another woman so its not just me that theyve harassed. I brought it up to a manager and nothing was done about it. Members should not feel intimated by other members. They need to take care of problematic members that are just messing around and not actually there to work out. Those same men were not actually using the pool area to work out and used it more like a hang out. I pay to actually work out and stay fit, not to put up with men being ass holes. Also, the staff is very harassing about signing up. I was given an attitude by a personal trainer at this location because i didnt want to spend an extra $200 on top of the gyms already high membership rates. I get they work on commission but having an attitude isnt gong to make me sign up for something i clearly stated i was not interested in. The staff needs to work on keeping the gym clean. Weights were all over the floor and noone wiped down any machines after they used them. Staff needs to wipe machines or say something to those who dont have proper etiquette. Theres a lot of people that go to this gym that slam weights down when working out, act all "macho" and are in general inconsiderate.

Professional integrity is not their mission. I went in with a three day pass to try out the gym, was directed by the associates at the counter to someone in the cubicle area. After having this girl basically waste an hour of my time, a good 15 minutes of which was a high-pressure sales pitch, she finally agreed to let me work out on the three day pass if I gave her my credit card info so she could run it after I tried the facility for a few days. She acted almost taken aback when I didnt want to sign up right away, even though I had a three day pass. Why would I pay up front when I can use a three day pass first to see how I like it? She was like "Its a gym, whats there to try?". I thought that was interesting since THATS THE POINT A TRIAL PERIOD. She said she would call me to verify my decision to become a member, however on Friday that call never came. Now, on Sunday, Im looking at my credit card statement and I see a charge for LA Fitness in Allen Park. As for the club itself, it was far too crowded. Add to the lack of overcrowding a lack of sanitary wipes or spray, and it adds an element of grime Im just not willing to pay $30/month for. Though they do have a massive rack of dumbbells, so many of them were missing from the rack or were in the wrong place that it was a hassle finding what I wanted, especially for drop sets. No sit-down style preacher curl bench, only standing. No running track.

LA Fitness is a good club in general and also recommended however this specific club in Allen Park has very bad supervisor, he will give you smiley face before your put your money to register. my friend had registered there and for the first time he brought me today as a guest, they call that supervisor and he make it like military check point,(where do u stay, for how long, where u come from!) its not your fucken business to treat me based on where i cam from!!! he rejected the valid student ID that we showed and start to ask for official documents that takes ages to bring him and were saying go back home to bring them just looking for any reason to not let us enter the gym, what the hill! why should drive back all the way! and then he said if i let you enter now for one time only and not 3,and i dont want to see you here again in 6 month!!!!! is this the way you treat your client !!!! so impolite! i wonder how he manage to get this job in to deal directly with clients, he is a sham on LA fitness dont west your money in the Allen Park one, sooner or later you will face some impolite incident with that supervisor, just go to other LA fitness or any other nearby gym
