I was very disappointed with their customer service which was surprising after reading all of these very positive reviews! Right when I walked in the door there were 4 guys hovered over the counter and no one even welcomed me or said a thing. They were busy reading jokes and eating breakfast. Finally one of them handed me a paper to fill out. I filled it out and the guy said Ill need the keys I gave them to him and that was that. I asked how long it usually took for an oil change. He said normally 40 minutes. I asked if they could call me when they were finished and he said yeah they can do that. I had my 1 year old daughter with me so we decided to walk around, went to Kmart, park and back. We were gone for an hour and no call. I decided to walk back and saw that it was out of the garage, finished and they never called me. I get in there and said hi. No one said anything, I was the only person in the place and 2 men at the counter, one making one call after another and one staring outside. Again no one saying Ill be right with you or anything like that. I stood there for awhile and finally I ask the man who is staring out window if they were all finished with it then. He said Yeah and proceeded to stare at the window then my daughter started fussing and he storms out fast to get another man. That man comes back and types stuff on the computer all angry huffing and puffing and says nothing to me again.5 minutes of him typing he says the price. I pay him and he mumbles while looking down that it may be smoking now and its burning oil to watch the gauge. They may be good mechanics, I dont really know, but their people skills suck! Lots of room to improve!

I took a car there on recommendation by a coworker of mine who said that Charlie was one of the best mechanics in town. Im glad I listened. Theyve always done exactly what theyve said theyd do, and their prices seem to be more reasonable than some of the other shops in the area (In the State of MI, I believe the time for a given job is standardized, so they all have the same time quote, all that changes is a particular shops hourly rate) In any case, theyve never pressured me to add on services, though they do mention things when they call you back with their estimate, its always low pressure, and things are prioritized like other reviewers have mentioned. 1. Safety issues 2. Should be done soon 3. Could be done but not necessary now. They also have no problem with you bringing your own parts in (which can save you from the shops markup.) I wanted an American made bearing rather than the import versions that they could get from their supplier so I brought one in (one made in MI to boot!) and they didnt even blink. I tend to be a very loyal customer and before I "discovered" Midas I was with another local shop for 10 years or so before there was enough turnover that I wasnt getting the service that I started with. Ive now been taking cars to this Midas for about two years and I hope to stick with them for many more.

After taking my vehicle to a local repair shop that charged me around $250 to try to repair my leaking power steering fluid, I was told replacing the power steering line didnt solve the problem and that I needed a new rack and pinion. I decided to take my van here to see if they had a different opinion. At first they agreed that was probably it, but after looking at it they called me back and said "Who just replaced your power steering line?" After telling them they laughed and said they left a piece of plastic over the pump preventing the fluid from getting through. They could have easily ripped me off and didnt, they did find a leak in an old line and replaced it, only after they took me into the repair bay and showed me the crack. I had a long talk with the manager there and he was the coolest repair guy ever. Said he has no need to rip people off because they get enough business and it makes him sleep well at night. He also said he may not be the absolute cheapest in town, but that hes definitely the best. I completely trust them with my vehicle and had a great experience here.

My husband took our vehicle there to get a simple oil change. The car was sitting in the parking lot for two hours before my husband finally asked when the work would be started. They apologized and told him the work would be free and they would get started right away. Another hour passed, and the assistant manager said, "Ok, that will be $27." My husband told him that he was told the work would be free, and the wait time would be 30 minutes. The assist. manager told him he doesnt give free oil changes. He argued with my husband, acting like it was was my husbands fault that he shouldnt ask for free work, even though he was told it would be. After waiting there THREE hours for an oil change that would not have started unless he had asked! I am very disappointed. I have worked in dealerships before and I understand the wait times service requires, however I feel he was treated unfairly. Not coming back, ever.

These guys are great and have earned my trust. Ive taken my vehicles to this Midas numerous times and have never been disappointed. Sometimes theyre very busy and Ive had to wait, but its well worth it. Several years ago, I had taken my SUV to a competitor for brakes. The competitor wanted to charge me almost $900. When I took it to Midas, they performed all the brake work for less than $300 with a guarantee. Ive since returned numerous times and have not been disappointed. Last time I was quoted $120 for a brake line, but was also told it would be $170 more if there was a problem bleeding the brakes, worst case scenario. I told them to go ahead and when I picked up my car, it was the lower quote of $120. Theyve always been friendly and professional but even if they failed to welcome me as I walked through the door, that isnt my concern. Whats most important is that the service is honest!

I actually came to this Midas when my muffler was dragging. I stopped in there, and they noticed it was just a bracket. They fixed it, no charge. That was 8 years ago. I am still a loyal customer. First and foremost, they are honest. Not only do I take my personal vehicle in there, I also take my sons car and my work truck. I have always been treated with respect (and a lot of times mechanics treat women like crap), they have always given me the best option for work to be done, if all parts are available locally, the work is done in a timely manner. I have never walked away feeling ripped off, treated unkindly, or disappointed. I would recommend these great, experienced guys to anyone. I will be a lifetime customer. Thank you, Jim for your kindness to me and my son.
