What a nightmare! I ordered a wheel for my Ford explorer. I made it clear that I got a "used" one on eBay that did not work. Chris promised a quality experience. After three days of no response, I contacted Chris. He said he did not order the part b/c he needed a deposit. That would have been nice to know. I gave my credit card info and he ordered. When that part arrived, I asked when I could get it installed. He said, "anytime before 3pm and we are closed on weekends." Really??? Do they expect people to take the day off work to get parts installed? I set up a date for my next day off. When I arrived, Chris ignored me for almost 10 minutes while I stood right in front of him. He was on the phone. Other sales reps interceded. When Chris was available, he said they would have it installed in less than an hour. No worries. After waiting for 40 minutes in the lounge and no one even coming to talk to me, I went back to the desk. I told them I had an appt. and needed to get out of there in 15-20 minutes. Chris checked with service and said, "Sorry, but, that is too tight." I asked to just take the wheel and install it myself. When I went to get it from the warehouse, it was visibly scratched and had corrosion on the inside just like my faulty one (and the one I got on eBay). I was furious. I went to talk to Chris and he denied ever discussing my not wanting a used tire. I demanded my money back and left after wasting over an hour and a half! Stay away!

When we originally contacted Fox Auto, we were search for an extremely difficult part to find at your typical auto parts store. My Fiance talked with Brandon, who located the part for us and said it needed to be shipped, but it was a wonderful price. Brandon said that if it was ordered before Noon on Monday it would be in by lunch time on Tuesday. My Aunt called and paid for the part in full and re-verified that if she paid Monday that it would be in by the next day. Brandon assured he that it would be in and if there were going to be any problems he would contact her. Tuesday came and my Fiance was not contacted by Brandon, he had to call him to find out that the part did not get shipped like he said it would be. Its a shame that My Aunts car is now down for a 4th day due to this part and the fact that Brandon did not relay the information properly in regards to the shipping. Dont make promises you can not keep. ** UPDATE - I want to thank everyone at Fox Auto for fixing the issues and having the right part when my Fiance came to pick it up. My Aunts car is now up and running. Thank you also for everyones attentive response to the original review.

Ive been coming here ever since I bought my 2004 Dodge Durango about a year and a half ago and I must say that Fox is the best place to go for any repairs. Theyve taken excellent care of my vehicle from tires to engine coolant systems and even just regular check ups. Anytime Im in I always talk to Eric Fergeson, the most straightforward, honest, and knowledgeable service specialist Ive met. Ive been around the Ann Arbor and Ypsi area looking for the best deals because Im in college and not rolling in cash to put towards car repairs but if your looking for exceptional prices on parts and labor, Id recommend taking your vehicle here. As someone whos not really knowledgeable on cars Ive never felt taken advantage of when I take my car in for a repair or inspection. Honesty and quality all around. Keep it up!

I went to Fox auto to have my car checked out because I was loosing coolent and I was still under 50/50 warranty so I figured I would get it pressure tested. In the the mean time they lended me the customary car a pimped out red leather Saturn ion. Well Im driving this nice car then I get a phone call. Hi is this Jon your car is done it had a bad radiator and the thermostat house needed to be replace by the way did you hear squeaking we replaced the serpentine belt its normally $1000 now its $500 because the warranty. So I called around and $550 is the going price so half off anywhere else would have been $275. I thank God for that 50/50 warenty but I also thank him I didnt ask him to check the tire pressure because that might have been another $200 lol.

Hello, I needed an automatic transmission for my "Ruby", my 98 Mark VIII Collectors Edition Lincoln, and was referred to Fox by a coworker at my Ford Motor Company engine department. Fox not only had the correct one, clean as could be, on the shelf, but had a competitive price and a warranty also. Unheard of to include labor guarantee, should the trans not be good for the standard six months. I was impressed with David, my contact at Fox, and bought, installed, and now enjoy my summer ride with a Fox transmission! I will be a Fox customer for a long time ! Thank you ! Dale A. Entry fee increased to $2 from $1, and you never know if you will find your parts youre looking for. I do not mind paying $5 knowing that I will get my parts, but playing Russian Roulette is not my ticket. They should at least have an inventory list. You have to pay to go and look and if youre lucky you will find the part youre looking for. The clerks were friendly but that doesnt help nor do their cheap prices if the parts are not available and you waste time searching for the cars in their yard. Yes you do get a list where the cars can be found in their yard, but they are spread out everywhere.

My dad called fox and confirmed that they had an undamaged rim for my car. He needed to make sure since he had an hour and a half drive there. The man on the phone confirmed that it was great quality and would set it at the front desk for him. My dad drove there only to find out that there was a crack in the rim and could not buy it!! They had his number, at any moment they could have called and apologized and explained that there was a crack, but they didnt. I will never consider them for anything to do with my vehicles again.
