I dropped off a vintage Red Wings sweater (needed to be drycleaned) to Dryclean Depot and it was wet cleaned instead of dry cleaned as I had explicitly asked. I spoke to Oscar, he is their asst. mgr and he was exceptionally condescending and stated "what do you want me to do about it? It was wet cleaned and probably damaged in our machine but you have to speak to the owner". I went back and spoke to Mark (owner) he stated that item needed to be sent out to a company to be analyzed and if found to be their damage he would replace the sweater. My husband and I were leary of this because the analyzation company works in the best interest of the dry cleaner, but we were assured that this was not the case and most (70%) of the claims came back in favor of the customer. We sent it out were told it would take two weeks but should be much sooner, it took almost 3 weeks and me having to call more than once to see what was going on. Suprise, surprise when the garment came back it was stated that there may have been insect damage but it was hard to tell, however the dry cleaning company was urged to repair the item for us. We told Mark that we would only accept a new sweater because this item was given to my husbands father and then when he passed away it was given to my husband. The item has only been worn 3 times (once when my father in law received it - for about 10 min., and then my husband wore it 1 evening in October 2011 and again once the first weekend of January 2012). The item may be 10 yrs old however it was in pristine condition having been kept in a garment bag and handled with the utmost care due to the sentimental nature of the item. The company that made this sweater has since stopped but they are willing to make a new one for us due to what has happened, but we feel that Dry Clean Depot is responsible to replace the item. Mark, while he is very nice and tried to help us to some level, he will only repair the item or give us 20% towards the $400 cost of replacing the sweater. Repairing the sweater will make those areas weak and brittle and that is not a chance we are willing to take, besides it was in perfect condition when dropped off (we have pictures showing the condition just three days before bringing it to dryclean depot) and it should be replaced. We are only asking that the sweater be replaced (the patch on the sweater is something that even the original company can not replicate so we have agreed to assume the cost of that). I do not think this is an unreasonable request and due to the circumstances the item is irreplaceable and can never be the same because my father in law is now gone and it will be a different sweater, but the principle is why we can not let this go. We have filed a complaint with the BBB, and in the process have learned that this company is not BBB accredited, we have also filed a small claim against this company as well.

My BBB complain... which by the way the customer replied very rudly towards and was not willing to compromise whatsoever: Took an evening dress to be dry cleaned 2 months ago, came back to pick it up and the dress had snags (dress had been only worn once, receipt can prove that date of purchase was a short while before taken to the dry clean depot) and dress buckle was broken. Notified manager, manager stated he will see about getting snags fixed. Notified him if he can fix snags I will buy a new buckle. Did not receive a call back. Called Dry clean depot to check on status and was notified dress ready for pickup. Arrived there and dress was still damaged. Contacted manager and he stated that dress said "dry clean only" and that that he dry cleaned it. Manager is claiming that dress had snags because it was worn several times. Again, receipt proves otherwise. Manager will not provide reimbursement for dress but claims that dress should be taken back to place it was purchased. This is the second dress I have taken to this location and the exact same thing happened to the other dress and the same claims were made that its the manufacturing companys faults. Both dresses were only worn once. Dress cost is $80 and Im asking to be reimbursed for it as the dress is no longer wearable.

The short of it is they ruin clothes, make false promises and dont care about your clothing. They will be out of business soon. We brought them a number of articles. Which they apparently never looked at before giving them back. If they had any quality control they would seen the massive yellowed stain across the back of the dress. They made the same promises to me that they made to others, "we can fix it." They did not fix the problem or notify us as they claimed they would. Finally a week later my wife stopped by and they admitted they couldnt fix the dress but that they manager would be in tomorrow and he would be able to provide compensation for the damages, he would be calling. Another week went past and still no phone call. I finally stopped by and was informed that the dress ruined itself by bleeding (even though it was previously laundered), and that it was worthless.

Took my suit in to get cleaned 3 days before I needed it for an event. It came back dirter then I sent it. I asked them to get it recleaned as soon as possible, they told me it would not be cleaned in time for my event even thou they had a full 24 hours to get it done. So I asked them for a full refund since they were unable to clean the suit. They declined, management basicly blaming me for not being able to clean my suit. The manager named Arnold claimed it was my fault for not explaining which of the stains i wanted clean. I explained to him it didnt have all these stains when i sent it in.... and he should have made sure ALL the stains were cleaned off before I recieved it. ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HAD.

This was absolutely terrible - they completely ruined several of my husbands shirts and we had to go buy new shirts after coming back from the drycleaner. The shirts were literally tattered - someone must have scrubbed too hard... there was almost no one in the place and the people that were in there were almost all new. When my husband showed her the tattered shirt, (the manager) she said that it must have just been an old shirt. He had to show her the other sleeve which was not tattered to prove to her that this was not an old shirt. (The shirt was bought this year and was brand new). We spent 80 dollars buying 2 new shirts. The other 6 shirts he submitted were not irreparable but looked like they had not been cleaned at all.

You lost two customers: my wife and I. A year ago I lost a shirt you swapped with an oversided polyester shirt that was not mine. This year I learned if you DO NOT unbutton all your shirt buttons, I would get a few buttons just cut right off with the four threaded areas still in tact. My tailor told be these were just cut off. Now this year another shirt was swapped for another shirt from the disco era. My wife was a victim of the same with slacks. After three swapped garments and several buttons severed, I had enough. I recommend NOT going based on price alone as you risk the loss of shirts and having to make another trip to the tailor to have numerous buttons sewn back on that someone cut off. BEWARE!!
