To be frank, I wouldnt even want to give a one star to Seven, the hair salon, because of exceptionally bad experiences that almost all the dozens of people staying in Fairlane Meadows and Woods have had there. For most of the international students at university of Michigan in dearborn, this is the closest hair salon that one could find and as it is situated in between the shopping center, one might want to go there. First impression of the site was good, with people speaking arabic and there was Buddhist statue smartly placed everywhere. It looked like a true international location. The male barber quickly pointing at a small kid ordered him to come to the seat and he was told if he didnt obey the order, he would be scolded by his parents. I thought, this barber personally knows that kid, and no one else would face the same derogatory connotation, but I was not right. My number came at 7 PM and I was quickly ordered in the same commanding voice to take the seat. I told the barber that I want to have a middle sized hair cut, but it seem that the barber was not interested in what we want, but rather impose his choices on others. He quickly removed 80% of the hair using a trimmer and used scissors for next 2 minutes to cover the tragedy. I was shocked. His usage of blade to shape the hair was blunt and rough. Then without even asking the permission, he imposed and put the wax on hair, before even one could say anything. 5 minutes the hair cut is done. The shop that says would open till 8 PM, was quickly closed at 7. I gave the man a tip of $5, because he looked at me as if Im doing some crime, not tipping him for this treatment. I also gave him this money, because in my heart I knew that I wouldnt be going back there. I checked with other people, and almost dozen of people from the same university, who went there, in stead of their requirements, were given the same hair cut. It seems this guy only knows of one way. I personally wouldnt recommend such brash and insensitive place. I personally wouldnt go there. Even giving myself a hair cut seems like a better choice. However, all of these comments may or may not hold true for the women hair dressing; its just the men hair dressing that has been bad, because of that particular barber.

Worst haircut of my life ! I had an interview in a couple of days and wanted to get a trimmed look, so decided I would try "Seven - The Hair Salon". I showed a picture of a hairstyle and told the stylist (Male) to trim the way it was in the picture. I also told him about the interview and asked him to be a bit careful & not cut too short ! One minute into the haircut and there it was, a big patch (2 inches) of bald area on the right (just above the ear). I was disgusted. While he continued cutting my hair as if nothing had happened just to cover the mess he had done, I stopped him and showed the patch and asked him why on Earth he did that, especially after all the things I told him at the beginning ! His attitude and response was outrageous! "Do you think I did that ? No No, you dont have hair in that region at all. Havent you observed during your previous haircuts ?" This was what he had to say ! I was like, WTF ! He was telling as if it was my first haircut. Wouldnt I know it before if I had a bald area there and wont I tell him to be extra careful while trimming that area ? I could see him in the eyes that he was guilty, but he kept on arguing and tried to convince me that it was not his fault. He also said he was in the business for over 17 years ! Maybe he is overconfident, and thats what led to the mess. I cant comment on womens haircut or women hairstylists, but for all those men planning to visit this salon and getting a haircut from him, kindly reconsider. If Google reviews had an option of posting a picture, I would have definitely uploaded a pic of the mess he did ! Also, I would give a negative rating if it existed ! Maybe Google should come out of these features.

The owner had a serious attitude problem. When I went back the following day to have her fix my color (which she did not let me choose) she got upset. When I asked her if I can actually look at hair colors so that there is no confusion she became even more upset. Since I am paying for the service, and since its my hair, and since we already had one screw up, isnt this a reasonable request? I would recommend European Salon instead.

Used to go to Aveda off Michigan Ave, but switched to Studio Seven. Better prices, and more convenient location. Ask for Rosie! She is the reason why I switched in the first place from my old Salon of 2 years. Fast,friendly and gives you exactly what you want!

I have been going to June and Niran there for many years. They are the best and so is their lovely staff. Very friendly and professional and Im very pleased with their hair cuts and hair colors. I never leave there unhappy. Thanks a lot Salon Seven

I figured out that in holidays they give a lot of appointments while they have very few staff those days. Once I cut their tip because I had to wait for more than 1 hour, and the manager was giving me that angry look when I was leaving the saloon!

June still has her touch in haircuts. I love , love my short and sassy hair cut. I would recommend this place if you want something edgy, new, and up coming. June is the person to go to. Thank you sooo much.
