I came to Rootz Salon frustrated because no other hairdresser Id ever had understood that "I just want the ends cut off, no length taken of" means DO NOT TAKE LENGTH OFF OF MY HAIR!! Id tried for years to find someone trustworthy and consistent who could just trim off the dead ends of my naturally curly hair (that I keep very long) and leave it alone. After going through several stylists, I met Tina and Ive been letting her cut my hair ever since. Shes always friendly, remembers what I want, and unlike my previous stylists, has never screwed up. Where my previous stylists would give me bangs when I didnt ask for them (I grew mine out and would leave after an hour long haircut with angled bangs that I didnt want and never asked for), Tina knows what to do and does it constantly and in a much timelier manner than any other stylist. I can always get in to see her when I need to, and she does a consistent job, which is very important to me. Id recommend Rootz to anyone who doesnt have time to mess around with their hair and who needs someone who actually listens to you, because after all, its YOUR hair and you should do what you want with it! Go and see Tina, or any of the other Rootz stylists and you wont be disappointed.

I have been looking for a salon closer to my home. I researched online, and I found Rootz. This salon is GREAT! Shirley did an amazing job on my hair!! She also told me not to use a brush to detangle my hair when wet because it will give me flyaways (something NO ONE has EVER told me in my 30 some years of getting my hair cut!) I always thought my hair was just frizzy.....not damaged! I have taken her advice, and love the results I am already seeing! I will definately be back. This was a great salon with great prices! I found a few salons closer, but the prices were ridiculous! Thank you again for you great service. I also loved the ability to take my daughters with me when I got my hair cut. I have been to several salons that didnt allow children unless they were getting a service themselves! Saved me money again by not having to get a babysitter!

What can you say about Rootz and Heather? Well, let’s just say AMAZING!! I have been going to Rootz since they opened. I walked in one day just for a quick haircut and I have gone no place else since. Heather always finds time to squeeze me in to get my hair cut. I am bad with waiting to the last minute to get it cut. She takes the time to cut my hair, not just use clippers. I know when she is finished I will have a great looking cut. Everyone that works there does a great job I really cannot say I have ever heard anything negative about their work. So, If you are a guy, or a girl, that needs a GREAT place to get their hair done give Rootz a call.

I have been trying to find a salon to call home since I moved to the area about 5 years ago. Im not that picky but just couldnt find someone I clicked with. I decided to give Rootz a try and scheduled an appointment with Tina. Everything was wonderful from the moment I walked in. The color had a strange pattern in the back when it turned out but Tina fixed it great! She even took some money off of the charge (which she didnt have to do because the price was more than reasonable as it was). A great, relaxed atmosphere and experience. I will definitely be back!

I commute to Dundee from Ann Arbor to go to Rootz Hair Salon. Karynn and staff are always so welcoming and easy to talk to during my rather long appointments (I have long hair and usually come in for a full foil highlight and cut). Also, the prices are extremely reasonable. The staff are friendly on the phone and great at scheduling me in during times that work best for my schedule. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent quality hair salon, friendly staff, and unbeatable prices!

I was in town on business and really needed to get my hair cut. I am always reluctant to go to somebody new. I was impressed with all the good/great reviews so I thought I would try it. When I walked in Kristine was very friendly and had time to cut my hair right then. She did an excellent job cutting my hair and I felt really comfortable being there. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back when Im in town again. Thank you Rootz!!!!

Heather and her staff at Rootz Salon are always so courteous and professional. Heather has been cutting my hair now for over a year and I wouldnt think to go to anyone else. She knows my hair and always take the time to listen to what you want. The prices at Rootz salon are far better than any other salon around. I am so glad I found Heather and Rootz!

I read the reviews of this salon and decided to give it a shot. So glad I did! Prices are awesome compared to what I was used to at other salons and the stylists are just as good if not better! Ive had my hair cut by three of the staff members and was satisfied every time. Will definitely continue to visit Rootz salon!

I went to Rootz for the first time this past November to get an updo for the military ball. I had a wonderful experience and I LOVED my hair. It turned out perfectly and it lasted all night. I recommend them anyone and Im planning on making it my permanent place to go for all my hair needs.
