I pulled into the parking lot at 6:59pm. After getting out of my vehicle, gathering my item that required cleaning, I got to the door of Troy Cleaners and it was locked. The clerk just on the other side wagged her finger and mouthed the word "closed". When did customer service die? Obviously a petty functionary with no interest in the success of the business. Normally Id understand if it were a restaurant or a store where you peruse about, lingering while the staff wishes to go home. No, a dry cleaner where all that needs to be done takes 1-2 minutes. I give an article of clothing, it gets tagged, hung up for cleaning and I receive a slip with an estimated date of completion. Im not usually predisposed to gripe about such things, but I treked out in the nasty weather sick with a low-grade fever, across town to get something cleaned that I need for the following week. Bottom line. When someone comes to your door a minute or two past the closing time, and youre standing there; do the owners and investors a favor... Show a little compassion and let them in. It only takes a minute or two to do a kindness and increase the good name of a business in the community. While it only takes a second to ruin it. I give two stars. One for the hope that service will improve. Two for compassion. Good day.
