Hands down this is a great box to be apart of. Im a newbie to the crossfit world. Prior to starting crossfit my exercise routine included running, group aerobic exercises, spin classes, and working with a personal trainer. Moving forward I heard a lot about crossfit through co-workers and acquaintances. I reached out to Friction CrossFit through their website (email). A short while later Jeff B. (coach/co-owner) replied and set me up to come in the following week for a free trial (one week free trial to be exact). My first day at Friction CrossFit, I was greeted by Coach Bobby, co-owner. Along with a group of awesome men and women. I was a bit nervous and didnt know what to expect. The first work out left me sore for days, but in a good way. The coaches make sure the moves are being performed correctly. Ive mainly worked with Coach Bobby(co-owner). He is very patient, explains,and demonstrates the moves. Bobby puts a lot of emphasis on form and will scale your workouts according to your ability. He makes sure you have the technique mastered before moving on to heavy/heavier weight. It has been one month since I starting crossfit. Ive learned a lot in such a short time. I still have a lot of work to do. The atmosphere at Friction CrossFit is very warm and inviting. Everyone supports one another and cheers each other through workouts. I enjoy the camaraderie amongst all the members. Friction CrossFit is a great facility with a skilled, knowledgeable, and engaging coaching staff. A big thanks to the coaches (Bobby, Jeff, and Mike). You guys are kind of a big deal!!

I have played sports most of my life, but after high school that changed. I had to workout without the motivation of a coach pushing me, which is what i was used to. My workouts on my own were never as beneficial as the cardio and strength training I got from playing a sport. That is why I decided to give personal training a shot and how I met Bobby, (Friction coach/co-owner). Bobby definitely pushed me during our workouts, and little did I know I was doing Crossfit moves without even knowing what crossfit was! When I heard that he was starting Friction Crossfit, I knew I had to check it out. I was not familiar with crossfit before this and decided to buy a groupon first to make sure I liked it. Best decision ever! I already knew some of the skills and what I didnt know the coaches (Bobby and Jeff) were there every step of the way to make sure that form was the most important and then accomplishing the skill. There has not been one crossfit class that I have not enjoyed because it is fun and you are pushing yourself more than you would if you worked out alone! Each class has a maximum of 10 people so it stays small enough for one on one instruction when you need it. Making friends was easy because its such a supportive community! I have noticed not only an improvement in my appearance, but also my strength. Crossfit is similar to a sport for me because it takes hardwork, patience, and dedication, which is what I have always loved. Plus it beats running on a treadmill any day :) Great coaches, great environment, check it out!

I was a three sport athlete in high school and played two sports in college as well. After not being able to continue, I kept working out on my own. But after a few years, my workouts became stale and I needed something to change it up, and CrossFit will definitely do that. Ive been a member at Friction CrossFit for 5 months now and Im in the best shape of my life, even better than high school. The coaches (Bobby, Jeff and now Mike) are all knowledgeable about how to coach different types of people, from the fitness enthusiast to every day couch potato. They have a new facility as of December 2014, stocked with top of the line equipment. The community is very diverse and friendly, so you will never feel intimidated when you walk in. The smaller class sizes at Friction ensure that the coaches are able to give you the attention you need when learning new exercises to ensure youre doing them right/safe or if you need pointers on your form. The workouts are always challenging and will leave you gasping for air, but wanting to come back for more. I look forward to coming to Friction everyday because of the coaches and the community. Overall, its a great box!

Ive never enjoyed physical activity. Running was about the only thing I could force myself to do and that got boring fast. Crossfit has been the first exercise that I dont dread doing. In fact I actually look forward to each workout. Its fun, many varied, and I see results! When I say I see results, I am referring to my muscle tone as well as my physical capabilities. Progress becomes addicting. The coaches are dedicated and the community is friendly with no judgement. The coaches are the coolest. They are probably the main reason I have been able to look forward coming in and enjoying working out. They are patient and quick to critique your form when it needs it so you get optimal performance. Not to mention they are just very easy going, decent people. They know their stuff and you cant help but trust them because their directions give great results. I highly recommend Friction Crossfit. No matter what physical level you are at you will fit in and not feel intimidated. Its a good community here. Try it!

In the past I have been skeptical of cross fit because of the injuries we have seen in our office. My wife and I are both Chiropractors and from the very first day of meeting the team at Friction it was very clear that safety and technique was a priority! We love the instructors as well as the philosophy behind the workouts and the attention to detail. We also were looking for a gym that we could feel 100% confident in recommending to our office community and we found it with Friction. If you are looking for a cross fit gym utilize their introductory special and see if its the right place for you.

Friction CrossFit is a great community. The coaches are the most knowledgeable coaches I have met and not only do a great job teaching the movements but they also make sure you can master them. They are also extremely helpful in developing progressions so that you can eventually master a movement. I also noticed significant improvements since I joined Friction CrossFit. The WODs are always challenging and very well designed. I enjoy every day I go to Friction CrossFit and cannot recommend it enough to anyone who is considering crossfit or even just starting a healthier lifestyle.

I love everything about this gym!!! The coaches are amazing, they meet you where you are at and push you to find your best. The community here is just as amazing. The best part about this gym is the other folks who work out here. Nobody is here to show off, they are here to work hard and encourage others while doing so. I feel so much stronger and love the new goals I keep making and achieving since starting here several months ago. I would recommend this gym to anybody regardless of fitness level, come have fun with us!

Ive known about CrossFit for 4-5 years but was too intimidated to try it out because of what I assumed the workouts and environment were like. Back in April, though, a friend convinced me to walk through the doors of Friction for a workout and I couldnt be happier that I decided to give it a chance! I went through the Foundations course, jumped into regular classes, and have been working out there ever since. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and welcoming, and I love being a member of this awesome community!
