I made an attempt to pay a sub-account under my sisters account with this Planet Fitness. She walked into the organization with my credit card and the representative would not add the card to the account. She stated that "it is our policy to have the routing & account number". I informed her that my mothers account is a sub-account under my sisters name with a different card number and you do not have the routing or account number for that card. She continued repeating the same statement. Therefore, I asked for her name and the number to corporate office. The representative continued to ignore my request and asking me for my information. I realized that my sister had called my home phone (Thank God for TECHNOLOGY) so I got out my cell phone, informed the representative this call is being recorded, and asked for the requested information again. I asked for her name and the number to corporate over 8 times, which was stilled not provided to me. I had to use Ice Cube line from "Friday" . . . are you stupid, simple or slow? Continuing to ask for the requested information over 5 more times (guess what: still no name or corporate number). She stated that the manager & assistant manager had the information. Well, you know what I said...please get it for me. She placed me on hold for over 5 long beeping minutes and return with nothing. Opps...she returned laughing at me like it was a joking matter. Ok, the manager gets on the phone and started yelling their policy. (Is it me or people just do not care about customer service...and you are being recorded--1 to think about...$$$ is accepted at ALL ORGANIZATIONS). I asked her to please listen to my request because what you are telling me is not what I am in need of. 1. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 2. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 3. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 4. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 5. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 6. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 7. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN 8. PLEASE STOP & LISTEN--what do you know she finally stopped. Again, all I want is the representatives name & the number to your corporate office. She replied, "we dont have a number to give out to the public". My response was can I have your district managers name & number. She rudely commented, "we cant give out his personal number". So I countered her, I can not give out mine. ******Here is the icing on the cake************ She stated I am disconnecting the call because you made a threat to me. Oh naw sweety, the only threat I will make is with written words about your service and they will be soooo ummmmm good that you would want to hire yourself. NOW THATS A THREAT. Why do some think they can speak their mind, voice their options, etc. but you can not have the same LIBERTY & JUSTICE....FAIR IS FAIR Lets see what corporate office does now, AND I HAVE THE VOICE RECORDING.... My review is completely based on customer service that is literally the worst I have ever had, anywhere, The gym itself is very nice. Clean, spacious. Even during busy times, there was plenty of room and machines open. For a beginner, this is an ideal place. The trainer is also very nice and helpful. However, their membership policies and customer service is absolutely awful. I joined in July of 2013 as a black card member. For reasons not related to the gym itself, I did not want to renew my membership. So I went in and explained this to the manager and this is when this all became ridiculous. I joined in July and paid a full yearly dues fee of $39. Apparently on June 1st, they take this fee again. So in 11 months of membership, I have paid two yearly fees. Fine. I explained to the manager that this is my last month and afterwards I want to cancel. Ill accept the $39 fee. I have made all payments called for in my contract. Two yearly fees and all twelve monthly dues. He tells me that if I cancel before July 10th, I have to pay a $58 early termination fee. I explain I have paid all of my monthly dues in my twelve month contract. He just read verbatim policy off a computer screen and refused to help me. So, I decided to call the company customer line. He explains more or less the same thing. He tells me that I have to physically go into the location on the last day of my membership and cancel. If I go one day early (July 9th), I get zapped a $58 early term. fee. If I go in one day after (July 11th), I have to pay for another full month. Apparently you can cancel by letter, but the customer service gentleman told me that you wont know if it will be processed on that actual date. Ridiculous. The short version: 1. Paid two yearly fees in less than 12 months of membership. 2. Though I have paid all dues and fees for the twelve month term of my contract, if I cancel one day early, I have to pay $58. One day late, I have to pay more dues. 3. Store manager was entirely unhelpful in explaining any of this. Only was explained after calling customer service hotline. Customer service cannot help me because this is a privately owned franchise. Only the store manager can help, and he already has made it abundantly clear that he cannot do so. Do NOT join this gym unless you want to deal with the worst customer service ever.

Its a good enough gym so long as you know what youre getting in to. Their climate control is poor, but thats what you get for $10 a month. Their staff is nice. Their hours are hard to beat (nearly always 24-7). Its a large gym, but Id actually say its too small for the memberships they have. Way too small. Its hard to find a place to lift weights during peak hours and youre constantly waiting for machines. Some of the treadmills could use some servicing. Their radio station plays the same 100 songs over and over. If this gym were any more than the $10 a month Id be quick to give it 1 or 2 stars. Since its so cheap I use it as a secondary gym to do cardio and short resistance workouts. Its good for that. Its great for anyone just wanting to get started. The lunk alarm is ridiculous though. Ive never had it go off on me, but its incredibly annoying and often startling to every member in the gym when it goes off on someone. I feel its pretty dangerous on a couple of fronts: Exhaling (non-excessive grunting, but maybe light grunting) is unavoidable if youre lifting and breathing properly. Trying to set down weights without making a sound at all can be dangerous (particularly any kind of dumbbell press where you have to set the weights down on your sides when youre completed. They dont have barbells and racks to set the barbell on). Also, having an alarm go off while youre running on a treadmill or holding up weight can startle a person and cause them to lose control of their motion briefly. Although it may be brief, it can definitely be long enough for a person to injure themselves. This review sounds more negative than the star rating I gave it, but again Im basing a lot of my score on the value and convenience. I think the staff and atmosphere is overall good and most of my issues have more to do with the rules that are set in stone by the Planet Fitness Corporation rather than this specific location.
