Unhelpful, unfriendly and dishonest staff. I called about a registered mail package for which I received a notice. I asked that the package be redirected to my office (something I have done with UPS and FedEx in the past without a problem), and was told they could not reroute registered mail parcels. When I explained that I could not get to the location during their posted hours, the customer service person said I could pick up the package at 8:00 a.m. the following day (Friday), that the branch would be open. I asked for confirmation because the pick card said the hours were from 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and the customer service person went on to explain that they were old cards and the locations hours had changed. When I got there at 8:00 a.m., lo and behold, the location was closed, the hours posted on the door to the location said 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Because they do not have hours convenient and outside my work schedule, this package will get returned, and I will have to make arrangements to have it redelivered through another carrier. This will be the last package I have delivered through or sent/send by the U.S. Postal Service. Clearly, they have no interest in matching the customer service of their competitors. Do not expect to reach anyone by telephone either, as the phone rings busy 99% of the time. To not have voicemail or an automated phone attended says volumes about how little the U.S. Postal Service cares about or is interested in satisfying its customers.

Less than 1 star; this post office has some of the rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. For the past 7 years I have had to deal with them as they will deliver mail sometimes or not; the mail goes "missing", packages go "missing" all with no resolution. They have not delivered my mail for 2 days and with no notification as to why; when I called, interestingly enough, the "Supervisor" said that I needed to shovel my drive (the 200 foot driveway was so cleared you could see the asphalt!), then she changed her story and said, did you shovel your walk? I said there was less than 2 inches there and when you stepped on it, you could see the stone walkway, then when she couldnt argue that, she then said the driver must have "safety concerns"...I asked if that is what you say when you dont want to do your job? Crickets...

I walked in there and no one was in there thats why I gave it a second star. That was cool to be the only one in line, but now I understand why. I filled out a change of address to another state and even received the confirmation at the address. However, my bills are going to my relatives address in MI. The bills dont have the forward sticker either. My bills have printed my address within the bill itself as my relatives address in MI which means I have to redo my address in all my bills, as well as, get a hold of someone at the post office to straighten this out. I made multiple calls to the post office and no one answers, hence this review hoping someone working there reads it and resolves this. Lol. Can you screw up a process more than this? You only have one job...

Incompetent fools. I get weekly deliveries from Amazon that do not require signatures or anyone to be home to receive the packages. If the driver isnt in the mood to do his job, he leaves a redelivery notice in your mailbox. If you try to enact on that notice, the website wont let you schedule a redelivery. The automated phone system gives up on you if your last name isnt Smith or Jones, and it will claim to send you to customer service but all it really does is hang up on you. If you try to call the local number, you get a fax machine.

A package that showed "delivered" via online tracking was never actually delivered to my home. I called this office to inquire. A woman named Serina or Sabrina answered the phone and then put me on hold. After waiting for over 45 minutes, I tried calling again and Post Office was closed. So essentially, she put me on hold and then went home. UNACCEPTABLE. EDIT: Apparently the package was delivered to someone on a different street. Thankfully, the homeowner was honest and brought it by my home.

I went there once facing a long line to the door. There was only 1 older white lady clerk with grey hair at the counter. I asked her to call for more counter help. She said, Thats not my job, thats managements job. I asked her to page management and she said again thats not my job. Unions are needed at times but this display is an example of it at its worst. She did not care at all about the public having to wait so long.

I really do not under stand the service we get here in Grosse Pointe - the mail is always delivered to the wrong address, we get mail a week late (post marked 7/11 and just received 7/18) and it was mailed from Taylor to Grosse Pointe - come on really 7 days for a first class mail to be delivered in the same state. So I called to complain and the wait time is over a hour - Nice customer service!

The US Post Office, 18640 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236 should be SHUT DOWN! The staff is indifferent to customer concerns. Delivery is a joke. Mail gets delivered to the wrong address and wrong street all the time. Manager of this post office could care less. Attitude, Attitude, Attitude. Problems at this branch have been going on for years.

The people who work here are great. I have never tried calling so I dont know about the numerous complaints of no answer/busy. I wish packages could be scanned quicker and my postal person was a bit more friendly and helpful but I know they are using contracted people at times and that may be part of it. The extended hours are very convenient.

I called with questions in regards to non receipt of my passport. Something that really does not concern the postal workers. However, they walked me through what my options were and who to contact. They even offered to make a phone call to the agency to request that a supervisor call me. Very happy with this post office.

Delivery from this post office is horrible. When you call, phone service is awful, they dont answer the phone and when they do, the answers are short! I try to avoid this branch and go to the Village satellite office or go to the St Clair Shores brance, wonderful friendly customer service.

This post office needs some serious attention from the higher ups. Train your employees to answer questions and to be courteous to the customers who are paying to have things delivered or shipped. If you have a phone number listed, then pick up your phone when customers call.
