I went to Salon de Lourdes about a month ago. I looked into it and it seemed like a reputable establishment. I have the easiest haircut because I have fine hair. It looks best with a blunt cut. I was trying to grow it so I just need the very tips trimmed. The stylist seemingly understood until she started cutting and I see 4-5 inches being cut in a choppy, layered look. Layered is generous because the pieces are very random. That is when I realized other stylists coming up to check on my stylist. I am pretty sure I was one of her first solo cuts. This would have been okay had I been warned or told upon scheduling. At least I would have known to be specific and watch her but instead her first cut was a layer and there was no turning back. Also when she colored my hair she kept saying she had to go get the bleach. I understand the bleach is how to lighten hair but typically I would say mixing color or something to reassure me that she wasnt putting bleach straight on my hair. Basically I would have appreciated a warning that my stylist was new and I found it extremely unprofessional not to at least give me the information so I could better explain and watch.

My entire family, my husband, 5-year-old son, and I all go to Brooke for our haircut. She does an amazing job with all three of us! Im extremely particular with my hair - I like to maintain a blunt bob - as with my sons hair, which is kind of in a skater undercut style. Her abilities are extremely versatile, and I respect her opinion when Im thinking about trying something new. She works with ease with my son and always does an amazing job on his hair! My husbands hair is tricky because its wavy, and she always does a great job with his hair, too. I also go to Daniela for facials. She is great, too. She uses lots of interesting techniques like cupping that Ive never had before during other facials. Its really a wonderful and unique experience. Overall, I feel like Salon de Lourdes is the kind of place where you can build a relationship with your stylist and aesthetician. We really like going here!

Salon de Lourdes is one of a few legit hair salons in the Lansing area. From the minute you walk in youre treated with respect and are made to feel quite comfortable; "would you like a cup of coffee or tea; can I hang up your coat; your stylist will be right with you." Ive had Manila cutting my hair for the last 3 years and shes absolutely great: she takes her time - a lot of time - and never makes a mistake. She starts you out with a neck and scalp massage, a wash with more massage before she begins the cut. Im sure the rest of the staff are equally attentive as de Lourdes appears to run a tight ship and hires carefully. I will never go to another shop, in fact I will endure an overdue cut for weeks before Id consider going elsewhere. Oh, and I found out later that they have a very talented massage therapist on board as well. I cant remember her name but she is awesome. Salon de Lourdes rocks!

Today was my very first time here. It was a last minute appointment (very thankful they had an opening) because an inexpensive walk-in hair cutting place messed my hair up yesterday and I needed it fixed asap. Kourtney was my stylist and she was amazing. It started with a head/neck massage (never expected that & even asked her how long it would take because I needed to get back home) with an essential oil that smelled wonderful. It was relaxing and a great way to start the process off. Kourtney talked me through everything she was doing during the cut and styling phase. She answered questions I had and made me feel at ease - which says a lot after yesterdays experience at the cheap walk-in place. The whole experience, from the minute I walked in to the minute I left, was excellent. Everyone was very kind. I definitely recommend Salon de Lourdes!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. WORST PLACE EVER. My hair was blonde when I went to yesterday to get my roots done. Now its all red and gross. It went back to the the second time I bleached my hair. And the hair dresser Brooke kept telling me that She didnt know what happened and she did the same thing the last two times and she just didnt know what happened to it. And she kept telling me that your skin tone does not go well with blonde. I like my hair blonde like it was before and you cant tell me what I like and what I dont like. You have no right to tell me what to do. Whats wrong with my skin tone? I know Im Asian but whats wrong with me wanting my hair blonde? Worst place ever. Super racist. Worst attitude ever. The hair dresser Brooke made my blonde hair into red. I absolutely hate it so much. Dont go here. Its outrageous

If you want to feel special, youve found the perfect place. From the minute you arrive at this well-appointed salon, you feel most welcomed. I go to Tabitha for my color and she does an EXCELLENT job. She is very talented, professional and I have a blast while she does my hair. She listens to what YOU want then takes the time to get the best results. Same goes for Lourdes who cuts my hair. She is awesome. You wouldnt know that shes the owner due to her down-to-earth, yet professional way about her. She does a terrific job. I have been most happy with all the people Ive worked with at this salon. I would highly recommend Tabitha, Lourdes & Manila. Oops! Almost forgot to mention Andrea for a wonderful facial w/ all natural products. Believe me, if you go here, you wont be dissapointed. They all have it going on!

Go see Kalena at Salon de Lourdes! I have been going to Kalena on and off for more than 20 years. The only time I didnt get my hair done by her was when she lived in Chicago. She has an incredible natural talent for designing a haircut to fit your face perfectly. She is a great listener and would never give you a style that you didnt want. If you are looking to color your hair make sure you see Kalena, she will do a fantastic job. Every time I get my hair colored or cut I walk out of the salon feeling beautiful. Additionally, she does a great job cutting kids and mens hair. She cuts my son and daughters hair and always does a great job. I would highly recommend Kalena at Salon de Lourdes!

Love this Salon! The salon itself is beautifully decorated and very warm and relaxing. And if you are looking for a great cut or color I highly recommend Kalena. She really listens to what I want in my hair and at the same time is really interested in keeping it healthy, which she has managed to do even though I lighten up with blonde highlights:) In addition to Kalenas wonderful personality, everyone else there that I have met is so nice and I always leave there with GREAT looking hair and feeling like I got a lot of value for my money. I would definitely recommend Salon de Lourdes :)
