When I pulled up outside as the heavy snow came down I have to admit, I was nervous. This salon looked clean, classy and like a place where my simple style may not feel comfortable. WOW, was I in for a surprise. I was greeted by Lori in a kind and professional manner, the atmosphere made me feel like I alone was important. My wait time was minimal for my Pedicure and Makayla did an outstanding job bringing my poor feet back to life. As though I was the only customer in the world, she offered me a drink, took care with her work and shared in conversation. Once done, Michelle wisked me away to tame the unruly eyebrows that others have ruined. I was laid on a heated spa table and she explained everything as we consulted to the wishes for the look I wanted. I must say, whatever wax she used, for the FIRST time ever having my eyebrows done, here I am hours later and no little sore spots or white pimples to contend with!!!! I cannot wait for my first massage with her!!! When I was taken back to the front to pay for my services I was pleased with the fair prices. I am a single mom who works hard and honestly, the staff and atmosphere made me feel like a million dollars on a single moms budget. I am going back to get my hair done in a few weeks and cant wait. Having moved here from out of state, I believe I have found a trusted and reputable salon to call home. I dont normally write reviews but when you have something good to say, SAY IT!!!

I had gone thru their web site to set an appointment & their hour listed on the website are for both the salon and the barber shop, so I would suggest calling to make an appointment. My appointment was scheduled for Thursday (04/14/16) at 6 p.m, I arrived at 5:45 p.m. When I walked in I was engulfed by beautiful decor and greeted by a very friendly Receptionist. The Receptionist ask for my name and if I had an appointment, I replied yes at 6 p.m she then stated I dont see that you scheduled (GASP). I explained to her about first putting my appointment request thru email and that I later got a call, at that point she remembered the conversation and quickly apologized for the mistake & then jumped into action by offering me a certificate to get my hair done at a later time or to come back at 7 p.m and my hair cut would be free either option that I choose. What amazing customer service! I choose to have my hair done at 7 p.m by Miranda B. Miranda my look very young but she is very experienced and professional. Miranda did a incredible job at giving me advice on what I should do cause of the type of hair I have as opposed to the picture that I brought in. I just want to say that my experience with Smith & Voss was great, from the decor to the Receptionist to Miranda, whom I will say did a phenomenal job on my hair!!! I will make sure to spread nothing but good compliments and good news about Smith & Voss & Miranda b.

Got my nails done here for the first time before getting some engagement pictures taken and was blown away! Its been two weeks and the shellac treatment is just now starting to chip away, which is ok actually because my nails have grown too long anyway and needed trimming. And beyond the chipping away shellac, my nails are usually damaged and scratched beneath the coating, not this time! My nails look healthy and no worse for wear. The pedicure I received was incredible and again- its been two weeks and my feet are still soft! I had been to a few other salons in Owosso with very little success and was so glad to have followed a suggestion to try this place out. Customer for life! Though the price for service is on the higher end, the service you receive is worth every penny and lasts! I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will be back for nails again before my wedding next year!

I have been going to the same stylist for 4 years now. In October I had no choice but to try someone new so I thought smith and voss would be my best choice. I am licensed in hair and I am going for silver which is a more complicated color. I asked the stylist to not use pravana color as my hair doesnt take well with it and pulls the wrong colors. I found out when I left (because of lighting and not being able to really see the true color) and looked on social media that she had in fact used pravana to try to cut time since she was running out of time. This caused me to have a gold band in my hair. I have since went back to my regular stylist but we can not get the gold band out of my hair. 5 months after going to her and a lot of money later I am still trying to correct her work and not happy about it by any means!

Smith & Voss is the only hair salon I have gone to and I would never think about going anywhere else. The staff is so great at helping me choose what to do with my hair, giving me ideas as well as honest opinions and it always comes out exactly how I want it. Not only is the staff great, helping with my hair (obviously) and also just being there to talk to on a bad day, but the atmosphere is so inspiring and honestly a place that if I could, I would hangout with my friends. Overall, Smith & Voss is by far the best hair salon not only in Owosso but in Michigan(probably even in the U.S.). There is no hesitation when I say that you will not regret going to Smith & Voss.

My friends daughter and daughter-in-law works here, and after several traumatic hair experiences, I thought why not. I have extremely thick curly 2c/3a hair and no one ever listens to how I want my hair styled. I went to Shannon, because she always has impeccable style and flair, and she worked her magic on my hair. I fell in love with my hair once again. The salon is clean, I would also recommend Jessica, as I was watching her make a womans hair look incredible. The salon is clean, friendly atmosphere, and all the beauticians were positive and friendly. Yes, Smith and Voss is the place to have your mane restored back to its former glory.

Amazing people and finally a salon that meets my needs sooo perfectly! We moved back from Arizona and I needed to find a salon and someone who knew how to cut my hair well. Stopped in, first of all, by the appearance of the outside of the salon...very inviting, and secondly, because I knew they were an Aveda Salon. After scheduling my first appointment, I was sold. Casey did an amazing job along with a personality to match! Constantly telling people about the great service and atmosphere. Thank you so much, Smith and Voss...everyone of you!

Ive followed Casey for years and was so sad that I had to move away! It took me 5 years to find someone even close to comparable. I even commuted an hour and a half just to get my hair done! It is also a fantastic environment to be in, everyone is very welcoming and its like visiting with family every time I stop in. My mom has started going there as well. She gets her nails done by the very talented Whitney and Im always jealous on how good they look! I highly recommend this salon to anyone in the area because it is hands down the best!
