I have been using the Cleaning Authority for a little over a year and for the most was happy with them. Today I cancelled the service because for 2 cleaning rotations in a row weve had issues with the quality of the cleaning service. Two cleaning rotations ago the team failed to properly vacuum, I found dust bunnies underneath some of the furniture. They also failed to properly clean the sinks in the master bathroom. You could see a ring around the edge where the counter meets the sink. I called their office and spoke to Laura. All she offered was to let the owner know so he could talk to the girls. There was no offer to come back and rectify the situation or even offer a discount towards the next clean. I decided to give them another chance and go from there. They came to clean two weeks ago and again we had issues. When they cleaned my sons bathroom they decided to pile everything that was sitting on his bathroom counter into a plastic cup that we have sitting there. This wasnt the issue. The issue was they also decided to place a cleaning sponge on top of everything they piled into the cup. When I got home I found the dirty sponge sitting right on top of my sons new toothbrush. Apparently some of the ladies that do the cleaning have absolutely no common sense. I havent been able to come up with any situations under which it is ok to place a dirty sponge on top of a toothbrush. My husband also found that they had shoved the top rack of the dishwasher closed even though there was a plastic lid that was clearly too tall to fit. We had left it open with the lid standing because we wanted it to drain and dry. My husband had to be very careful to pull the rack out without breaking the lid. I emailed the Cleaning Authority and to date I havent received any follow-ups. Some of the women that clean for this company do good work. However, the owner and management team have absolutely no concept of what good customer service is. Every time weve had an issue and Ive called to let them know, all I get is "Ill let the owner know so he can talk to the girls". Each time Ive had to follow-up with them in order to get a resolution. For the amount of money I paid for the service I expected better customer service.

I used the services of Cleaning Authority for 8-9 years for bi-weekly cleaning and was for the most part satisfied. However, when it came time to sell our house and move I had them do a "move-out" clean and it was an entirely different story. I returned to our empty house to check out how things were after the crew had cleaned and it was obvious that they did not do half of what they promised to do. Drawers in the kitchen had not been cleaned at all, shelves in closets were still dirty and needed wiped down and worst of all - they left the refrigerator a disaster! They apparently tried to take out the fridge drawers and shelves to clean them and couldnt figure out how to put them back in. So they just sort of shoved them in a huge mush-mash and never bothered to let me know. That night when I returned to what was supposed to be a "move-in ready" home instead I had a couple hours of work to do myself to get things fixed. When I called to complain all I got back was an apology of sorts in which the field manager said he would talk to his workers. He never asked what it would take to make things right, etc. which is what managers for most well-run companies would do. If you do decide to use Cleaning Authority for regular weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning be sure to check up on them. And I would NEVER recommend using them for a "move-out" clean; it would be pretty much a total waste of your hard-earned money.

I have been purchasing these services for a few months now. I am satisfied with the services and overtime, as the ladies have come to know my home and related traffic, I notice that the cleans are more thorough with recognition. I believe the price for services is fair and the owner takes good care of the workers - the workers I talked to are happy with the pay and benefits, which was a deciding factor as well in going with this company. The clean is less than an hour and rotational in nature. Also, there is a user login on their website where you can set up payments and comment on services. It has been entirely painless to coordinate a schedule and I have no complaints. A receipt is left after every clean explaining what was completed and what is next in rotation. I didnt give five stars because there are a couple items they do not do I wish they did or did better: clean interior windows (within reach), made a formal proper bed complete with correct tucking and casing, dusted ceiling fans. Finally, the ladies drive well kept vehicles to the home that are subtle (no signage).

I stuck with them for a year. Some things they did really well--kitchen and bathroom cleaning was great, overall. The other stuff--like vacuuming and dusting--not so well. After three times in a row having to vacuum after they had "cleaned" I decided I was paying too much to have to do my own work, so I left them. They could be good, if they had more workers who cared about the quality of the work they provide, instead of how fast they can get done and outa the house.

Did a poor job cleaning. I put up with it for six months. When they lost my dog, that was it. Hes blind and deaf. They say he ran out and wouldnt come back. My house is gated. How did he get out of all those doors? He cant run anywhere. They essentially did s poor job cleaning and I had to have the owner come look over their shoulders once, they lost my dog, and they lied about it, then they cashed my check anyway. I fired them. Go elsewhere fast.

I had a really bad experience with cleaning authority. They are unwilling to stick to their commitments that are made in the first meeting. The rotation area claim is completely baseless as the cleaners dont even know which is the rotation area while they r cleaning. Kindly save your time & hire some one else in the area.

Ive been using the Cleaning Authority for 3 years. I have a seasonal home on a lake and its wonderful to have a service I can depend on.No more getting the house cleaned before the weekend company comes! All I have to do is streighten and worry about the meals and Im all set. Thanks Cleaning Authority of Portage! :)
