I have been to quite a few health clubs in my day and this is by far the best I have had a membership with. I say that as a 2xPowerhouse, Metro Family, Snap, and another independent membership holder. The money down hurts but the money I spend a month with them, that will not change until I die or stop paying them, is nothing. This particular club is new and clean. The members are all pretty decent and everyone stays to themselves listening to headphones and patiently waiting for equipment. The wait is few and far between as the floor has at least two machines for that particular motion, with few exceptions. Most people keep it clean and do their best to keep it that way. Most of us are there to keep our bodies nice and neat and we treat the facility the same. When the parking lot is packed, it usually is not busy on the floor. Most of the people during the rush are the cardio heads and fitness class moms. The pool area is clean and quiet. It has a few older people at any given time of day, as expected with a community pool. The basketball area is usually full but it appears that it is pretty civil and people that are waiting for pick up games get right in. Overall, I am very happy to be a member of this club. In fact, I visited the signature club in Troy and found that I would much rather be at my Roseville club any day of the week. Some of the negatives: Needs more dead lift space. The personal trainer situation is very expensive. The sales members are good at knowing how much sales is tolerable. Overall? It is a pretty good investment of your money as long as you are willing to invest the time into your self.

Was highly annoyed with the free personal training session you are supposed to get at the beggining of sign up. I thought it was a perk of signing up, someone to show you a few things to fit your goals that you can do at the gym then maybe a paper of if you are ever interested in signing up. went and met at 10am, we did a on the dot 13 minute workout circuit then spent an hour trying to persuade me to sign up for 55 dollar sessions, could not respect the fact i wanted to talk it over with my SO in person at home (insisted I call him, which Would put him on the spot and he likes to see things/agreements in person) apparently she had problems comprehearing that. nor could she send me with any prices /costs or paperwork of the training, like you cant even call that a free session, it was majorly a waste of time, then I didnt have time to work out because kids klub was closing shortly. I woke up super early to meet her at 10 for this but was very disappointed. Upon signing up no one really tried to show us around, explain about the classes. I had to ask all the questions, they took no initiation to put in effort to make you feel welcomed. Just get you to sign. I attended a yoga class on sunday, it was great. Met a little old lady (not a employee) who taught me like 6 machines to help me get started. Overall with all the free classes and having the kid klub I guess you could call it a decent gym. I just started though and already annoyed. Oh well. Will run that stress off at the gym.

The gym is very nice and the employees are nice also. The majority is the trainers are AWESOME! But now here comes the bad. Before I signed up I told them that I would be moving in about 3-4 months. I was told that if I was moving into a an area that did not have a LA Fitness within 50 miles, that I would not have to take the buy out option and that I could just cancel my membership. "The nearest LA Fitness from my new home is over an hour drive". So based on this information I signed up. Now here we are about 3 months later and I asked what they can do for me and they said that I have to now take the buy out option. When I was told when I signed that I would not have to do this. I know LA Fitness is a big corporation. But when you tell someone that they can do something, and you baise your whole decision off of a lie. It really says about the company and there morals. You would hope that a company that works in customer service would do what they say that they will do. I will never go to a LA Fitness again in my life and if anyone ever askes about them i will tell them to go to a different gym and to not waist their time. This is my warning to anyone who wants to attend here, dont do it. I dont want you to experience my experience and waste your time. Good Luck!

The staff aside from those at the juice bar/"boost nutrition" and the only custodian I ever see there are exceptionally lazy. I pay for one person (myself) plus guest privileges and typically go with my boyfriend, only one person has ever asked him for an ID and we were going to the gym for months before that day and it was only then when he signed a waiver. This location is going to get L.A. in trouble when a guest gets injured and gets "sue happy" because they realise they never signed anything! In fact there isnt even always someone at the front desk, Ive walked right in without scanning or without mentioning my guest is with me and nobody cares. The classes get cancelled more often then they occur. I tried taking my sister to Aquafit and nobody even told us until 20 minutes after the class suppose to start that the instructor wasnt coming and the person did tell us was a gym member, not an employee. The spa tub is always either sorta dirty or so concentrated that you cant stand to sit in the hot tub for more than a few minutes or your eyes suffer from the fumes. This location obviously needs closer supervision from the district or regional managers because these problems do not occur at the Hall road location.

Whatever you do..DO NOT sign up for their personal training sessions! The person that signed me up said the training came with meal plans, free extra sessions, and how ever many sessions were still on at the end of the 1 yr term could be used later. He gave me my price for the YEAR only to find out, after I was locked in it was a lie! Needless to say he doesnt work there anymore, but the problem is no one seems properly trained with the right answers. My year was up in July, here it is November and they are still billing me! I called back in August they tell me I missed Payment in December thats why Im still getting billed after my year is up..which didnt sound right bc the payments were automatically taken out! Well I call yet again today and theyre saying I had to write a letter to cancel!! Wt!? No one said this from the start, or when I called in August! All they want is your $ and the service doesnt add up! No one I mean not one of the people working there give you the same answer to your questions about their facility. Im beyond upset at the customer service..I could go on..1 year..two different trainers and the last trainer was just there for a check I stopped going!
