Have been going to Planet Fitness in Troy for over 5 years now, almost exclusively during the early hours (1:00 - 5:00 a.m.). The club is always clean and welcoming. The faces at the front desk have changed a lot and sometimes very quickly over those 5 years, but they are always friendly and well-trained. The MVP award, however, must go to Shannon, who is a custodian/cleaner there. Whenever I go, she is always working conscientiously and diligently, and it seems like she has been there on almost every night when I have gone there for over the past year now. She cleans the locker rooms and the gym with the same dedication and attention to detail now as when I first met her a year ago there. Its rare to find employees who are so reliable and devoted in what are often the most thankless of positions. Great job, Shannon, and thanks to PF for being such a welcoming spot in the wee hours.

I come here because it is cheap. Ive asked staff about equipment and they have been completely clueless on how to use it. Recently this location got a lot of new equipment (it looks like a jungle gym) so I wanted to know more and the staff couldnt tell me anything about it. On top of this I have had men asking to pick me up which has made me uncomfortable (though I suppose this could happen at any gym. But really, why are you trying to talk to me when when I have weights in my hands and earbuds in my ears? Lets not even get into the kid I caught recording me. Angry, worst for last, on more than one occasion Ive gone to grab benches or adjust equipment and have gotten FRESH SNOT ON MY HANDS. I wanted to vomit. This place is disgusting, the staff are clueless. The only good part is the price which is why I wont leave. I dont know about other locations but this one is terrible.

Staff was nice. Theres a lot of machines and its hardly ever very busy. The regulars are good people, helpful and not judgemental. I guess some people like the lunk alarm, I just kind of find it obnoxious. Ive never really been bothered by people grunting at the gym. No gym allows screaming or weight dropping. Theres tootsie rolls at the desk that you have to walk past on your way in and out. I never ate any, but I still dont understand the point of that at a gym. Friday they close at 9pm, Saturday and Sunday they close at 7pm. They call it 24/5 but thats really stretching it. The fans bothered me because it makes it harder for me to work up a sweat while doing my cardio. You cant beat that price though. 10 dollars a month is great. Had to quit because it was too hard for me to get there with all the traffic down that way and I was starting to work out less.

The only good thing here is the staff, they are friendly and helpful. Barely anyone wipes down the machines after use, it is disgusting they need to put up more signs(in Arabic) for chaldeans. Feels like Im in the commercial at the other gym, too many people try to pretend they are tough and act intimidating (when they shouldnt for the simple fact they fled their country and came here like cowards and rely on government for income and foodstamps). With that being said it makes more sense to how some people spend hours at this location texting, video chatting, or just hanging out and barely working out. Locker room arent always the cleanest and a lot of foreign guys love to stare at other guys, especially if they are changing. Best suggestion is to go to another location that isnt as dirty(Southfeild, Warren, other two in Sterling Heights). يرجى مسح أسفل آلات

Some of the staff is just standoffish and rude. I started my membership 9/2014. I tried calling to cancel my account in July 2015, they wouldnt cancel because it wasnt within 30 days. I tried cancelling in end of august 2015 and they said they cant either. for whatever reason. I called to speak to manager and left a few messages but never got a phone call back. I had to go in and cancel my account for the manager to even talk to me, at that point I wasnt even interested. Gym is okay to work out at. Gets real busy because its by the mall. Rude employees makes me never want to go back.

This place is a scam. I wanted to cancel my membership because I moved away from the area and quickly found out that there is no way to cancel online. I then tried to call to cancel and was told I have to come in to cancel or send a letter. After FIVE letters, my account is still being charged. In fact, its being charged 3x more than it was when I was using the PoS gym. I had just enough money in my account for gas to get home for Christmas, but thanks to planet fitnesss con scheme, Im pretty much screwed.

i like the gym but the staff could definitely be more friendly. nobody on the staff looks like they want to be there the only person who really seemed nice was the person who helped me with my membership and all he kept saying was "if you have any questions feel free to ask" but everyone else there is hardly approachable, never smiling and they dont look at me when they are explaining something, overall the gym was clean and i like it. just seriously needs a staff upgrade..

Friendly staff. Lots of men at the lockers with their junk hanging out wtf. Wasted $100 for nothing, it was good the first week then A-Rabs started coming in and using the equipment and not cleaning after them self, equipment all of sweat. Horrible smell and they even installed airplane propellers to push the stink down. I left and never came back again. And was closed most of the time when I had the time to go. That last one was my fault for not checking first.

Ive been to my fair share of Planet Fitness locations and this one has to be the worst. Half of the staff is very nice and polite while the other half is very standoffish and seem miserable. The weights & weight machines are old and worn down. The tanning beds, while nice and in good condition, dont seem to tan very well compared to other Planet Fitness locations. The building is rather small and is always PACKED during peak hours (Monday - Thursday 5pm - 11pm).

Ive been to many PF locations. This one has fantastic equipment but poor management. The majority of the staff are in poor shape (good enough for me then why isnt it good enough for you). Also, they can be a bit rude and rarely step from behind the counter to clean. Aside from the occasional token tools that strut around with their cut shirts with 11" guns hanging out most if the patrons are very courteous. As for PF overall -Its a lot of value for just $20.00.

Im visiting family from school and I have to flip flop between gyms and this is by far my most FAVORITE gym to come to when Im visiting I am always welcomed with great pretty smiles laughs and wonderful encouragement ! This facility is always super clean and always accommodating please do yourself a favor and come workout in Troy!!!
