I recently moved to MI, from AZ. I have been a faithful ulta customer for over 10 years. I spend a lot of money in this store on a variety of products and services. To my disgust, i went to the Ulta on Alpine tonight to return a bottle of Redken Conditioner in a liter bottle that was 28.00 when i purchased it and two days after i purchased it i received a flyer stating the liters were on sale for 13.99 (FYI: When i was at the store i asked an employee if the Redken would be going on sale and she said not in the up coming add, and two days later it was in the new add on sale) I do not live close to the store so it took me a week to get back to attempt to make the return. My plan was... I wanted to then buy a bottle of conditioner and shampoo(for the price of my one bottle of conditioner) but both front end sales associates at Ulta refused to allow me to return the unopened/unused 28.00 bottle (with my receipt) to get two 13.99 bottles. I wanted to give them my business but i wanted a fair deal. They refused and I demanded my money back and I will never step foot in Ulta again. I will give my business to Trade Secret for hair care and Macys or Sephora for Urban Decay Make-up. How disturbing...what kind of customer service do we get these days. What happened to the customer is always right theory that used to hold true when i worked in retail. I can not believe they let me walk out the store with my money in hand to go spend at another store for the same product. Must be Ulta is doing better in this recession than the other stores and can afford to turn customers away. What a JOKE!

I have an obsession with makeup. It is probally not always healthy, but It is a huge part of my life. When I found out that this Ulta existed, I was overjoyed. I am from Muskegon, and formerly when I would need my fix of smashbox, too faced, and urban decay I would order online or wait 3 months for a trip to Chicago. I had THE BEST shopping experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and I felt like I was valued. In addition, they had a great selection of everything my heart desires. It only takes me about 40 minutes to travel from my home to ulta. I will definitly continue to shop their even when I leave to go to college next fall even though It will take me over 3 hours to drive to Ulta. Overall, if you love makeup you will love this Ulta. I could not praise it any more.

This was my first time in an Ulta today. First off Sierra was amazing!!! She was so nice and helpful. I have awefully sensative dry skin and have always had problems getting a good foundation. She helped me find the perfect product in my shade. Then she helped me with a ton of questions i had. I was pretty clueless and she was a saviour. Then i hot my hair cut by Kassi. My hair was kind of jacked from a wonky hair cut. She was able to straighten things out and make it look great. I love the cut i recived. I also spoke with Brandi, who does the skin services and she was super helpful and full of great info. Everyone was really awesome and listened to all of my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this store and its services to others.

My daughter and I both got long overdue haircuts from Rose last Saturday. At first, neither of us were sure of our decisions and while I cant speak for my daughter, as of 24 hours later, I feel it was the best decision Ive made in a long time! I spent my day feeling great and all I had to do was wash, brush and add a small amount of product to my newly cut hair! I absolutely love it now ❤ I cannot wait to see her again on Friday for some much needed color. I cannot recommend her enough, if you need a change and want to go to someone who does an amazing job, book an appointment with Rose!

Went here recently to have my makeup done, since I was going to be in a wedding. This was the BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! The lady that did my makeup had very little experience, she said she had been doing makeup for about 6 months. When I left the store, I looked horrible even my family suggested I take it off and have someone else do it again. WASTE OF MONEY!!

The manager here tried to tell me the same bottle in my hand which was not the same product that was listed in the sales ad this is very much false advertising and is sad that they tried to make me pay 28.99 for what was supposed to be 6.99 very disappointed with the way management handled this.

Unorganized store and the help has gone down hill. Seems like employees do not want to be there anymore. This store used to be so upbeat, not sure what the change is but you can feel it as soon as you walk through the door. The store has a vibe now that isnt fun, so I wont be back.

I have been trying to find a new foundation, Ive been through probably 5 or 6 different brands and today instead of having to buy another $40 foundation to try the girls gave me a sample! She was super helpful with explaining different brands and the pros and cons.
