Absolutely blown away by the treatment I received from the midnight person at the club "Tamico". She was extremely rude and unprofessional and seem to have no concept of customer service. She seemed to be missing a little something upstairs if you know what I mean. I spoke to the maintenance man who was there and said that she frequently blows up on members and cannot multitask and when she tries she seems to have anxiety and nervous breakdown at times During this busy time of year when there are a lot of "resolutioners" join the gym perhaps a bit higher level of staff from 11pm-1am would help as she seems unable to handle multiple people or tasks at once I am a black cardmember and she continually refused to provide simple services to me that are part of my membership. All I wanted was to get tokens for the chair massage and she made it a point to continually ignore me and refused my request in front of other members saying that I need to stop bothering her and go work out. I had already been at the club for approximately an hour and a half and had finished my workout and only want to do use a chair massage She actually called Westlane police which I couldnt understand why and when they arrived extremely promptly, I told them that I was a black cardmember and all I wanted was some tokens for the massage chair the police asked her if that was true and why wouldnt you provide services to this man. Anytime I try to answer the officers question she continually cut me off even in front of these police in an aggressive manner that could not be confused with customer service. There was no reasonable or justifiable explanation so she handed me my tokens and told the officers to have a good night and they left. Very disturbing. It was like she wanted to exercise power and unreasonable control over a very basic request and attempting to pick an argument with me and play a victim at the same time. In this economy where Jobs are extremely plentiful I can understand its difficult to find someone to work the midnight hours(as I was told by another staff member) yet I think theres a reasonable expectation of extremely basic level of service and that was certainly not provided by Tamico. My guess is that Tamico will probably be looking for employment somewhere else soon or atleast I hope, for the gyms sake and the customers as well. After I got confirmation that this is not uncommon behavior of hers, one can only hope. I have had countless positive interactions with numerous staff there at this location who work the regular hours and it pains me to write this review although after the way I was treated I felt that it was reasonable and that you should know

the treatment I received from the person "Tamico" was absolutely horrible!!!!!! My family and I all just bought black cards and when we came for the first time She was extremely rude and unprofessional and seem to have no idea What she was doing. We sat at the desk for a hour!!!! Just trying to get our cards. She was so scattered and full of anxiety and panic that it triggered my son to have a panic attack. One of the reasons we go at night is so he doesnt get overwhelmed. I thought at first it was just that night so we went back and same treatment!!!! I was tanning and my time just ran out and I was cleaning the bed and she started banging on the door telling me I was taking to long. When I walked out NOBODY was even waiting. It was at 12:30 at night. Needless to say I havent been back and now we are paying money every month for nothing!!!! We picked this gym because of the judgement free zone. Well she definitely doesnt follow that. She was at the desk talking to another girl that was there working out about this woman and putting her down and making fun of her. When I said something she just rolled her eyes at me. Im am calling upper management today to make a formal complaint. Its a sad day when the people that are supposed to make you comfortable do the exact opposite !!

First of all I do want to say the gym is nice and has plenty of equipment, no wait to use cardio equipment, etc. The reason for the two stars started with my first visit to the gym. Upon enrolling I was told that I could not have a tour at that time because they were too busy, but when I came back for my first workout someone would show me around. I arrive they next day for my first workout, check in and ask if someone would give me a quick tour and answer a few questions I had. I was told that I shouldnt really need a tour because everything is self explanatory. Thank goodness it wasnt my first time working out at a gym or I would have been totally lost, but it would have been nice to have someone, say hey here are the locker rooms, the tanning is over here, make sure you wipe down the equipment when your done, just show me the basics of your establishment, was that too much to ask? I was most peeved by the fact that there were about six employees at the checkout counter and not one of them had time to give me a quick tour. I am just dissapointed in the lack of customer service.

Recently I needed to exercise in a pool, due to knee surgery and joined a higher priced gym in the area to aqua jog. As I was at that gym, I realized how much I like this planet fitness location(Westland). The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and the gym is always clean. The atmosphere of the staff and fellow gym members is outstanding. I found myself going to the higher price gym just to aqua jog, then going to planet fitness for upper body weights. No gym is perfect, but Planet Fitness is a outstanding option and is much better than most of its higher priced competitors in the area. The recent addition of three more workout rooms is great. I just wished they had installed the heavy bags on the 360. I hesitate slightly writing this review, since gyms get so crowded this time of year, but all you resolution makers in the area should check out Planet Fitness

The gym is nice during the day but recently ive started going at night because of my work schedule. This place is a joke at night the guy at the front desk always has 3-5 people behind the desk with him (none of witch are employees ) and when you sign in upon arrival you wait about 5 min till they are done talking then wile he signing you in his crew behind the desklook at you funny for breaking up the conversation. Plus its dirty (at night) i have been going here sense they opened but iam writing this review because tonight when i was bench pressing i was hit with a football and almost droped 250 lbs on my cheast. That would of done some damage, but i cant figure out why 6 guys were playing catch in the gym. Thats because it was the "crew" from behind the counter. Needles to say time to find another gym. If you choose this gym dont go at night.
