I went to ship a cleaned, used carburetor, and the woman behind the counter accepted my payment, after I told her what was inside the package, and said that the package should be on its way shortly. 3 days later, I receive a card in my mailbox that my package could not be shipped and I need to pick it up at the post office. When I arrived, the same woman who accepted the package began chastising me in front of the customers in line about how I should know that they wouldnt ship a carburetor because there could be traces of gasoline in it, and how their policy is so clear she doesnt understand how I couldnt know, etc. I explained to her that she accepted the package knowing very clearly what was inside it, and I had the original declaration paperwork with her handwriting that said "carburetor" on it, and she still felt it necessary to not only try and explain to me how a carburetor works, but also that I should know that the Post Office wouldnt ship it. After I asked if it was the Post Offices responsibility to know better than the customers what they are and are not able to ship, she hastily handed me my refund and walked away from the counter without saying a word. Extremely rude service, if they dont know their policy regarding certain items, they certainly should not take it out on their paying customers. And then theyre surprised when everyone stops using them. Absolutely terrible.

In tracking my package I see that my box was delivered 3/13/13, however; it was not to me nor my home. I did not receive it. Called PO only to be told that is was delivered to my home. I live w/my 84 yr old father and needless to say we dont go out.PO personnel says that maybe it blew away, maybe someone stole it. "Sorry,, nothing more we can do" and then she hangs up on me! My first time last week in returning something to China, I go into the Wixom PO. However, everytime I went back up to the counter, I apparently had done another thing incorrectly. So, instead of telling me what paperwork, stickers, etc. I may need to mail this, she decided to let me continue to wait in line each and every time only to reach the counter only to be told I needed another form or did something else incorrectly! I will NEVER go USPS again. No wonder theyre not making any money at USPS! I am furious with this location! Advise; Go UPS..much better service!!

Rude staff, ruder Postal Inspector who doesnt know their own policies...i run a mail order biz from home and these people just want to fight me on policies they dont even understand...Walled Lake usually has friendlier staff and doesnt spend any time trying to find excuses to send your packages back to you...done going here...no problems at Walled Lake and i cant let the incompetence at the wixom office jeopardize my business....mailed 20 packages today and 20 yesterday...Walled Lake now gets my volume...on the other hand, my carrier at home is awesome, but she seems to be the exception...I would have left 1 star if not for her. Gah! I will say that the USPS overall is very reliable...I ship a LOT and I can think of maybe one package that was lost and that was maybe 8 years ago. Priority packages are often late, though.

The issue is more so with mail carriers that are too lazy to deliver packages. Several times now Ive gotten notifications in my email saying they attempted delivery which never happened. I have dogs that bark at anything and I made sure I was home when I was expecting deliveries. Most recently this month we had a package not delivered. I again, was home. We were told by looking at the online tracking they attempted delivery but our box was too full and no notice left. Lie and Lie. One piece of normal mail, no notice. This was supposed to be delivered 3/4/17. I had to go get it and I made sure they knew weve had several issues. I was told if they can deliver it, they should. Well the carrier could but was too lazy not to. Yesterday 3/17/17 I finally got the notice in our box of our carrier covering their ass.

The clerks need to have some customer service training. Super rude to the gentleman in front of me because he wasnt sure how to address his package. Yes he should know how but he said he didnt. She set him up in the next window to address his package then the second clerk walked up and told him to move as he said he was done she said "no you arent." He had mere seconds to finish up and I could have waited another minute. I have witnessed her be rude multiple times. I guess when you work a government job you can treat people however you want and have no one to answer to. Must be nice!

Worst post office ever. Paid $500 to direct mail flyers for my new business in town. It was only 4 carrier routes and 1 included Stratford Villa Mobile home park. Nobody there even got the flyer. Went up to post office and was told post master was busy and would call me early the following day. Its been a week and no call. Between the cost of mailers and postage I wasted over $500 using them to deliver my advertisement. When you try to call and talk to someone about it the phone just rings and no one answers.

Rude staff. Lazy mail carriers. Why was my package taken back to P.O. for me to pick up when Ive been home all day of delivery? Happens a lot. Ive dealt with this branch for over ten years. I go to locations in other cities to avoid going here. The curly haired woman who works there is well known in the community for her awful attitude and demeanor. How can USPS say on tracking that the package has been delivered in the mail box but actually arrives days later? Soon the USPS will become obsolete.

This has to be the WORST post office Ive ever been to. The ladies that work here are consistently rude and not willing to help you. Its rare that they make eye contact with their customers and when they do, its typically because they have something sarcastic to spew. I needed help with a package and after having watched one of the two attendants do this particular thing I asked for with another customer, they outright refused to help me in the same way. Unbelievable.

Staff was extremely rude and culturally incompetent. A customer spoke English with a thick accent and the staff member proceeded to yell at the women asking if she understood English. When questions were asked by myself and other customers, the staff acted extremely irritated and treated everyone poorly. I could not get out of there fast enough. Overall, a degrading experience. I will not be mailing anything from this post office again.

Worst post office ever. The mail carries either cant read or they just dont care. I find myself at least once a week delivering mail to my neighbors or they are delivering mail to me. I have complained several times and apparently they dont care. I am missing some mail right now as we speak. I have also had important mail that I was waiting for sent back to the post office due to it being delivered to the wrong address.
