We encountered the same issue regarding taping packages in the store. I called the customer service of UPS and they agreed with my frustration. UPS customer service plans to issue a formal complaint against this location regarding this issue. Per the representative, no one has successfully sued UPS for injuring themselves while preparing packages. Regarding the space within the office, there is plenty of space to prepare an 11 x 8.5 inch envelope. This is what we were kicked out for. Its evident the small percentage of clumsy injured customers affect the majority of competent people. Place a sign stating "prepare packages at own risk", rather than kicking out every customer who needs to prepare their package. McDonalds states on their coffee, CAUTION CONTENTS HOT, and no longer can be sued. UPS should employ a comparable notice.

I originally went to this location to drop off three packages. I was told I would be charged for tape. I wasnt assisted, just told I would be charged more money and could buy supplies there. I left and went to the Dearborn location which taped and returned my packages in under 5 minutes. I went back to the Wyandotte location once more since it is close to my house and was treated terribly. When charged for tape a second time, I asked why both Dearborn and Ann Arbor do not charge for tape, the response was "Well Dearborn must be able to afford that then." I asked if all associates are that rude. It seems like every associate that works at the Wyandotte location is rude and inconsiderate. I will gladly drive the extra 10 minutes out of the way to go to the Dearborn location.

Both the stores in Wyandotte and Brownstown are extremely petty. For example (Brownstown location), I was asked that I not tape my packages up inside of the store because "...its too noisy and I have to lean in to hear the customers." So wait, I cannot prepare my package for shipping at a UPS shipping store? REALLY?! My second example from yesterday (Wyandotte location 2/25) I again needed to prepare my files for shipping. I was told that, "From this point forward, you are no longer allowed to bring your tape gun into the store for safety reasons. If you cut yourself, you could sue us."

I have gone to other UPS stores several other times, but had never been to this one before. Im usually asked if what Im sending contains anything hazardous, combustible, etc.. The lady here just blatantly asked me what was in the box, which I had never been asked before by someone at a UPS store. It completely threw me for a loop. I told her the category, knowing why she was asking. She wasnt rude or anything; I guess it just threw me off and felt a bit unprofessional to be so lazy about it. I didnt have any issues though, and she was nice.

All I wanted to do was drop off my package. I was in a rush, had to get back to work and the girl behind the counter must think she owns UPS said I had to wait while it took her 20 minutes to figure out how to print a label. Um, no. Not waiting just to drop off a package that has a purchased label. It was ready to go. Just needed to drop it off. But the employee made it seem like she wasnt going to ship my package.

The person who worked the counter completely prepared my package for me which will be a huge help for Christmas. He was very kind. I couldnt find the supplies and he explained that was because he did it for me. He earned my business today for a very long time.

The people that work here are not at all helpful and need more corporate training on how to do the simplist of takes like reprinting a label again. I would recommend going and taking the time to drive to Dearborn for better service..

Every time I go here, its totally fine. I have no idea why people complain so much. They are miserable because the customers treat the workers like crap. But when I smile and talk to them, its a perfect day in this store.

I can not encourage you any more than saying to never spend your money here. The people who work here are miserable. I go to other stores in Downtown Detroit and Allen Park. Support those stores or ANYWHERE else.
