The employees there are unprofessional. The owner was looking at somebodys application at a computer stall at the front desk. She was making comments about how that person has four DUIs and will not get hired there and was showing this screen to one of the other workers. All within a few feet of me, the customer. If I wanted to lean forward and look at the screen I could have, I just didnt want to because I believe in being professional and privacy. The guy helping me at check-in was making borderline inappropriate jokes. Then, another guy checked me out and was rude. When I returned the truck, the borderline inappropriate guy decided to argue with me when I told him there was glass in their parking lot and it needed to be swept and that was the reason why we didnt park there. He argued with me and said that it was only "gravel", which it was not. I told the guy to stop arguing with me and pointed out the pieces of sharp debris in their parking lot that needed to be swept. To his credit, he did apologize and started to clean it by the time we were pulling out of the parking lot. It was a creepy environment and the workers were confrontational, not helpful, and unprofessional. Put todays terrible experience on top of a terrible experience last November and I give this place zero stars if I could. Last November, I rented a truck and U-Haul decided to clean it with water in sub-freezing temperature causing the inside of the truck to be an ice sheet. I was loading a piano and took my first step on the ice sheet and lost my footing. By the grace of God only, the piano bounced off my leg and only caused minor damage. I complained to the store and the main customer service number and nobody bothered to call me back. The ownership of this location give off the sense that they dont care about people and are only concerned with the money.

I brought my truck into this business to have it re-wired for a trailer as it was not working and wires had pulled out of the 7 way harness. They told me that it was wired improperly and would have to be redone at a cost of $150.00. After it was completed, the taillights on the truck did not work, and the electric brakes did not work. After bringing the vehicle into the Dodge dealership to have it looked at for the taillight issue, they told me the whole thing would have to be rewired again as there were numerous breaks in the wiring used to test for power and never sealed the wires, Wrong connectors were used that could result in corrosion from the weather, Connections were not heat sealed and the plug was wired incorrectly. So after $500.00 additional cost, my truck is actually fixed the correct way. I chose not to return it to this business for fear that they might do further damage to it. Would not recommend this place for service at all.

Have used U-Haul many times over the last few years. service at apple valley was good, but I think that the largest trucks are getting smaller because in 2011 I moved my family back from Pueblo CO to Minneapolis, , and Moved back to the Denver area in 2013 and used the same amount of space A 26ft truck with 6x12 trailer. after moving back to MN from Pueblo we got rid of a ton of furniture and various large items. when we moved back to Co we had to use exact same amount of space to get to CO again? Seems to me that the Trucks used to be 27ft and attic space was much larger? I think the overall dimensions of the cargo areas are smaller too. Any body else seem to have this problem too... Seems like they are following the lead of all manufacturers charge more for less!! and dont tell the consumer that they are getting less for their money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend having your hitch installed at this location. Technicians had to remove automobile parts to be able to install the hitch. When problems were encountered in reinstalling these parts, the technicians were deceitful and extremely rude to me. Im not sure what they did to remedy the situation. What I was told would take 5 minutes took them 2 hours. I asked to see what they had done before they lowered my car. It was clear they did not want me looking at the work that was done. I was told "There is nothing to see." When I attempted to look anyway, one of the technicians turned his back and walked away, clearly refusing to show me. You can be sure I will be taking my car to my mechanic to see what took them two hours to accomplish.

Extremely bad customer service, and the manager was right there and she let the guy behind the counter be rude. I set up a date and time of 7AM for a hitch install. I was told by the guy that if the parts were not in by the day prior to install, they would call and reschedule for later in the week. Sure enough, get up early and go there...parts are not in. When I asked why I didnt get a phone call to reschedule, the guy was rude and tried coming up with excuses. It was obvious he didnt care, he argued with me about them not calling me to reschedule. All while the manager stood there and did nothing. I will never go back to this location, I will go out of my way to rent elsewhere. Too bad I have to give a star, they dont deserve it.

Moved across the country from MN to CA using the boxes so I could store my stuff until my new place was available. I was given one price when i booked months before the move but they changed my reservation in store with out telling me costing me almost a grand more!!!! It took months of fighting and the rudest employees ever to get part of it refunded. I would never choose UHAUL again because of this nightmare. They were so incredibly rude at the upper managements level . They have so many customers when something goes wrong on their side, they dont care...

We highly recommend U-Haul in Apple Valley. This place kills it with exceptional service! Kris is fantastic! We needed help finding a hitch to tow a camper for the week. He was calm and caring-he understood what was at stake-our safety as well as the camper. Kris not only found exactly what hitch was required, he had the know how to install it too! Very prompt, knowledgeable and patient. Go see them for anything you need.

I have rented a 5x8 trailer from this location. Great service. I made multiple reservations well in advance and have not been disappointed. The trailers are in good shape, clean and the electrical always works. The staff has always been propmt to either hook-up or un-hook the trailer. Most of my rentals are in the winter months -- and even in the bitter cold the service has been excellent.

Genuinely had a great experience working with this location. Kevin (I believe) was incredibly friendly and helpful with setting up our trailer, and when we experienced some issues, he helped us solve them and ultimately saved us money. The woman at the check-out was also very friendly. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking for moving equipment!
