The Wanderer

Loved it to begin with. Its gotten progressively worse in my opinion. Now tonight its 10pm and the entire weight training area is full. Im over this place as an actual gym. Its s complete joke. Ill keep my membership for taking l tanning/massage so they dont care. But if you want to actually work out here then Id explore your options. Im so thoroughly pissed off at the amount of traffic at 10pm on a Tuesday. They just want to cram memberships. I had to redo my rating. I thinks its ridiculous how judgemental they are against other people. They basically have a sign that says youre a douche if you drink from a gallon jug. Seems very hypocritical. Edit again - Im now completely disappointed with this place. They preach all this non judgemental bs, but theyre the most absurdly judgemental gym Ive seen. Its mostly one guy that always seems to cause a problem with people for absolutely no reason. My buddy had a regular tank to on that you cant even see his traps in and its nowhere near a string tank. Hes always respectful, doesnt do anything to upset anyone and just quietly works out. Then because hes a more muscular guy the guy with a complex that works there tells him he cant wear it. For no reason. It wasnt violating their absurd rules to begin with. This is the same guy thats given me crap for taking my sweater off and laying it down next to where I work out. Theyll just continue to lose members by harassing people for no reason. Its also very contradicting to their "values".

PROS & CONS Pros 1. Its very cheap Cons 1. WIFI = dial-up speed. Dont plan on streaming music or even browsing FB while working out. 2. There are very limited free weight options 3. The TVs are set to a vapid channel line-up. Is the local NFL team playing their biggest rival? Too bad. Youll be stuck with more TVs set to Kardashian garbage than the game. Go ahead and ask for them to change one of the 30 TVs. Theyll tell you that corporate sets the channels and even their site management cant change a channel. 4. They will bill you for an extra month. Really? Yes. I called during my Jan billing period to cancel my membership via phone, and they told me I had to cancel in-person or wait for them to mail me a form, fill it out, and mail it back via Certified Mail for it to be binding. Thus, I drove over to the gym trying to avoid the mail delay dragging me into the next billing cycle. When I got there, they told me that "Because we bill in advance, youll be charged one more month." In short, I dont recommend PF... at all.

Facility is nice, usually clean in workout area and lockers. Never had an issue so far with being too crowded. My reason for 3 stars vs 5 is when I signed up they assured / assumed I could get reimbursed $20/mo through my health insurance. I even filled out another separate piece of paper for it. I did not call and verify myself until today and I find out my insurance does not have a partnership with PF. Now Im in a contract and will have to pay a fee to get out of it because the cost was misrepresented to me (they told me I would need to pay the tax on the membership - roughly $2 per month so I was thrilled) at the time I signed on the dotted line. Buyer beware and do your research before you sign up. The salespeople should have seen this enough times to know or keep a list somewhere of which health insurance companies have agreements with PF corporate.

Now, a year later, all of the staff greets me by name and takes time to get to know me! The gym is INSANELY clean I dont even know how thats possible since there is so much equipment. With the black card i get to go tanning, use massage chairs, and hydromassage beds at no extra price! Ive been saying Cayce, the gyms fitness instructor, for 6 months now and she has helped me greatly towards reaching my fitness goals! I never feel afraid to come in to workout as there are no meatheads and the staff is always so welcoming. Even the overnight workers spend time talking to you! Jasper is a hoot. The daily staff must get their great customer service from their manager, Bryan. He is so friendly to everyone who walks through the door and can brighten anyones day with a corny joke.

A bit crowded and way too many cardio machines to smith / free weights. Good staff, lunk alarm is a bit much - essentially discouraging the guys that are pushing out that last rep. If youre a serious lifter, go elsewhere. If youre looking to loose weight or improve cardio, this is the place for you. Also, the contract (12 months locked in) kinda sucks especially when you move away from your home gym and their isnt a PF in 40 miles of you.

Nice gym. Staff is nice. Lots of cardio machines and they have never been full enough for a waiting line which is a bonus. They dont have the most free weights or pulley machines that I have come to wish for but they do have them. I made the sacrifice on that and free weights and have turned mostly to machines to get my weight workout done. I would say I get 85% of my typical workout there.

Full service gym a an amazing price. The "no judgement zone" is horrendously judgemental though. This entire place is designed to insult and descriminate against body builders, and people with similar goals. I am just there to lose weight, however the fact this gym singles out s specific group of people doesnt sit well with me

This is great gym for only $10 a month. Staff is nice and place is super clean. Tons of cardio and strength. About time we got a Planet Fitness near me. Was surprised how big it was, full lockers and open 24/7and get free unlimited training, which cost me fortune at my old gym.

The gym is ok but the wifi is terrible, also the womens Locker room needs a complete makeover...compared to other Pf! And what gym doesnt have a scale? I understand its a no critics no judgement theme but how do you track progress without a scale.

Love this place. Dont need to worry about impressing anyone with cute you dress or how bad you may feel about the way you look. We are all there for the same reason. Non judgement. Staff is friendly. Courteous also. Lots of equipment for everyone

I didnt even know there was a planet fitness in Burnsville and noticed it when I was running errands. I immediately came in and joined when I saw the price and perks. Couldnt be happier with my decision!

Good price, but I had a bad experience when it came to canceling my membership. Double check the employee actually cancels your membership. They charged me 3 months + late fees after I canceled.

All these people complaining on here get a life ! The gym does not revolve around you I go at 10 oclock everynight and there is more than enough room to do what you have to do... Really!

Only been going here for a few months but the staff is friendly and everything is always clean. Lots of cardio machines and a good amount of other machines/weights as well
