Misleading price changes, mostly poor stylists, & long waits... I have been going to Fantastic Sams for roughly 10 years, from Apple Valley, Burnsville, Edina, and Eden Prairie. Whenever I move home/work locations there is a Fantastic Sams nearby. I have always thought that they have the best balance of wait time, quality, and cost. Unfortunately this location has let me down. I walked in today and the receptionist was taking PHONE APPOINTMENTS! I thought all Fantastic Sams were walk-in only....! So while I sit in the EMPTY waiting area for my haircut someone comes in and gets to have their hair cut before me (Phone appt).... There is one strike against this location. I finally get a seat after a lengthy wait and ask for a fade up the sides with the top cut by hand... SUPER SIMPLE! The stylist tells me it may be a higher cost depending on how long it takes?! WHAT?!?! SO INSTEAD OF BEING TOLD UPFRONT I HAVE TO SIT FOR 40 MINS AND THEN GET TOLD MY CUT MIGHT BE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN POSTED! CAN YOU SAY "BAIT AND SWITCH"!! I almost walked out but had waited this long and never had an issue with this cut before so I went for it... Strike two! The hair cut was barely acceptable being slightly uneven from the left side to right but I could live with it. During the cut the owner himself talked to the stylist distrating her and slowing her down, her clippers stopped functioning properly, and another stylist had clipper issues and asked my stylist for help...! Strike Three! At the register the haircut must not have been fast enough so I had to pay $6 higher than expected... I HAVE BEEN TO THIS LOCATION 3-4 TIMES AND ONLY HAD ONE HAIRCUT I LIKED. NOW YOUR STYLIST HAS TO RACE THE CLOCK OR ELSE IT COSTS YOU AN EXTRA $6.00!!!!???!?! Strike Four? Huh? Once again I paid an extra $6.00 because my simple fade up the sides and scissors on top haircut is somehow "fancy".... Needless to say that neither myself or my three children will not be going to any Fantastic Sams with this ridiculous "race the clock" policy...!

It was a worst experience , try it at ur own risk . Initially few months back when I went for a hair cut , it was a nice experience . Hence I went once again But this time I had a horrible experience firstly I had to wait for a long time and then the stylist who was doing my hair cut was very rude and didnt even respond properly . Her main objective was to complete the hair cut as soon as possible . She didnt even had patience to even comb my hair or at least care to inform me after completing the hair cut , she was just rushing to the counter for preparing the bill leaving me at the chair .She was very unprofessional and rude .If they had other priorities they should not accept any appointments . I would never go to this branch again , visit at your own risk .

Dont even bother trying the place. Its great if you can get in, but they dont allow appointments and will have 2-3 hour waits for their walk ins. They take your name and phone # so you can run errands while you wait, and they say that theyll call you when theyre ready for you, but theyll just take your name off the list immediately. One would think that a phone call letting you know that you were taken off the list would be standard, so that you dont waste your entire day waiting...honestly such an unprofessional and poorly run place. Save yourself weeks of trying to even get in, let alone the bad haircut youll receive from anyone but Jessica, and just go somewhere else.

Dont go here for a cut, period. Old lady named Barb is the worst hair stylist ive experienced. She did a total whack job of a haircut, and was very rude and unprofessional. 0/10, Barb sucks. Hey Barb, if you dont like your job that much, then just quit! There are plenty of other places to work where you can be grouchy and not have to interact with customers/people.

I just got a haircut with Deanna, and she did a really fantastic layering job on my long hair. Great lift and face framing layers--she really listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to what I should do. Not overly chatty and she was focused on the job, which I appreciated, because I hate making fake small talk.

Was told Id be next since someone didnt show up. He showed up 35 minutes late to his appointment. Then they took him before me anyway, and proceeded to take several other people before me. Being "next" turned into waiting nearly an hour and a half. They offered no explanation.

Jessika is awesome! I go to her for eyebrow waxing and she is by far the best I have ever had. I usually spend upwards of 20-30 on eyebrow waxes and I get a better job done by by her for more than half the price. Definitely will recommend!

Deanna did a great job.. that girl from Texas Rocks! My wife got hers done by Crystal and is one of the best cuts I think shes ever had.. Beautiful job Thanks Crystal!

Literally the worst haircut Ive ever gotten. Went somewhere else and asked them to shave it all so we could start over. Avoid this place like the plague.

I had an all over foil done by Jessika and its the best my hair has ever looked and felt after coloring it. Go to Jessika shes really talented!!

I had two stylist and each one did a poor job. I have to go to a different location to get their mistakes fixed every time. Dont go there!!
