Love love LOVE my new hair! Had a great experience in the salon. Atmosphere: smells just like an Aveda salon should, warm welcome by the woman at the front desk and offered a beverage. Took my seat and my stylist was out within 3 minutes to get me, so no waiting which I like! I felt that the chairs were very close together, the stylist next to our station actually hit my arm a few times - why so cramped? Also, they use stainless steel tool boxes on wheels to store their things, like brushes, curling irons, etc. Really felt like a strange element to add to the salon. Cut: My stylist is still in training and was aided by 2 different trainers. The cut took over 2 hours, but it was complicated (shoulder length hair to a long, a-symmetrical pixie) and I could sense the nerves from my stylist, so much so that I could feel her hands shaking as she help my hair. Nerves aside, I LOVE this haircut. I was pretty nervous myself, but am very happy. Both trainers could sense my un-ease at points and both made a point to talk to me, crack a joke, etc. It was great! Styling: I went in to get a fun, full of movement and body, spunky/edgy haircut. I left feeling like a soccer mom! It was over-worked and there was about 3 different kinds of hairspray in it, plus a bunch of other products. I was hoping to a piecey, broken up type style to showcase this cut, but alas that was up to me once I got home. I couldnt even change it because there was too much hairspray. Once it was shampooed and styled on my own it was much better! Overall, I would definitely go back to this salon and would recommend to friends and family that they do too!

From the minute I stepped into New Reflections I was treated like royalty. ChristalB did semiformal updo/braid on my long hair.I was so impressed with her skill and consideration of what I had planned that day. After a fun experience at the salon, I left feeling, &looking like, a princess.The compliments came all day long. I felt like a walking, talking work of art. I went back to Christal for highlights & lowlights.After a brief consultation...her listening to the look I wanted and looking at my head if hair,she determined only partial highlights were needed.I get compliments on my hair everyday.The look is so natural that most people think it is just my summer blonde coming through even though I dont get out into the sun that often! I love that Christal worked with my natural color to brighten my blonde (and disguise gray/white hairs!) so I have beautiful,but low maintenance,hair.Because of the great hair care experiences, I went back to NR for a professional makeup application.Not only did I receive care during the service, but I was given tips to accentuate my positives---using less makeup!

It seems the place is really well run because of the atmosphere and the friendly nature of everyone when I buy product. However, it is not worth the price. At another Aveda salon in Champlin the same service can be done with greater care for $35 less. I was a walk in, and I was asking to have pink foils done in a pattern that was already pink and just needed to be touched up. They were extremely accommodating and polite. The gal who did it seemed to do a fine job with the color and was very knowledgeable, but she was very rough and didnt take care of my hair, color, or curls in a way that they should be. My head physically hurt when she was done. I give them a 5 because of their commitment to doing a good job, but would recommend shopping around first

Amazing service and outstanding talent. Especially Christal B. I have very thick curly coarse hair and she knew exactly how to tame it, cut it properly and color it perfectly. She was not intimidated by my hair at all - unlike the other salons especially the one on Zane Ave in Brooklyn Park. After my old hairdresser moved from downtown, it took me decades to find a talented stylist who understands my crazy hair! If you are a Curly Girl, I HIGHLY recommend Christal B. Furthermore, her beautiful smile is contagious. You are the best Christal. Thank you for making me look and feel beautiful.♥️

I have been getting my hair cut at New Reflections for a while, but recently decided to take the leap and have my hair colored there too. I could not be happier with the results. Bridget listened carefully to what I wanted, discussed it with me to make sure we were on the same page, and gave me a fantastic color! It is absolutely perfect. I love coming to New Reflections, because the prices are very reasonable for the level of service, and the complimentary scalp and hand massages with the lovely scented Aveda products are to die for.

Ive been a client at New Reflections off and on for over 10 years, and I absolutely love it there. For the past three years, Ive been going there regularly - and I am lucky enough to see Mindy K. She listens to all of my ideas, and we discuss our plan thoroughly before she begins. The results are wonderful, and I always receive a lot of compliments on my hair. Not only is she amazing at what she does, Mindy also always ensures I have a relaxing, pampered experience. I highly HIGHLY recommend!!

Started going here about a year ago to get a cleaner look for a wedding I was in. They recommended Ashley Rae and have been going back to her ever since. Definitely would recommend making an appointment. She is very friendly and helpful with anything you need. I was a bit nervous my first visit to a salon but she helped me decide what would be a good look to go for and I have been extremely happy ever since. The entire staff is great and helpful with anything you might need.

I go to New Reflection in Maple Grove 2 times a week! When you walk in the reception desk greets you with a smile every time! Offers beverages and lets you know that your stylist will be with you soon! I see Shawna and Mindy! The both are absolutely the best in the business! Unbelievable shampoos and hand massages and I leave every time looking gorgeous!!I have also seen a few of the other stylists and everyone is talented! Best salon in Maple Grove!!

With the Maple Grove "Back To School" fashion show tonight, the Vokal Photography experience team all got glam looks from New Reflections and we all look amazing!!! The makeup artists are talented and they are equally talented at hair. So happy with the look they have created for me and everyone else :) definitely recommend!! The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is happy, and I cant wait to go back!

My appointment was at 5, I called to change it because the traffic was ugly with all the rain and the person who took my call was very rude. Too bad, Im not going back, I really like the person who did my hair last time. But the person who takes care of the appointments was rude and wasnt understanding that it was not expected for me to cancel the appointment but anyways I will look for a different place to go.

I was extremely disappointed. I wanted a bolyage and after two hours I couldnt really tell the difference in my hair. It was so subtle and the people at the front desk just told me to schedule a new appointment and therefore spend more on a second dye. I think they arent used to working with Asian hair and people of color (in terms of customer service ).
