Took a risk because I wanted to go organic. I was booked with Layne, who was not genuinely professional at all and seemed very inexperienced. I had the Jojoba hair treatment and was charged $45 just for some oil in my hair and wash (which i could have done at home). Then I asked for my length to be maintained for the haircut, but it was cut too short. I was left around unattended to, waiting to guess when she would come back to me, while she was doing a color on someone else. Layne recommended Kassies products and put Avedas products down even though she had supposedly graduated from Aveda Institute, which shows little for loyalty.. The owner Kassie didnt feel friendly at all either. Bad experience overall. Update: Went back to get the Shampoo and Conditioner on recommendation of Layne, after telling her my experiences with other shampoos. Kassie was very nice this time, Im guessing she was just having a better day and I was buying her shampoo. Tried the Shampoo. I liked the smell as it smelt like cake, but it was so drying!!! I had dandruff next day and my hair felt really dry. I hate giving bad reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I think I will stick to non-organic salons, and over the counter-in store, much affordable organic shampoos that actually work - Jason, Yes to Carrots, Aveda etc.. Kasias shampoo did not have drying effects after the oil treatment I had at the salon, hence I didnt notice any effects next day. But as an everyday shampoo, I wouldnt recommend it unless you have a naturally very oily scalp. They didnt even have sample sizes that I could purchase, so I am down $20/each shampoo and conditioner. aargh Sorry I will not be back.

I am so happy I finally took the plunge and put in a couple extensions in my front trouble spot! I had been thinking about it for a couple years and Kassie patiently answered my questions - and when I got serious about it because I felt it would fit in my budget, she answered my many, many questions (she knows I need to feel comfortable with what is happening and my budget). My front section of hair had stopped growing beyond my cheekbone area and it just didnt look right - I loved my color but didnt love the way it looked. Last night I finally put in 2 extensions and it made a world of difference!!! My hair looks fabulous!!! I am thrilled. Thank you Kassie for being patient with me - because you were not only am I thrilled with the final look I am happy with the process and cost. Yay!!! On another note, best deal in town....20 minute facial while your hair processes for $20 with Taylor!!! My skin is glowing and Taylor is a wonderful esthetician!! I will definitely be doing that again!

Ive turned to Kassandra and Beauty Ecology over the past 3 years and have valued her services and knowledge for a variety of my hair challenges! She has helped me with thinning, dry, and brittle hair. Over the past year due to environment and internal health nuances, I experienced sudden and serious hair loss. I had my first of what Im sure will be MANY visits to Kasia yesterday. I went in with shoulder length hair determined to get a short cut, but was quite nervous about cutting it all off. Layne was amazing, so friendly, enthusiastic, and talented. I have never had a stylist listen so carefully to my needs. I explained that I never do anything with my hair (wash and wear to the max). Layne gave me hands down the most flattering and manageable haircut Ive ever had. When she was done cutting it, she showed me exactly how to style it in the mornings in less than 30 seconds. I am thrilled with my hair cut and had a great time at the salon. Its a great atmosphere and smells so delicious. I walked in and it smelled like tea rather than the harsh chemicals I have become so accustomed to smelling in salons. Its great to know that the products used are safe for me. Thanks ladies -- Ill be back for sure!

Since going vegan, I stopped dying my hair and going to salons altogether. Well 4 years later, my hair needed some help. And I needed to find a salon that used vegan products and hair color. I started searching around and emailing organic/natural-minded salons. Kassandra at Beauty Ecology got back to me right away (the same day!) and assured me her products were 100% vegan so I made an appointment right away. Kassandra was so sweet and listened to what I was looking for. The result? I traded my ragged blonde locks for a polished brunette look — thank you so much for the makeover, Kassandra! It was just what I needed to kick off spring :) If anyone else likes to vote with your dollar as I do, definitely check out Beauty Ecology — this is a local business with heart that cares about your health, the environment and the animals :)

I was finally happy with my hair until I modeled for a recent hair show.  A  color conditioner was put onto my bright blonde hair and I was told it would wash right out.  And then it didnt....  I washed my hair over five times and was put through two bleach washes and the orange still did not fade. Freaked and frazzled, this is when I turned to Kassandra @BE  to help nurture my hair back to health and bring it back to the bright none brassy tone I previously had!   I appreciated her knowledge and help to set realistic goals for myself and taught me the importance of getting my hair foundationally healthy instead of stripping it with harmful chemicals like bleach.  Kassie is one of the sweetest ladies Ive ever met and I would definitely count on her to make your hair even better than it was before!

The salon is modern and beautiful. Holly was an gem to work with. She was personable, made very helpful suggestions and was very clear. I loved my haircut and styling. Unfortunately, I bought a Groupon to use here and what was promised was unclear in terms of what the express Keratin treatment included. The owner should have been upfront when helping me book the appointment. (It really ends up being a deep conditioning at best.) Holly had to clear this up the more we talked during the appointment. Id love to see Holly again, but Im not sure I can justify the cost even though the experience was great, the results are not even close to what I thought I was paying for in terms of the overall result, even short-term.

I visited Kasia last week for my first ever natural, ammonia-free (minus several other nasty chemicals!) hair color. From the moment I walked in (this was my first visit, too) I was warmly greeted and welcomed by Lauren, the salon manager and then the owner, Kassandra. I am SO pleased with the results of my hair color! Kassandra, gave me exactly what I wanted in terms of color and highlights, and her service and level of professionalism was across the board extradordinary! I love this salons committment to organic ingredients in their products. I highly recommend Kasia for both services and total hair and body care products----and, top notch customer care!
