Signed up for snow removal. Paid $500 for the season and expected quality for that price. They have a contract that states they will come by and dig you out during the snowfall if there is 8in or more. Then they will come back within 12 hrs to clean up the sidewalks and driveway. I called during the heavy snowfall and they told me that someone would be here in 1-2 hours. "We were on the list". That was at 4pm yesterday. When no one showed I only got vm until this morning. When I spoke with someone at 8am, they again told me we "were one the list" but they were now no longer doing dig outs. We would have to wait until they came around for the touch-ups. They refused to move us up on the list even though we never got the dig out. I did ask for an estimate on when they would be here so I could at least plan my day. They told me they would call right back but never did. I ended up not being able to get my kids to school that morning. I was hoping that they would at least be able to keep the promise - made in writing in the contact - to come by within 12 hrs to do the cleanup. 16hr later and counting, they are still a no show. Ive tried several times since this morning and only got voicemail. I ended up shoveling the driveway myself in hopes that I can get out in a few hours when I need to go to school.

We interviewed several landscapers and initially chose KG because we liked Kents design approach, flexibility in scheduling when we needed it (fast), and value. We confirmed we made the absolute best choice after having their crew onsite for a couple of weeks and see the gorgeous outcome! A couple of examples of wonderful service - 1) we had a GIANT custom pizza oven delivered and the KG crew helped my husband and the forklift driver carefully unpack, move, and position it perfectly on the foundation that KG had laid, 2) Kent was very accommodating in ongoing design changes and shifts, as well as getting our aesthetic and finding AWESOME historic brick pavers for our patio, and 3) the little things that matter like completely cleaning up daily and at the end of the job (down to washing the sides of the house and the driveway), respecting existing planting, and even laying down some sod for free because they had a little extra at the shop! I would not hesitate to recommend KG or to use them again, which in fact we will be doing to finish our outdoor kitchen and landscaping in the future.

I signed up for KGs lawn care services last spring of 2012 and extended my contract into the winter for their snow removal services. I have been nothing short of impressed, in fact they have exceeded my expectations. Its so refreshing to have one phone number to call with a guaranteed "hello, how are you?" rather than being stuck on hold, and talking to an operator for 20 minutes to get one simple question answered. The men behind the scenes are polite and friendly, and they do what they say theyre going to do. More importantly, they listened to my landscaping wants and needs. We had A LOT of snow this winter, I can imagine they had their hands full. For how much snow we did get, KG stuck to their promise of being at my property within 6 hours of when the snow stopped. They even did touch ups if I called back later on, Ive hired many companies in the past and KG has, by far, been the most reliable crew to work with. Overall, the customer service is the major reason as to why Im renewing my contract with them this year for 2013-2014-- both summer and winter. Thank you KG!

We have been using TruGreen for the past 18 months and decided it was time for a change for a variety of reasons for our landscaping. We love supporting local businesses and after getting quotes from multiple companies we decided to go with KG and couldnt be happier with the decision. They have been very prompt in responding, total straight shooters and go above and beyond. For example, we didnt have a chance to get our new sprinkler system set up and even though they provide that service and we used a different company, they set it up for us so we could mark the sprinkler heads. They also tore down a compost bin for my wife as I had to travel and couldnt help. The owner Kent studied this stuff at the U of M and is extremely knowledgeable, even though hes relatively young. Wow! Is my landscaping awesome or what! KG exceeded our expectations in every way. The project started off with professionally done proposal drawings. These scale drawings were detailed so we could understand where every plant and tree would be placed. KG also installed a very involved sprinkler system that works extremely well. No more hoses to pull around! The work itself was started on time with a very friendly crew that worked full days to make sure the project deadline was met. After the job was completed our property was cleaned up looking top notch. Lack of communication between customer and the hired company can destroy a project. Not this one, Kent was very clear with what had to be done and always available when I had a question. Our landscaping is now the envy of the neighborhood. I wish to thank KG management and their crew for a job well done.

Working with Kent on our landscaping has been a great experience. Kent responded to our request within a day and was very flexible with our schedules. Aside from being a very easy going and friendly guy, it is clear he has a lot of experience and creative ideas. KG Landscape transformed our lawn from the most embarrassing lawn on the block to the most elegant! Last year we lost our old maple tree. We were left with a hole in the ground and absolutely no curb appeal to compliment our house. My wife and I, like most people these days did not have any open weekends to tackle this much needed task of bringing our yard back to life. WE call KG Landscape to the rescue. They designed, installed and consulted on how to maintain from beginning to end. Now we have a great yard with tons of flowers, plants, trees, etc with a fully installed irrigation system to keep everything healthy.
